If you change the bind for placing an object. You can double jump and grab the tree while in the air and it will act as though you aren't holding anything. Then place the light on a pole in the spot that the tree was. Switch plots and come back and it should be inside it

you are indeed NOT alone!! I am, quite frankly, filled with robust crankiness that this is the 2nd sweepstakes for a console that is for steam players only ... and for a switch2, no less!! What about the neglected-runt-of-the-litter switch players that have been dedicated to playing through all the troubles since the launch - wouldn't the dictated switch players make much more sense to entice play for in order to get a switch2, for better game play?

I get that the play time for being eligible is trackable by logging onto steam, but why is there not an option for others to be able to partake in this. Feels very exclusionary and like a kick-to-the-curb for those of us who have stuck with this game thru the switch troubles for so long. I have a switch2, I was fortunate to start saving pennies early in anticipation, so I am not filed with ire on my own behalf, but on those of my fellow suffering switch players.

All other platforms have better game visual experiences, and I get the limitations the switch has around that and am very glad I get to play the game on my preferred console, but this just seems ... so very disappointing.

You need to buy a keyboard that has its own usb connector. I just bought one off amazon to connect to my PS5 for like $18. I just got a super basic one because all I’m going to use it for is Palia chat. Just search wireless keyboard and make sure it has a usb to plug into your PS. It doesn’t have to be a keyboard made for PS, if that makes sense? Unless that’s not what you’re looking for!

Empty the hoppers and output bins for the seeders and hit the X next to the timer to cancel the stuck job. Then pick up the seeder to your backpack to reset them.

For me personally, the problem only happens after I pick up the loot you get from using one of the tools. And also only when I have a secondary action mapped to the same button you use to pick up loot... That secondary action then seems to get blocked. Not sure if we have the same issue but it sounded pretty similar 😉

I use a wired keyboard. Ps5 has some compatibility issues with Bluetooth keyboards, so make sure you check if the Bluetooth keyboard you want to buy is verified non-issue

It really is sooooo much easier. Lil tip don't press enter to send the message, it's a lil buggy. Open chat with R1, press X to type, let thevon screen keyboard pop up, then type, close the on screen keyboard with the controller and hit triangle to send

It sounds like a lot but it's very quick once you get used to it and 100000 times better than letter by letter input with the controller

There’s a new currency inventory your still getting it. Also there’s a bug where you cant receive essence above a certain amount. I think it was any essence above 87k just disappears into the void

take your time, the quest "find your shepp" that you'll get soon, it is a way for you to slowly learn about all the characters stories while you do other things. it's the first main big Kilima quest and it's over before you know it
try to keep 2 to 3 of every fish and insect you catch. keep as many cooking and building resources as you can. and upgrade those tools to help you gather those resources
farming brings in steady profit, so keep an eye on your crops. my first farm set up was: a row of alternating potatoes and tomatoes, a row of alternating carrots and onions, then the potatoes/tomato again, then the carrot/ onion again ect. the tomatoes and potatoes keep your crop from having to be watered so often and the carrots and onion made it so I didn't need to weed

It happens on PC as well. Seems to be connected to having a secondary action (jumping/running...) mapped to the same button you use to pick up loot. That secondary action gets blocked after picking up loot until you use one of the tools again, forage something or use the unstuck button. What I did to fix it for now is map the interact (pick up loot) action to the "X" button (on Xbox controller. That would be Square on PS) and use that button ONLY as interact. You may have to move some other buttons around but it's a workaround for now 😇

I have them in my chests and I have put them in my inventory on me and still nothing shows up. I only have starred apples and I had changed the recipe to use only quality ingredients but still nothing. Anyone have this as well?

Basically it has to do with the interact button and the jumping button being the same. for me on xbox i had to switch my jump button to Y and keep my interact A and it works perfectly 🙂

Hi console peeps. I’m on Switch, and struggling so hard with the constant disconnects. I’ve done everything it suggests online, but can’t figure out how to get my router (ATT fiber) to let me put it in DMZ.

My upload/download speed is decent to amazing, depending on how close I am to the router, and I’ve moved all data to the switch hard drive, etc…anyone find the magic solution out there?

I don’t even know HOW to connect an Ethernet to my switch - guess I need an adapter? But I don’t really want to sit in the office and play anyway…

Yes, and restarted the switch. I just ordered a usb to Ethernet cord, and am looking into “power line networking” - gonna call AT&T fiber to see what’s involved tomorrow. I don’t really want to sink a lot of time and money into it though because this is the ONLY game I have any issues with…but I really wanna play it!

I’m wondering if this will improve as the game is developed, or if it’s just a limitation of the Switch hardware…

If you haven't tried already, here are Nintendo's suggestion on how to fix the 2124-8007 error. The S1 is 8-year old tech, but that can't be all. Okay I’ll check it out - I haven’t ever seen that error code, I just get disconnected from Palia’s servers. I have no issues with other Switch games, and no issues playing other server-based games on my Apple devices…we don’t usually have any connectivity issues at all in my house, it’s literally just Palia. I ordered a USB Ethernet adapter so plug my Switch directly into the router and see if it improves and go from there.

Sometimes I can play for an hour, sometimes 3 minutes, usually somewhere in between. It’s maddening. And it usually disconnects right as I’m in the middle of something important. I’ve given up on the current quest down in the ruins temple by the beach because by the time I get down there and back to where I was in the sky islands, it disconnects 🤦🏻‍♀️

Gotcha. Connection problems are a pain to diagnose and fix. Other things you can try are restarting your Switch and checking Palia for corrupt data.

You can pick it up. It doesn't give you the outline like it normally would but as long as you are not on the edit dot you can hit the "pick up" option and it will pick it up. It's a known glitch if I remember correctly.

Been having this same problem for weeks. Playing on a docked switch that sits right next to my very fast fiber wifi router. Support just said to change the time and date settings on the switch (didn't fix the issue) and has so far not offered any other solution

I just got an adapter to plug the docked switch into the router…but then realized if it’s docked, I’ll need a screen to see it on 🤦🏻‍♀️ so I guess I can use an HDMI to put it on my laptop? All of our TVs are mounted, and I am pretty much just doing this to troubleshoot - it won’t be a permanent solution. I don’t want to pay a ton to get AT&T back out here to route it directly into my office…stepdad joked we could just get a really long Ethernet cord and run run it from their side of the house to mine…they’re like “uhh you really want to play THIS game, huh?!”

Before you start doing major remodeling (lol) I just read in some other reddit threads that creating a guest network through the AT&T app and connecting the switch to that ("forgetting" the old network) fixes the disconnect issue entirely. Try that maybe?

Do you have AT&T fiber? I've been able to fix this issue by setting up a Guest wifi network in the AT&T app and then connecting my Switch only to that. So far that has completely fixed the server/network connectivity errors!!

it’s always been rng, there never was a pity system. you have to be within a certain distance of whoever hit the bug/animal in your party to get a plush (i think it’s 35m)

@whole palm Go into your inventory from the + promt, toggle to the page that shows your pins and equipped lures, buffs, etc. There should be a label for "pet" that will let you equip your pet by taking you to a screen that shows what pets you have to choose from. I have more of those errors when I’ve been on a really long playing session. When anything bugs out I quit the game and relaunch…… there are a lot of small accumulative errors.

For me I most notice when music cuts out entirely or sound effects go wonky. But the error I get most often is that if you’re party lead and someone in the party friends you, the PS5 throws up its hands and gives up.

Here are instructions for AT&T internet. I sent these to the S6 support team so hopefully they'll share:

1. In the AT&T app, create a Guest Network (Wi-Fi / My WiFi > Create Guest Wi-Fi > follow instructions to set name and password)

2. On the Nintendo Switch, connect to the new guest network (Home > System Settings > Internet > Internet Settings > Select the guest network > enter password)

3. Remove the main wireless network from the Nintendo Switch (Home > System Settings > Internet > Internet Settings > select the network > Delete Settings > Delete

Most of the achievements do automatically register, like the collection ones, the first time you catch/fish/hunt/gather/craft the resource. Unless it's a quest with an specific action or that you have to turn in the items (like the bundles)
Otherwise you can do with them what you want afterwards

Palia on ps5 isn’t mouse and keyboard supported yet, trust me I’ve tried so many things and dug into the depths of Reddit. I can use my keyboard for in game chat, and like, move around or jump but you can’t bind the keyboard like you could on PC, and a mouse doesn’t work period ☹️

I literally just picked one up from the secondhand store cause I didn’t need anything fancy pancy and it works wonderfully. 10/10 the best thing I ever did, I feel much more included in game chat without missing half the conversation while trying to type with my controller.

I’m not sure what console you use but ps5 and I think Xbox too, also do have keyboard attachments for controllers, I had one for my ps4 but I’m much faster on a regular keyboard and it’s a nice size that sets perfectly on my lap too.

A long time ago I made some steps with the wood plank, using the gourmet cup,yesterday I went to add a couple more on of the wood planks on it. it wouldn’t accept it. you can try logging out and waiting a couple of minutes before logging back in. there is a visual bug we are aware of where your client won't update, but it is still registering your progress

I’ve played on both PS5 and PC (technically on my Mac with a special launcher), but the official features are all the same. It only impacts how you get to things in menus, and console has stuff like haptic feedback on the controller that PC obviously doesn’t have. On PC it’s easier to place furniture and glitch decor, but I find it easier to do literally everything else on console

I believe the latest models all support the game. Switch 1 and Switch 2 operate very similarly other than operating system is superior on switch 2 (less crashing). You’ll need to be able to access the game from each’s game stores in order to check for compatibility and access to the internet is required (cant be played offline)

Not quite. You can visit the Elderwood anytime. If you want to harvest materials, catch bugs, hunt, it will be easier if you have Fine tools. To do Main Story quests in the EW you will need to finish the main questline in Kilima/Bahari.

At this point I wish with all my heart that Palia would simply allow us the freedom to place items the way we want to. Just turn off collision and invalid placement. Maybe let us rotate items freely and float as well. It’s so frustrating seeing what pc players can accomplish. I have the ideas but getting them to work is hard if not impossible on console. I want the decorating capabilities of ESO in Palia 😂

Hello, me and my wife both play on 2 consoles in the house. My upload speed is 800 and my download speed is 1201, Every 30 seconds or so my character stutters (slight lag/delay) I have been playing this for 2 weeks and its constant. Though on my wife's account she does not experience this one bit, she does not stutter or lag. I have tried my account on her xbox series x and this problem still occurs, where as she plays on my Xbox series x she does not face the same issue as I do. Fixes i have tried: Uninstalled and reinstalling the game onto my console, clearing cache and cookies. Hard resetting my console. Though im reluctant to try and unlink my account from Palia services and trying to relink my account via your servers. Without an understanding from your end. Or maybe even character deletion and obtaining said character back? What are you thoughts? Thanks

you press the start/select button on the right of the big middle button to open up all the menus, press on inventory and then it’s either r1 or l1 (not 100% sure from memory) to cycle through the menus until you come to the one with stats on

Why? I Play on Switch2 and PC and for me, it's OK.
When I want to enjoy the detailed graphics, I use the PC. When hunting I prefer the Switch2.

Switch 2 runs the game okay but the graphics are brutal

And for me maybe its the framerate im not sure but for example hunting is harder on the switch compared to my main platform ps5

I have this issue quite consistently on Xbox and it has nothing to do with the currency tab. Restarting the game is the only fix for me atm. Hopefully to see this occur less on this patch, but I don't see much in the patchnotes for this generic issue.
