A Legends channel would be alright if the interest is there. I haven't hardly put that game down since I started playing.
Shelter, and I put some change into that one as well, is cool but even just a re-skinned Blades except a Fallout title would be amazing. Make it a premium game. I'd rather pay for it than have to do all the grinding or spend a fortune to get somewhere lol

I want to buy some flux, a lot actually, but almost all player vendor dont carry them. I always buy them immediately if they were on player vendor. I would be very lucky if there is a player vendor selling them, when I play for 3-4 hours.
Its so hard to get flux in this game, and nuke attacks are so rare now, dunno why.

In content last post was — 01/26/2022 and I scrolled to the top and only saw ES stuff with a few very old notes on 76.
In modding all I see is 3rd party mods being created for the game
I don't see a single item in any of those mentioning what player suggestions or reported bugs from this discord are being considered or looked into.
My suggestion is regarding those 2 items in particular, be nice to know what bugs in game are being prioritized and what player suggestions are they thinking of looking into implementing for 76

maybe some voice chats for the 76 crowd, we have lfg but would rely on out of server communication methods to simply talk in-game, even with 2 monitor setups it's simply annoying to only talk in text and I think a lot of people would agree with the notion that "you can play a game with anyone, but not just anyone should consider themselves any closer to you than a guy you can play a game with"
relying on other server, dm groups and calls is not something everyone is comfortable with and while I understand (as I used to be a part of it) there are dedicated fallout 76 discord servers out there it is kind of limiting to see the official bethesda server not having a voice chat despite having lfg for the same game

[Suggestion] Add a channel for FO76 similar to suggestions where players can let devs know when they really appreciate a particular change that has a positive impact on the game. There were a lot of really good changes with the download today and some should get some feedback.

I would think that only getting suggestions that are dream lists or complaint based is like only getting half the story. Wouldn't it be better for the team to also know when a change or trend in changes is really pumping up the community? That would allow a more balanced approach to planning future changes.

Not at all. As an example, in our old forums we had a Skyrim General Discussion forum. Inside this General Discussion forum users could create threads on different topics. This was a wonderful way to organize discussions. If a user was't interested in certain topics they could avoid those threads and read only the threads they were interested in. At present all of our Skyrim general discussion topics are thrown together into a single massive skyrim-chat. It's a disorganized mess.

Conversations within the simulation work through the eight points of the Dialogue Star: People, Lore, Directions and Work, Friendship, Romance, Trade as well as Grouping. All of the aforementioned continue into lists of topics that have descriptions and can lead towards further lists of topics. The descriptions of topics are essentially dialogue lines that are randomed with each conversation. These will be one or two sentence long for a quick exchange of words, the statistic of Sense and the skills that it governs will of course allow for different options instead of the generic, quite similarly to Intellect or Stress. Characters and items, locations present in the setting, trade and thievery, romance branches such as flirting or dedication, friendship branches and so on are the topics present in the lists at the points of the DS. Chosen topics affect the availability of future topics as does the Relationship System. Group conversations can happen as well. Up to five characters can talk simultaneously with the characters speaking in turns.

Here's what someone said helped them;

It's a bit broken - log off on the website, login again and click on Join the constellation. An authorization check with Constellation bot should appear - if not, try joining multiple times (even when you're on the server, you don't have to leave of course). It worked for me after a while

i think messages to #constellation-questions that are not questions should be removed entirely and a heavy slow mode applied to keep things WAY neater.

questions with extremely obvious (and easy to find on google/wikipedia/faq/official website) answers like whether Starfield is an MMORPG or not, well i think those should be removed too but at the very least, posts should be questions.

That was intentional and a bit of a challenge. Half-truths aren't really helpful to anyone. A lot posts have been deleted over there that were actually constructive for both the game and Bethesda's future.

I've got a great idea, something you probably never realized you needed until now. Todd's Socks. A show in which Todd Howard uses crudely made sock puppets to act out Elder Scrolls Lore/History. Everybody I've mentioned this idea to so far has absolutely loved it.

Feels like as soon as conversations move from game talk, you're told go move to #off-topic (which on paper is more than reasonable) but with the scale of this place that's just not feasible. So your left with a bad taste in your mouth, a dead channel, and nowhere to have your conversation.

Is it possible to have the purple pts role colour given a lower priority than the various platform role colours? I understand that in theory all the pts members should be pc players anyway, but many people on console, like myself, like to access the pts channels to keep abreast of what’s going on with the game.
As much as I like being purple, with so many of the regular contributors being purple regardless of platform it seems to defeat the purpose of the platform role colours, which I feel is a clever idea and should be utilised. Thanks.

[Suggestion] Create channels specifically for community member discussions and refinement of suggestions for various games where we can speak among ourselves about our ideas, especially the more complex, before presenting them on the "official" suggestion channels. Chat channels (everywhere) are full of small talk about everything under the sun, aka chatter. Ergo, the name. 😄 An awful lot of noise; very little to no signal. I think it would help the actual developers immensely to determine what, within reason, the community as a whole is actually concerned with seeing implemented or refined or what have you as opposed to the official suggestion channels being filled largely with individual wish lists for, say, pink power armor with doughnut sprinkles on top. That kind of thing.

Could we please have a “Feedback” channel, similar to the suggestion or bug report channels, but for constructive feedback rather than suggestions or bugs. PC players get the opportunity to do this in the PTS channels, but those of us on console are out of luck.
Not all feedback can be retrofitted into either a suggestion or a bug report, and the Beth.net website is a completely nonsensical-seeming labyrinth for someone like myself who doesn’t use computers, so that isn’t an option.
Times past, I could’ve started a thread on the forums, but those were taken away and replaced with a chat room on a third party platform. I feel like there is no way to provide feedback to Beth, unless you play on computer and participate in the pts.

Would it be possible to pin the community calendar in the 76 chat channel, so when idiots like me try to answer people that ask when the purveyor sale is, we can just point them to that/pull the info to give them the right answer? [Suggestion] Change the suggestions and bug reporting channels to use the forum feature in Discord. There are many ways this could benefit the server; promoting more discussion around suggestions, allowing users to collaborate or troubleshoot to find good workarounds for bugs without cluttering the main channel/ideas.

Changing this may also help moderators communicate to users if their posts do not have enough information without interrupting the conversations or burying other bug reports. Additionally, this could help developers (or whoever sorts through the channels) as it allows features like post tags, and +1 voting with reactions.

System specific emotes for PC/PlayStation/Xbox, perhaps even to seperate Steam and Windows store copies of the a game! This will be helpful to react to bug report posts to confirm a bug is also occurring on a different copy of the game, since the bug report format asks which version of the game we run.

Wolfenstein: new blood, was trying to set up a key combo for L4 on the steamdeck controller that presses CTL+ALT+~ to pull up the console for console commands.

When I added these key commands as sub commands in the controller setup, the console flashed at the top but never fully came down, and then all my controls stop working and I have to reset the game to get controls back, I thought maybe pulling up console was just borking the game on steamdeck for a sec but when I just tried CTL+ALT+~ on an actual keyboard through my steamdeck dock it pulls up the console just fine, and the other controls stay intact, so I'm sure it's something I did wrong with the commands I chose and sub commands etc.

` Key should be pressed after Ctrl and Alt. Instead of having it as a sub command, add that key as an extra command with a fire start delay.

Hello Bethesda, i have a suggestion for TESVI, Fallout 5, and starfield if not to late. My suggestion is that the playable character should be able to get severe injuries where you can lose a limb like a leg or an arm and get a replacement with a metal or bionic limb or etc.

Change the name of #fallout-76-chat to 76-game-discussion (or something similar) and create a new community hangout where players can just kid around, engaging in friendly banter about 76 or any- and everything else under the sun.

This would free mods from constantly having to get the discussion back around to discussion about 76 and provide players with an opportunity to bounce their ideas for content off their fellow players and refine them before presenting them on #76-suggestions(edit: unless Harnacke's suggestion is implemented) without their being lost in memes. This would also make it much easier for mods and players to follow dialogue among players on topics e.g. ideas about how to improve the experience for everyone; what might be reasonably modified or added; what might be going on with the game itself at any given time; etc.

Hi, sorry to bother. I wasn’t sure where to put this so hopefully it fits here. Trade talk isn’t permitted in the 76 channels. However, it’s come up a few times that the definition of “trade” is in dispute. This in turn leads to disagreements between members about what discussion is and is not about trade. I guess what I’m trying to get to is, I think something needs to be added to #rules, similar to what is there for exploits, that spells out what is considered “trade”. The major point of dispute, for reference, is whether or not asking for something/offering something with no expectation of receiving something in return constitutes trade. It seems silly, but trade is a frequent and controversial topic when it comes to 76, so hopefully this is a topic that we can at least get clarification on. Thank you.

I understand your meaning, but that could also apply to innumerable other subjects that get discussed freely, as is the case with almost every one of the rules given for the discord.
I understand why they have been written as a “catch-all” situation, so are purposely vague, but without specifics we’re constantly being reprimanded for talking about things, when, compared to the subjects that are allowed to be discussed, there is no logical reason for them to be taboo.
If we follow the letter of the rules, then even things like pointing out to other members that trade isn’t allowed, or that legacies can’t be discussed(more unwritten rules…) is against the rules, because it’s implying that they’ve broken the rules, and it’s against the rules to accuse other members of breaking the rules.
It’s the most confusing circumstances I’ve ever seen, and can be very disheartening to try and participate.
Please set out clear rules, with what cannot be talked about clearly listed, so we’re not having to decipher what things “technically count as”, rules-wise.

Clear communication and a defined, concise set of community rules is not too much to ask. Please.

I want to have it stated that the way the moderators are dealing with the current issues is very unprofessional and unfriendly. Telling people who can’t move because of a new bug in game with their weight reduction armor to “not carry so many weapons” or to “stash your stuff” when peoples stash is full or they’ve been playing this game for literally years and have a collection on them, capable of doing it yesterday morning and not capable today, because of an unintentional bug, is not ok. It completely disregards the problem people are having, as well as their feelings. These are your customers and supporters. When I brought up the unfriendliness and unprofessionalism here my posts were deleted. This is unacceptable moderation and I hope Bethesda sees this

We completely understand the frustration regarding the issues that popped up since the update yesterday and everyone on the immediate team, including CS and the moderators, are hard at work relaying all the information you're all dutifully and helpfully reporting about it. Unfortunately, we don't have any more information to share at the moment on the hotfix, but it is on the way! I can assure you that the moderators wouldn't have meant those remarks in a snarky or insincere way, at least not intentionally - I'm afraid right now if you're affected by the issue(s) that's really the only thing we can suggest until the fix arrives 😦 I know that could come across condescending, but there's really nothing else we can say to people until we have more information to share, and if we said nothing we'd have similar complaints about not helping or communicating. I'm a veteran player myself from before I even started working here, and while I'm personally not affected by these issues, I can completely understand why as a long-time player you'd be more frustrated than others. I hope that helped cleared the intent up?

On a side note, as a rule of thumb, it's true that we don't allow the discussion of disciplinary actions in the channels. This isn't isolated to Fallout 76, or this server at all, but across all of our servers. It's to prevent the flooding of channels with potential off-topic back-and-forth - for lack of better term, "airing laundry", when others might just want to crack on with discussing the game. ModMail is the best way to get a full breakdown response, and even me doing this is out of the ordinary, but I can see a number of people that share the same concerns as you, so I wanted to make an exception this once. It's not a matter of trying to stifle negativity (providing it's not hostile or snarky, and therefore rule breaking) or constructive criticism (I assure you, my job would be very boring if not for constructive criticism), but we all have to try to promote a civil and pleasant atmosphere that abides by the agreed-upon rules. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or points to raise!

Adding another voice to this. The unprofessional manner in which the customer service employees in this discord conduct themselves is sometimes shocking. These are not volunteers, these are customer service agents in their red name uniforms, and need to present as such.
After quite some time in this server, I’m still unable to figure out what the actual rules are, as the way they’re enforced has no rhyme nor reason, and seems entirely dependent on mood.
We are continuously pointed at the #rules , yet more often than not there is no clue in there as to what we’ve actually done wrong, as it has been enforced purely at an esoteric interpretation of the individual employee, who then won’t tell us, and just points back at a list of rules that don’t tell us what we’ve done wrong. Admonishments are often public, and done in a manner as though talking to children. This is unacceptable. It matters not how non-employees are behaving, customer service agents should NEVER speak to customers like that. It’s absolutely terrible. I spend a lot of my professional life designing policies and procedures, and in HR meetings, and customer service agents speaking to their customers in the manner in which I’ve seen red names do here would be getting sent for compulsory retraining, without delay.
There have been multiple occasions where my own genuine concerns have been met with snide remarks in public channels, and countless occasions where I have seen others treated in the same manner. Customers are often made to feel “less-than” simply for deigning to ask questions.

It’s made me not want to participate in the community.
I can only hope that Beth works towards maintaining an appearance of Professionalism in it’s staff.

Edit: To be clear, the voluntary moderation staff(yellow names) are exemplary. Absolute legends for giving their time to help corral this unruly bunch.
My point refers to the different expectations one has of paid employees while wearing their company uniform, in this case a red name, while in their place of business, being this server.

I disagree with having different modding channels for various consoles. That's discrimination. Wholly and truly.

We're all modders and we're all gamers. I mod for consoles and do not want there to be a toxic environment. Modding for console is no different than modding for PC other than script extender and BC7 textures (4k textures for OG/S) since Xbox doesn't support them. PS4 cannot have external files.

#starfield-voice-chat: I think a Voice Chat channel would be a nice fit for this channel to allow other players communicate via voice chat. Perhaps for the idea of roleplaying, helping each other out, etc. Just a thought

#starfield-technical-chat: I believe that a channel dedicated to the technical side of Starfield should be created to allow players to communicate about the technical nature of this game. This can be for PC Specs, recommending so and so PC Parts for the game, etc.

Can we please consider opening up a new channel or thread and redirect "sandwich chat" to it? I feel like it's become a legitimate obstacle to participating in conversations that are relevant to the recent discussions about Starfield. While I understand its origins and the fact that it began as a lighthearted meme, I feel like it has taken dominance over most other chat topics in the Starfield related channels. One example I could think of that may work would be to create a sandwich role in the #server-roles channel, which would allow users who wish to speculate about the existence of a sandwich cult freely, while keeping the Starfield channels free of sandwich clutter, and more open to diverse and engaging conversation.

Since mod mail is not working for me, to make it private - so I have a suggestion. On review page of SF I have noticed there's a plenty of attacking people, who review game different from others, can we get those comments removed/put halt on which focus on attacking someone for different take. Some think its great RPG, some think its less great RPG. People should be not shot down/personal attacked for a different take when the take is within the #rules of Discord and server. So some think its 1/10 some think its 10/10, it is not a debate club of whose opinion is right or wrong.

please make the starfield channel, and any channels related to 18+/mature rated games, NSFW flagged in the channel settings. This will allow you to relax some of the silly no-swearing rules that are there out of fear of kids seeing the channels as discord is a 13+ service.

if you turn on this flag, discord can and do age gate those parts of your server and are supposed to verify that those seeing that content are old enough. Basically, if anything happens and you got that flag on, its not your fault its discords and you arent liable.

You may want to check with discord though about how this falls with verified servers like yours. I am aware the rules for verified servers are different.

~~Also please consider reviewing the weird permissions you have set on the forum channels. The posts in them are confusing to newbies. As a pretty advanced discord user it confused me (on desktop) so i cant imagine how a complete non technical user would navigate it.

I've got about 60 hours of time in the game now. Only aspect I've hit that slows things down/gets annoying is using resources at the settlement. There is no central repository to feed from, so I had to create a lot of Storage Crates to load up. Then when I want to build or use workstations, I have to empty all the crates out as a massive pack mule. When finished, I then go back and re-fill them individually. I'd like to suggestion some form of common storage at a base/settlement. It would make resource management and usage much cleaner.

For ships I'd like to have an option to switch ladders out for elevators. Also the ability to choose the condition of the exterior, from brand new looking, to wear and tear. I'm sure I'll come up with more, also fighter cockpits and parts, I'd love to build small nimble fighters.

Starfield Suggestion to split the stellar ships chat into two sections. One for modded ships and one for un-modded ships as it gets a little too crazy in there most of the time and un-modded ships doesn't seem to get much attention. Not all of us enjoy modded ships.

It probably would be a lot of work but I kind of wish on the #1146512307753590956 (and probably any other bug channel) they’d have someone who could start THREADS on each bug so there’s not a million repeats and people could find the bug based on the mission more easily and Bethesda could easily see how many are experiencing each bug and maybe would help them prioritize better as well??

EDIT: I just realized that whole channel does have threads. Haha. So I guess that wouldn’t really work since there can’t be threads within threads…. Oh well.

I'll rephrase myself a bit since there seem to be some confusion as to my original suggestion: Since the #1146468823822774322 Category and everything else, is set up like a forum, i suggest making two threads for ship photos. One for modded and one for un-modded ship photos, since not everyone uses mods and modded ships in the current #1146507835090419862 topic kind of shoves all un-modded ships off into narnia. That'd be fair to those who doesn't use modded ships wanting to show off their ships and also for those who only want to show off their modded ships. Hope that made it a bit less confusing.

hello, I killed an NPC to get his clothes and I don't want to have to kill him in a new game + just for his clothes I prefer to make him an ally sooner than an enemy for my future games, but we can't we take the unique clothes in news game plus? And I chased after these clothes throughout my game only to end up losing them when I won them... so would it be possible to save the outfits or have a merchant who offers us the unique outfits that we have unlocked if not? I don't see how to have these clothes without killing this character...

Discord feature request. Chat volley's of more than 2, or set by moderator, get aggregated into their own thread and collapsed to [+] I think you can do this with just CSS. MrPebbles Add to this, the ability to migrate a chat thread from one chat room to another, perhaps by moderator, if that channel was not intended for dialogue.

  • Dividing a couple of the notifications & mobile games(if those may have any related announcements here) being on their own notifications. Fallout having 76 specific and then a separate "Fallout" for other Fallout games besides 76/Shelter. The Elder Scrolls having ESO specific(if any related announcements for that may occur here) and then a separate TES for other TES besides ESO/Blades/Castles.
  • Alternatively could add (@)Mobile News & (@)Multiplayer News, with the existing options then being singleplayer centeric.

My use case: zero interest in 76 or ESO or the mobile stuff. But super interested in anything & everything Starfield, anything & everything modding, FO4 update + any new singleplayer FO PC games, anything TESVI/remaster or remakes of TESI-V.

If 76/ESO/mobile were separated onto "Online" then I'd be able to choose everything else.

When holding contests such as the current Haunted Shelter one for 76, please consider stating in clear language in the announcement post if some or most countries are excluded.
I had no idea what “NoPurchNec: US & Can 18+” meant, as it’s not a form of expression that’s used here, or that I’ve ever seen before.
I’d done a lot of work for the contest, only to realise today that my country is excluded from it.
I understand the rules were linked from the bottom of the post, but an “Att: Contest Open to US and Canada only” at the top, first line, would make a big difference.
Being excluded hurts a bit anyway; but realising after a week of free time spent on it, because I couldn’t understand the communication, hurts more. Cheers for reading.

Thanks, but no. The camp is being evicted soon by the new Blue Ridge location in the Forest, so the contest was intended to be a tribute to what had been my main camp for years, before it’s forced removal. When I saw I was excluded from entry, I removed the camp early, as there was no point keeping it.

While I understand the legal reasons that only a select part of the player base is included in the event, I don’t think it’s fair or right to hold contests that knowingly exclude so many players. It makes me feel as though we’re not as valued, or even considered proper members of the community. It’s very disheartening.

I apologise to red names for this post if it’s in an incorrect place, but thought it was the best way to reply to VioletLight’s post to myself. Thanks.

Honestly, the flow of Twitter links currently posted, where we see no context, title, or image, makes that channel become useless. Whereas it should normally be the main channel people follow. In fact, at that point, following on TwitterX would be 1000% better. Suggestion: do not use automated links and instead make proper Discord posts/announcements (if any).

Convert #76-suggestions to a multi part forum (similar to #1096164227024179220 and #1067830807105896519 ) with categories such as CAMP System Suggestions, Gameplay and UI Suggestions, Enemy and NPC Suggestions, Expeditions Suggestions, Event and Quest Suggestions, Atomic Shop Suggestions, and Miscellaneous Suggestions. This would definitely organize the Suggestions forum for us players and Moderators and Developers to find, reply, and implement good suggestions.

(Putting this here too bc idk which one is the right place) Add a 76 pts suggestions thread for each pts cycle, as a lot of good ideas that are intended to improve the overall update get dismissed or removed because it doesn’t necessarily remain “on topic” with what is in the pts.

In other words, a place we can freely suggest improvements that are indeed off topic from the recommended feedback threads, it would be nice and I feel really valuable.

Pts general chat kind of allows this but a lot of ideas in there get drowned out by the chatter and a lot of unnecessary back and fourth “bickering” happens in there. So a dedicated thread each cycle for off topic improvements would be welcomed

The point or topic is not TwitterX. For example, if Bethesda Facebook posts automatically added a URL, with no title/context/image, in the Announcements channel here, many times a day, it would make that central channel useless.
Another example: on any Discord server, if you post too many Announcements per day, it ends-up breaking the purpose of that channel that should summarize the main important news, while other channels can flood the users as needed or wanted.
Beyond the number, do we click on a random URL with no title or hint of the content?
The result is that logically we do not want to follow the #social-feed channel and just mute it.

Wait... so Discord ISN'T the official platform to provide suggestions/feedback and issues for Starfield?
Is there an official Forum for the community to provide open discourse on these topics for the community? Because the Bethesda Suggestions/Feedback is a closed venue that community can't contribute.
So what is Discord then? Is it just to placate players to 'think' their comments/suggestions are being read or seen by Bethesda staff?

This is why I miss a standard Forum platform. The more people have eyes on Suggestions the better suggestions be discussed and can evolve into being awesome suggestions.

I'm not trying to be difficult or argumentative. I have always loved Bethesda games and particularly like Starfield too, probably up and beyond Skyrim (which was a favorite).

Even looking at the Discord index(?) of Bethesda's presence The Elder Scrolls have Skyrim-chat, Morrowind-chat etc, but no 'chat' for Starfield?

I hope you see where I'm coming from. I've only just started using Discord for Starfield/Bethesda reasons, and I've been in many forums for other games and new IPs that much could be discussed and thrashed out to make whatever game it was better (Division 1, Division 2, Destiny, Diablo's to name a few).

I dont know where to go to discuss this with others. I absolutely LOVE this game. I do wish the weather on the planets had more effect on the player though. I wish i actually had to dress for the weather otherwise i would get really harsh effects. Also, id love to see the effects like poisoning or broken legs had equally bad effects on the player.

I dont think a 30s slowmode on the channels is productive, I see the value in a slow mode to make it easier to mod servers, but as someone who talks in multiple messages, its very annoying especially mid conversation if multiple people reply to you

forum style posts are great for longer term dicussion, but a free flowing chat channel should be that, free flowing. getting into the habit of editing a post to add to it is far from efficient, and people tend to miss the extra you add after the fact.

Strip away the ability for mods to delete posts in fallout-76-questions. My post had over 30 upvotes and someone deleted it and now it wont get answered because it got deleted. Only the server admin should have the ability to delete posts in that channel.
