you don't need to wait for others before mining. you don't even need to announce it when you see one, tbh - it's polite but it's not mandatory.

the node will stay for 3 mins after it was mined for the first time and should start flashing when it's close to despawning, though it will stay a little longer if someone mines it while it's flashing.

It gives a seed daily. It can be a regular seed or flow. Once you get flow seed you can plant it and get a seed from a fully matured tree. Also you have to finish ||gardener's new oneness quest to be able to get flow seeds||

There's only one proundhorn sernuk at the time. They spawn only in north bahari. if you don't see them while you run around you can use the hunters horn to locate them,along the muujin but you can ignore them

it stops running after a little while, just keep chasing it and if possible use dispel or slowdown arrows to stop it running as far. the hunter's horn will point you to exactly where it is so even if you lose sight of it you'll be able to find it again

I was watching the elderwood gameplay and as Chris (I think that was his name...) was hunting he shot a couple of huntables and only needed one shot for it to give loot, I've been playing on switch and I have to use 2-4 arrows to get loot. I've also watched streamers and they haven't needed as many arrows as me, am I doing something wrong? This has just been the way I've hunted since I started in January last year.

which arrows are you using? they do different amounts of damage. fine arrows (iron) and dispel arrows have the most damage.

plus each type of huntable has a different amount of hp, there are some that can't be killed in one shot with any arrow

@mint rover normally use slow/fine/dispel. so for the regular chappa and sernuk I can use 1 arrow, but for the muujin I have to use at least 2. For the striped chap it's 2-3 for the elder sernuk/banded muujin it's 3-4 and magic hunts it's 3-4 for chappa and 6-7 for sernuk/muujin

What is the best hook to buy to maximize my chances of landing hard to catch fish? I'm trying to get all the fish for bundles and also catch every fish (starred and not) for the achievements.

And does anyone have any recommendations on the best way to find the bubbling spots for rivers? The Bahari one is the worst. I keep running up and down it and it only spawns maybe one spot every other time I run back and forth. Basically all I need are the starred versions.

that sounds pretty much normal. though you should be able to kill the basic muujin with one fine arrow. two if you're using slowdowns, they have a little less damage than iron/dispel arrows

there is an item called the tuning fork which will point to bubble spots, though imo it's not that useful. you are probably better off running down the river then switching servers. don't forget the water inside flooded fortress also counts as bahari river and several bubble spots can spawn there

the best hook is kind of a matter of opinion tbh... i would say major safe zone size booster or major rod recovery booster. but if you're decently good at fishing they're not necessary for most fish. the hard part is getting the fish to appear in the first place, and there isn't anything you can do about that but keep trying.

And don’t forget fisherman’s brew is always a great buff asset as it’s fairly easily to get the materials along Kilima coast and crafting on the fire/barbecues grants you 5 at a time

there are 3 trouts and all 3 uncommon, by the bait and time availability rainbow is the easiest, but i got more cuttroat trouts, much faster than the rainbow, so you can try maybe that, they are found in bahari rivers at all times but using worm

After lvl 25 in farming you only get star fruits but if you make jams out of them then the machines only do 30/30/1 cause they programmed it like the seed making machine that still has a chance to give non star seed from star fruits and that is dumb when you can only get star fruits after lvl 25. The tiny things are the one that frustat us me the most.

I believe Hasian is supposed to say something to me that allows me to plant 3 tree seeds in the ground on a plateau near a shrine in area D7 of Bahari bay, but he never said it, I think. Now my tree seeds are all mixed together. I do not know which ones are from the trees I grew on my lot, which I received from NPCs and the store, and which ones I found in the wild. Crops grow no matter where you are, even in kilima or bahari or another plot, once it gets to 6am it will grow for one cycle

Has anyone else noticed that if you water trees on one home plot, then go to work on another home plot, and if you are still on that other plot when the morning cycle starts and the trees grow, they pop over into the home plot you are on from their original location? I have had this happen to me three times now, and it's really messing with me. Second, has anyone got any idea how to fix this and get said trees back to their original home plot? Some of the placements were particularly annoying to lay down in the first place and had to be grown into place to begin with... I'd rather not have to redo my front yard a 4th time...

It’s RGN (random) but keep chopping, as they do come down. Acorns, pinecones, juniper, sakuras

Each square will consume 1 fertilizer per growth cycle. In order to achieve full benefit of fertilizer, it needs to be consumed every day. Stacking fertilizers basically means longer days of not needing to add them again until they are used up.

detailed info - Each farming square can have one type fertilizer applied at a time, but you can stack up to 99 fertilizers of the same type on a single square. Each square will consume 1 fertilizer per growth cycle (so if a plant takes up 4 squares, it needs 4 fertilizers). In order to achieve full benefit of fertilizer, it needs to be consumed every day. E.g. fertilizing a potato (5 day crop) only 4 times with harvest boost fertilizer will give 4/5 chance of getting bonus yield. The fertilizer needs to be applied before 6 AM (this is the growth time each day).

If you try to apply fertilizer to a square that is already fertilized with a a different type of fertilizer, any of the original fertilizer that is on the ground will be returned to your inventory, and one of the new fertilizer will be applied to the square instead.

Ancient Amber Beetles can be found in the forests of Bahari Bay, specifically in the northern areas like the Flooded Steps, The Outskirts, Proudhorn Pass, the Thorny Thicket, and the Statue Garden. They also have a 5% chance to spawn when chopping medium or large Sapwood trees anywhere in Bahari Bay.
best to just go around and chop as many med/lrg juniper/sapwood trees as possible and the beetle will spawn faster than trying to track one down in the open fields. Using lures also is great for the ancient beetle, used in particular spawn areas will bring a few of these out.

No, all tools above Makeshift are subject to downgrading. If you have Repair Kits, you can use the Repair Station at your plot, Sifuu’s Blacksmith shop, Bahari Central Stables, or Kilima Fairgrounds. Sifuu will also repair your tools for coin.

After the ore is first mined by whoever mines it first, there's a timer running (someone else might know the specifics, at least 3 minutes is the best I can say, maybe longer?) for how long it takes to disappear, so it's still there for a while. Announce in chat where it is and/or flare it if you want, mine it, and then go about your business. That's what I do.

How does foraging as a party work? Like does it increase your chances of finding a rare item like when opening oysters or what?

having a Party Buff active allows Palians to increase their chances of doubling loot from Bug Catching, Fishing, Foraging, Hunting, and Mining activities. While they can claim the various loot drops such as meats, fur, flower seeds, Starstones, and other valuable resources, they can also earn XP, which adds towards the progression of a related Accomplishment, Party People.

Party up in general have a chance to double the loot you picked up as long as you're in the range of the buff and loot from hunting, bug catching is the same for party members. Doesn't affect the drop rates of in game drops.

She just asks me if there's anything I need to tell her, but I've already told her about 4 of the 8 tablets (I found them all, took screenshots of each and counted just to double check, and also re-found all of them and read them just in case her dialogue changed vis a vis the game forgot I read one)

once you plant an acorn seed or any seed for that matter, you keep watering them until they grow to maturity and they will give you another seed to re-plant again. Trees or flowers can be moved and just will be decor like on your plot

if you chop trees on your plot that you have fully grown from the seeds you have planted, you will get wood in return .. just the same as other trees.

Does anyone have advice on increasing your cooking level? I want to get to level 10 to cook the meals for the bundles and ashura’s last friend quest but I’m having a hard time getting my level to go up. I found a Reddit thread that said that it doesn’t matter what you cook so just grill lots of fish and make a ton of macrons but the thread was from over a year ago and idk if that advice still holds up.

the most efficient way is doing cooking parties with other players because you share the ingredient burden.

xp is mostly based on the number of steps in a recipe https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Experience#Cooking so it's basically proportional to time invested. if solo then it's probably easiest to make multiple campfires and just grill stuff on them.

If you are on PC, right click on the seed to destroy it. As you might guess, you will not recover the seed. You can’t move a seed once planted.

so i have one of those yardwork terraces, and there's a couple of the winterlights snow piles on the terrace, but i cannot pick up or select the snow piles at all, it doesn't even highlight as an object to pick up/move. the terrace can be moved though. it seems like a bug

Some items have very odd hitbox and camera angles to highlight them, you will find the same problem with some flower bushes if placed on the builder floor or difficult to reach areas so looking directly at objects sometimes won't work, simply pan camera side way or look up a bit while standing in place you will find a sweet spot to highlight the snow piles.

okay, i did definitely think that was it and i did try that but i'll try some more. the flowers that were on the terrace were a bit funky to get the hitbox which gave me the idea it was the same for the snow. i will try harder XD thank you, mortis
