this is the core of it, really. People aren't asking for cosmetics to be handed to them for free, they're asking for more things to do(including earnable rewards) that keep them playing. And a F2P game needs to have people playing, because no one is going to buy cosmetics from a cash shop if they're not playing the game.
This stream of content filler that consists almost entirely of RNG plush drops and funko pods have worn out their welcome for a large number of players, and many people just want to have a way to show off their progress and accomplishments with their character, instead of a house that no one sees.

I know they know this. It’s been has been brought up multiple times in chat (which they’ve ghosted) and shared as feedback on their website. Plenty of players want(ed) to support the game in other ways. But this is just another example of S6 ignoring their player base.

Yeah, matching is a huge factor for me as far as purchasing some of these items. Tool skins as well as the gliders.
For example the new Veilhunter one I believe it is, why only one color variation? Why not all colors like the outfit offers.

Tomorrow maybe my make it or break it with Palia. The love of the game is definitely diminishing. I was optimistically waiting for 2025 to see if they would fix several bugs. I am unable to use my purchased items pets , clothes and tools for the last two updates due to bugs so I pretty much lost money and feel ripped off but tonight after grinding for days to purchase zeki coins and get 5 seeds made me so angry I almost deleted the game. I sort of understand what you're saying, but as someone who comes from WoW... It has a /roll function, that is, well, rolling a dice in chat. If there is anybody making IRL money from that, it's super minimal and rare.

The most that you have seen someone do, is maybe someone saying to roll to get a piece of gear that dropped, maybe to see if someone gets gold (but it's so minimal that it doesnt affect anything), or just for fun. It's not something that has affected that economy at all.

I don't see it affecting Palia's at all, if it was to introduce an economy of the same caliber. If anything, I can see people just doing goofy rolls with eachother, maybe someone can get flow wood via the request system, ro something similar. I don't think it'd be as extreme as youre making it sound!

I liked the quest. I thought it was well done. Yeah, it's shorter than I'd like it to be, but I get it. This is still a game I don't pay anything for, it's still in beta, and they intended to release a major content patch in a few months, so I cannot expect much.

one we actually discussed months ago. if you drop into the water/lava too many times subira offers a way to skip the puzzles for ppl who are struggling with it. but yeah i wasn't able to go back to air temple for example and incorporate the same thing :(

yes, if you fall into the water or lava 5 times, there will be a dialogue option pop up on subira/the compass in which she offers to bring you to the end of the platforming/puzzle part.

• Jira doesnt appear in the Temple for me
• You cannot destroy plants/crops on your farm anymore (right click to destroy doesnt work)
• Fishing sounds missing / broken
• Running + changing clothes/outfits break the outfits sometimes
• Running + using the new rolling Emote makes incredible lag

I'm curious what others think though or if I'm alone in this bit of feedback, but for me I generally like to see alternatives rather than just straight up skipping content if people are having trouble with it. Something like a "branching path" where you can either do the platforming section or maybe do a short fetch quest / gather a couple items to bypass it.

we try to work alternatives into quests where possible, but it does tend to double the effort and dev time, so it's not always possible to do it and still get content out.

Yes, background music on Switch completely gone since patch 0.185. There was a workaround moving the game data to internal storage but it's not working anymore. It's already been reportedso let's hope it's fixed soon.

I'll be honest, I do like some of the outfits with effects (mostly the sorcerer and pretty guardian outfits) but it does irk me as well how they've just become an excuse to amp up the pricing even more. And they can definitely be incredibly distracting in game, specially in cooking parties with plots full of people.

And some of the effects are just so visually obstrusive

A clientside option to enable/disable all outfit effects
and an option for players to choose whether they want those effects to show on the outfit they're wearing or not.

That's all they need to do, but the one time that they looked like they might actually do it, it didn't happen, and then they stealth-removed any mention that it looked like they were going to do it

It would also just be a smart move, because by not implementing that toggle they're turning away players who just want to buy the outfit but not have the effects, and ironically, losing money in the process.

All those outfits I actually like, are actually ruined by the effects, to the point that even if I were willing to spend, I still wouldn't buy them entirely because there's no way to turn them off.
