I really enjoy the game to unwind and relax, and i don't see too many of the bugs (It's not bad enough to put me off) but it's not a game i'd play for 10 hours a day, 7 days a week.
I usually play more active/exciting games during the day, and then swap to Palia in the evening to relax and just have a calm, good time.

I sincerely believe it's worth it, and I can very much compare it to the feeling Animal Crossing gives me 🙂

Palia's pros: The world lore and story is fun, the characters are interesting to get to know, temples are fun to explore, and the decorating and creative part of the game is really great, with even more great additions to decorating outlined in the recent blog post (the building block system, two story buildings, and pathways).

Palia's cons: The open world is a bit barren and could use a LOT more attention and quality control is a serious problem since Dec and hasn't gotten better despite moving to a 1 update per month cadence. Also a lack of multiplayer activities.

i like it for what it is (it’s in beta so most things have issues) the reviews you see on steam are mostly long time players, yes some things are buggy (anything banning wise you see of players are mostly from this discord but you could ask a mod for more info as it’s touchy) i’m enjoying all the puzzles, the characters and exploring, it’s a lot of solo stuff mostly which i find kinda lack in the mmo department, but you can do most skills with other players and everyone that is involved in the activity gets a reward, but i know some players have issues with certain tasks due to irl issues so it’s not a one size fit all game, and some players want combat but i don’t see that happening for a while if they ever decide to do that

honestly i started this game last week and i’ve been loving it. sometimes it can get boring for me cause i’ll finish quests and then it’s like a waiting game for new quests as i romance/build friendship but otherwise it’s fun building the various skills and decorating my home

Palia is a quasi mmo cozy game still in development. Currently in open beta. Even though there are some glitches and bugs in the game ( #📢│palia-status and #📢│palia-news will have full info) Known bugs are listed by the dev team. There are cosmetics you can buy with real money that do nothing but make your character look cute. 8 skills to level either solo or by partying up with other players. A wide range of NPC story lines to follow as well as romanceable ones and a special 'Shepp' for relationships. A large part of the game for many is the player housing plots. S6 could have left the npcs to be 2 -3 line dialog but instead they have made unique histories for each to immerse the players into Palian lore. There is no combat outside of hunting the few current creatures in Palia. If that's your cup of tea ... Welcome Home ;)

for it being in beta, i really haven’t had many issues with it that i wouldn’t have in other games that are already launched… the bugs aren’t awful for me but i have seen some people have more issues than others. it’s really up to your discretion to decide if it’s worth it or not, i’d say start it and see where it takes you

Shared this earlier and wanted to share again since chats a lil slower and it actually helped someone lolol If anyone plays with their controller on PC and has issues gardening (when you go to examine your crops it won't let you) you may have to rebind your key on the controller. So for me it's "Y" and I just switched "tertiary action" from "Y" to "X" and then back to "Y" again and it started working for me! Not sure if this is a known bug but in case anyone encounters it I wanted to share!!

Flipping (at least on my end) is bugged. So what I do is left click to get the ball moving, then left click and hold it until the ball gets to the thing, release, and it'll succeed.

Ugggg read steam reviews - the familiarity is painful. Used to play a game i loved from open beta they went on steam and then the devs started pandering to the super super super toxic steam community and all went to hell. When S6 says "MMO" I think what they really mean is "persistent world with things you can do together as a community."

I got several, but a good one to get is the bundle where you get 3 different outfits and a glider for a discounted price. You can mix and match all those pieces to make TONS of different outfits and you get a new glider as well.

There's two kinds of complainers though, there are those who are impatient, but there are also those who are just afraid the game won'd do well and it'll close down. Wayfinder is a recent example of a "lite MMO" that came out about the same time as Palia and had a really bad launch and is in danger of failing and closing down.

Look. GW2 has it's PROBLEMS. Aha. (I say as someone who has spent dollars on that game. I think the struggle though is that GW2 and almost all MMOs have a really solid combat angle. This is very true! But I find most of those aren't particularly for groups of people or playing against or with each other much. More of a 'do once to get your achieves' type thing. The most similar is probably when they feature in the festivals, which Palia has had a couple now at least. I would love to see some form of instanced content or map meta type thing. Those would make if feel way more MMO-ey. But these two genres are not an easy thing to balance since they basically contradict each other.

It's billed as being in beta but is still very playable and with new content being released regularly. That said there are bugs. Lots of bugs. They do get addressed and fixed frequently but I would put the amount of bugs a bit above average for an online game like this. I'd say it's free to play (the only thing you buy with real money is fancy outfits) so worth trying to see if you like.

Apparently only way is deleting your account or creating a new account. If you are on steam and already linked an account you are boudn to that account forever

there are usually pattern differences as well as other variations to each outfit in a set - and each outfit in a set has 3 color variants you get

no - you get all 3 colors to the outfit, which you can buy ala carte - but you pay no more for the color variations, only for the entire "bundle" which will include all 3 outfits - but you cant buy just one outfit with one color variant for less money
