Correct. There are wonderful techniques that players have figured out how to add content in unexpected ways. But the base grand harvest house can not have rooms added in the normal manner. You mean mining nodes ? They do have a despawn. If you see a pulsing glow around a mining node that means someone has harvested there already and the node is about to despawn.

That also is intended. Resources have a shelf life. Once they spawn they're only there for a limited time, then despawn. It's ... annoying, but not a bug
