Okay so I think I've encountered a bug with crows

I have like 6 crows now, two per farm (I have three farms)

But when I was setting some crows up for my new farm, a bunch of random crows came along and started attacking me, then attacking my other crows

It devolved into a moshpit pokemon battle of crows flinging eachother around
My crows won somehow

But regardless, it freaked me the shit out since it basically came out of nowhere

Is this like... normal behavior?
Punishment for having too many crows?

As far as I've seen in the default options, it will simply spawn once every 5-10 minutes, at any light level, and it will try to spawn no closer than 16 blocks away, and it will try to spawn with a valid path to the player. Not sure what does or doesn't make it aggro, or if it simply spawns aggro'd.

Which is to say that if you're in a cave, and you're not armored, once in a while you just die randomly when it spawns on you out of nowhere. Taking the advice and uninstalling the mod. Not fun-scary, just... arbitrary.

There's a fine line between "stay on your toes" and "arbitrary death" and Firework Creepers and the Cave Dweller are both on the far side of that.
This isn't quite RLCraft bad, but it's not for me.

Filling a crafting table with cobblestone makes sturdy blocks that are explosive proof, having spikes around your base deters creepers from activating (they need to be kinda close to just explode) [How high is your base from the ground? and did you ever give the creeper line of sight?]

I think I gave it line of sight without realizing that it was an issue - you can see in the screenshot that there's a hill past my outer wall

My base is on a bridge over water, seperated from land by open trapdoors

So it probably saw me from the top of the hill, rocketed over, and blew me up

Right after a drowned saw me peek out over the water to fish and teleported to me

Alright so I've gotten the industrial fermenter and squeezer and I feel like I'm doing well up until I realize I have to constantly go mining again like.

Crusher requires so much iron; getting biodiesal requires a lot of iron.

Ender pearls are a no-go; I tried getting a villager but there's no villages, the wandering trader sucks, the nether sucks and dungeons are a no-go since I'm spammed with mob-spawns, berserker skeletons and breaking mob spawners deals unblockable damage

I can't advance through chaptor 2 and I'm stuck strip mining
But ore in general had its spawn rate reduced so like, I question why I even bother

70% of this pack's experience thus far is just strip mining and building a base over the ocean since building anywhere on the mainland is basically suicide.

The spookiness factor gets redundant after a while too
Herobrine doesn't feel spooky anymore because of how much I've seen him.
The cave dweller is fucking stupid and makes mining miserable

The fact that we need to go to a mountain in the first place to get iron is already a big turn-off point since that means we'd have to keep restarting and hoping to get a good mountain seed

One that spawns us next to a mountain and an ocean

The fact that the crusher requires 3 stacks of iron would be fine if mining wasn't so miserable due to the constant cave dweller harassment and zerker skeletons being very common, alongside creepers just exploding when they feel like it

But due to low ore spawn rate and the abundance of specialized enemies, I'm unable to do much with my sword and board.

And I can't get biomancy weapons since that requires enderpearls, which require endermen, which spawn in very low quantities.
Villages? If you're lucky, and even then you need a brewing stand, which requires the nether, which is full of constant enemies.

When the timer reaches zero, the scamper explodes, spawning 1-3 mounds in the process. Keep an eye out for these guys.

They infect blocks around them by releasing spores via "puffing". The spores don't do anything outside of infecting blocks and spreading fungal foliage. After some delay (configurable) it will grow into the next stage. It gets bigger, more hp, increased puffing range, blah blah blah. Once it gets stage 3, it can release 'tendrils' that travel outward. If it comes into contact with 'human remains', it will then transform that into another mound!

Infected ore doesn't drop diamonds and you can't cure it. However, I feel like the mobs that are supposed to spawn from it are more consistent the deeper you go (killing them drops diamonds shards to make diamonds).

on bisect hosting i've noticed that even with me on premium, just me and my friend, it'll have a bit of lag. it was mostly in the beginning whic makes sense, its mostly stopped, but if its 10 people all filling out the map then i can see that ending badly

the most optimal thing to do is find a lava pool, make a netherportal with only a water bucket
and then build up 3-4 blocks, and farm the mobs that drop zenyr ingots

just fixed voice chat by changing port settings from just TCP to TCP-UDP, i moved my pc setup irl and it broke voice chat for me
