you could use fallout character overhaul, but other than that I'm not too familiar with face presets, there probably is some on the nexus but again not familiar with them at all
The female face presets in older fallout games are kinda wacky

Are there any Morrowind animation mods like through MWSE? I found only 1 searching, but I want all kinds of combat ones and I think people are just not making them.
The only one I am aware of is Animation Compilation. I'm guessing that is probably the mod you found in your search too. I remember using a combat animation mod way back in 2003 or 2004 that affected two-handed weapons as well as one-handed, but it was a bit too anime-influenced for my taste. Unfortunately it, like too many other Morrowind mods from that era, is no longer available online it seems. Well guess I never got answer in Skyrim SE mods, so I guess I was told here. How are people making higher poly models and meshes with mods for skyrim le without performance degrading? I thought it was all about draw calls and all that. Is DyndoLOD alleviating this a bit?
There is a process, if I remember correctly, where you can have the normal map in such a way that it makes a low poly model appear to be very high poly. There is a proper term for it and I have even done it myself in the past, but I don't remember it anymore. I believe it is called Normal map baking, where you take a the high poly mesh, make the map for it and then bake the low poly mesh on to it. I probably got the process mixed up a bit.

I would suggest playing several hours (long enough to get to about level 20, at least) before adding any mods. You cannot know what you want to change about a game until you have first played that game. The worst mistake players new to any game make is to dump a bunch of mods into a first playthrough. That rarely ends well. Don't add mods just because they are popular or because someone on a Discord tell you they "are essential." When you find some aspect of a game that you don't like, come here and ask for recommendations to change that aspect. We will be happy to offer specific suggestions. 🙂
That sounds like solid advice, thanks. I just started a playthrough and immediately hate the fact that you get frozen in place when over encumbered. If there's anything I want to change at this point, its probably that. I'll play the game a bit more and see how it goes
Thank you to all of the Morrowind modders again. I saw a mod that adds unlimited rings to all the fingers and you can put more than 1 ring per finger. I saw these ring finger mods before, but they only allowed 1 ring per finger.

Hi, hopefully I'm in the right place but not sure as I'm brand new to modding and was wondering why I wasn't finding much by searching until I realised just now that the forums were replaced by a Discord server! Not sure if the place for discussing playing mods or making mods are the same place?
In my Morrowind mod I've got a note that you click on and read, and that worked fine. I then put a script which plays a sound effect when the note opens. My sound effect works but now the note no longer opens up. My script is:

Does anybody know how to make the sound play and have the note still open normally? Do I have to learn timers and set a delay for the sound playing? Thanks!

Hey I'm trying to mod Fallout 3 but when I installed certain body replacer mods to fix up some of the jank the game crashes on startup. Could someone help me.
Crash on startup usually means that a required master is missing. Check your mod manager to see if it indicates mods with missing masters
So... if anyone is able to help, I'd greatly appreciate it: For Arena, I have the Nexus Mods' "TES Arena Remapped" mod by ArtInPinkerton... It says to copy two files into the main Arena folder, which I did... but I still can't get the WASD to function... any help?

The modder of Ashfall made a mod that lets you go fishing in Morrowind. Complete with animations for the fishing line and the fishing pole and the fish bobber dangling in the water. This was not done in OpenMW it was done in MWSE. Insane what modders are starting to come out with for Morrowind.

Someone just made a mod where you can paint pictures in Morrowind, through MGXE, not OpenMW. Also someone made a mod for FNV where you can throw weapons.
Can we direct link to the mods we've made? if so I will, if not, I created a mod that uses the bookmenu mod for New Vegas, adds 40 original volumes of writings, set in another post-post apolalptic wasteland. Presented as if they are books written by an unknown in-game author.

I've been working on a larger mod that adds a ton of books to the game, things like Great Khan Journals, technical logs, books that try to fill in some of the gaps about legion culture, that type of thing, slow progress tho, trying to be super lore friendly with it

Actually was here to ask on a different but similar thing; how tedious would it be to give Disguise usage to FO3's gear, such as NCR Troopers being hostile if you stroll up in Enclave Power Armor or Brotherhood opening fire on sight if you're decked out as a Veteran Ranger
Is it as easy as just sifting through a handful of files and copying in like "apparel.faction true, faction 010101 (Great Khans)" for each piece of gear? Or would it be a more hellish task to undertake?

Has anyone tried installing MO2 on steam deck for oblivion? I followed a YouTube tutorial on it and it just won’t work. I keep getting an error saying “a prefix for the selected game could not be found” everytime I attempt the MO2 installation

Are there any mods for the DOS version of Daggerfall? I've tried Nexus, moddb, and the wiki, but there's only like 5. Tried Google but I'm not finding any alternate sites.
Surely there has to be more, right? Obviously I'm not expecting a mod community the size of Skyrim's, but a single-digit number just doesn't sound right.
The BGS modding community didn't really get started until TES III and the release of the Construction Set.
Daggerfall did have some mods in the early days, mainly texture swaps. But these were largely released before the current popular modding sites, and never got re-uploaded online after places like Morrowind Summit closed.
Nexus only having 14 mods for Daggerfall is scant, but it doesn't really surprise me either.

Well doesn't ttw combine the two games. Once the fallout 4 mod versions of nv and 3 come out im aure you could play all 3 games with one character if you use some sort of addon mod that some one will eventually make

in other words, i got four massive world spaces all with a whole game worth of quests each
and it just works
Well ttw requires both fallout nv and 3. So two modded worldspaces added ontop of it obviously works. Ttw just connects two separate game installs together

Hello everyone,
As I recently reinstalled TES4 Oblivion, I decided to install some mods in order to pimp my adventure. Very surprisingly, the modding scene greatly improved on this game since the last time I played ! So I decided to make some mods myself, in order to participate on improving the state of the game.
As the in game scripts and functionalities are pretty obscures, can you tell me if there is a documentation repository or anything like this ?
To give you some insight, I'm looking forward to improve :
- the diversity of patterns for NPCs and their scaling alongside the player level ;
- the placement through the world, detection radius and levelling of random encounters ;
- the player levelling system ;
- the fighting and magicka statistics (not mechanics) ;
- the droprate of rare items following conditions relative to their placement in the world (such as boss chests or anything like it) ;
- etc.
I know there are some mods that already tweaks those mechanics, but as I'm looking for something specific, they don't feat my needs and the code comments are too rare to help me understand.

There should be "Data" folder, everything should go there
If it doesn't exist, just create it
After you unpack mods there, you need to activate them
I'd recommend Wrye Bash for it, but you may also use vanilla launcher

I already have it installed, alongside Loot, Wrye Bash, xEdit and a few other tools. Just to be sure about the load order.
At the moment, I'm trying to figure out how to solve conflicts between mods. In the mod I'm actually working on, scripts can sometimes be overwriten by others si I wonder if there is a proper IDE to find conflicts and shared acces to the same file from the base game. I presume xEdit should be able to display that, but don't know where ^^"
Be aware about the behaviour of Wrye Bash. As it drops some files from the original game, it is important to load certain mods after loading the bashed patch - among others, it's the case for maskar's oblivion overhaul.

hello! I'm trying to create a script that inputs the player's speed attribute and multiplies it by 1.5x, then adds the output to the PC's horse speed attribute in Oblivion, but the official wiki page making reference to the script commands and functions are under 'maintenance' and I don't know where else to look up for script references. Any help would be very appreciated.

Hi! New to the discord; I just wanted to know if anyone has any recommendations for a sort of 'baby's first guide to MAKING oblivion mods'? I have a lot of experience in downloading mods that other people have created, but I wanted to try my hand at making mods in oblivion; but all the guides I can find at a glance seem geared at people who are new to downloading mods, not so much using the creation kit and learning to make a mod yourself.

Hi, I've been modding Fallout 3 for a while, and one problem I've had is around transfering textures from fallout nv to fallout 3. (US army general coat from Lonesome road on Autumns jacket, Brotherhood elder robe onto scribe robe etc) and I've always had pip-boy clipping issues. Any advice?

Do you want to actually extract the textures, or do you just want the Nifskope model preview to read the textures directly from the archives? If you point NifSkope data path to the right directory you dont have to extract textures for the preview.

Bethesda Archive Extractor (BSA and BA2) by hexabit
M01 has Bethesda studio archive extractor which is what is used for extracting models from the game. From there, it gets much more complicated depending on what you're doing.
Managed to get along with Nifskope for models and BAE for textures. could probably use bae for models too but it wants to extract All The Models and I don't have patience for that.
Oh I see, I mean you could just highlight the meshes folder and tell it to extract everything and that should take like maybe 30 minutes or an hour depending on your computer

So, I am trying to retexture a power armor in FNV, I have already changed the texture in GIMP after making a back up copy elsewhere, most tutorials now say to either effectively make a new item using this texture or reference a Textures Folder that should be under Data in my FNV folder but when I go to Data there is no Texture Folder, only the .bse
What can I do to replace the file?
Okay, found a work around- I took the model I edited to use as a new texture from a mod, I can just replace it within that mod. Now the next question is, how do I go about upgrading it's stats?

I'm trying to find an old Oblivion mod from years and years ago. The premise was that you were constantly being hunted by Glarthir (the crazy wood elf), what's-their-name who wielded Umbra, and one other person (one of the named guards from a quest, I wanna say?). Eventually they'd track you down, you'd kill them, and they'd respawn a few days later to repeat the process. (They were separate entities from the actual Glarthir, Umbra-wielding person, and third guy, so you could go still do their quests and such). Anyone remember this mod, or have an idea where I could find it?

This is maybe a bit more "classic" than this channel is usually for, but a video went up earlier today for "Doom 2 Ray Traced", a GZDoom-based mod that makes Doom 2 Ray Traced (either with RTX Remix or a custom renderer). The instructions on Github talk about needing to install Doom 2 on Steam first, so it can find the right files. I checked and it isn't necessary, you can just copy over your doom2.wad from other retail Doom 2 versions, just as you would with regular GZDoom. How do you make an NPC replacer mod using TES4Edit? The NPCs in question I want to replace are the guards at the Arcane University and the guards at the castle near Chorral (forgot the name of it) with Hoarfrost Knights.
okay so ive modded oblivion with i think close to 80 mods, ive been fixing a few errors and crashes while ive been playing. There are some errors that i keep having though that im not sure how to fix and cant find anything on it. I looked in obs logs and found that a lot of crashes are a script error from Tr07q002ZeekScript from the twmp hammerfell mod and also i sometimes get a WARNING: substantial numbers of string variables exist for the following files (may indicate savegame bloat):
LenasCompanions.esm error too but to solve that i disable the mod and make a new save and renable it but this is the second time its happened.

I enjoyed the Oblivion Remaster but I have the same qualms that many do with difficulty: kind of all or nothing, immersion-breaking gear scaling (a/k/a bandits in daedric armor), Master difficulty being only really feasible with cheese, etc. Can anyone recommend any overhauls that would address these effectively? I see Ascension is popular but I'm not sure if that'll do the trick, would love some feedback!

This features level ranges for all enemies in the game. This means that enemies won't scale indefinitely and that you'll find high level enemies in certain areas even if you're at a low level. If you encounter those high-level enemies early on, you should flee and get stronger before you face them again.
The level scaling issue existed in OG oblivion, and was clearly not fixed in the remaster.

Good question. Whatever they are doing has been going on for a long time. The legacy wiki (MediaWiki) had already been defunct for many years before the release of Starfield. Sometime before or after Starfield released, the wiki went down for maintenance. Like the link embed says, the new wiki software is now XWiki. Assuming they are going to carry over legacy content, the transition from MediaWiki to XWiki would take some time.
Anyway, the UESP team has been the care taker for the old CS/CK sites for ages. Several years ago they cloned all the sites and host them all. They are not just clones though, they are living wikis you can contribute to today. https://en.uesp.net/

Even if your only concerned with TESIV, try cross referencing the CS wikis for the other games if you get stumped on something. The topic coverage can be spotty but the majority of stuff is transferable between the games. GECK wikis are good to cross ref with TESIV.
Thanks for the UESP wiki, exactly what i was looking for. i accomplished my goal of just making an edited overpowered weapon and spawning it in the world, only problem now is that i guess the attack speed grinds the weapon durability down to 0 in a few swing and its essentially useless after one entity gets killed. not sure about max edit values either

I'm trying to replace only the dialogue files in Oblivion with the german dialogue (trying to learn). I want to keep all text in english.
I've done this before in Morrowind and Fallout 3 by just replacing some .bsa files, but I'm having trouble with Oblivion. I tried swapping the Voices1.bsa and Voices2.bsa files. I also tried extracting and repacking .bsa files for the first time
Unless I have the matching oblivion.esm file none of the dialogue will play at all, but obviously the .esm file switches the text to german as well.
Any suggestions or anything I'm missing?

I just got MO2 set up for Fallout New Vegas, and I'm seeing a "No profile found in ini C:/Users/Username/AppData/Local/ModOrganizer/New Vegas/ModOrganizer.ini, using default 'Default'. Just wondering how I correct this issue?
Nevermind, got it cleared. Had to run the game, exsit the game, close MO2, and reopened it and the error is gone.

The base game is the same. Some mods may require the DLCs. If you want to use those mods you will need the GOTY edition, which is bundled with the DLCs.

Its recommended you don't use vortex for fallout new vegas. If you want a good start on modding new vegas follow the viva new vegas guide as it will get you started with mo2 and a goid starting point for mods for the game

20th_centuary_weapons_5.12_with_addons, Oblivion_Blades-6558, 7476 - Aliens M41A Pulse Rifle, 14773 - Apocalypse Armory, 10856 - Wasteland Melee Mod Pack V3., <----the numbers like 6980 are the number listing on nexus. so you can just paste that into a mod page to load those up. some like 20th century 5.12 with addons are not on nexus and would need to be searched. those should give you quite a selection of weapons to play with. dont forget to merge it all or wyre bash or whatever its called so it all works together. I currently am playing fo3 in a non-ttw setup so I am currently running those mods in my wasteland.

NVSE needs to be installed manually. Unzip the file and read the instructions. Very easy to do.

I'm trying to create terrain LOD for a new world space I made in the FO3 GECK. I used xLODGen to speed up the process in making the terrain meshes and textures. I put the outputs where they should be in the game directory, and checked all of the boxes on the GECK, but no LOD will ever load. Does anyone know what's going on?

This is the result of a few hours of work, and discovring that you REALLY shouldn't set the FOV too high on these new cameras.
This requires minimal mesh editing, and I have an easily-insertable block for the camera's viewing plane.
All this really needs now is a crosshair,...

Hey, I'm here modding New Vegas. Anybody has any recommendations for mods overhauling Freeside and the Strip that aren't incompatible with a ton of stuff? Or are The Strip Open and Freeside Open still worth it even if I have a ton of quest mods?
I don't recommend TTW and the Open mods together. The Open mods will kill performance in that area anyway. Even though modern hardware is much better the game engine still doesn't handle it well. Especially don't combine with higher population mods. I'm on mobile and don't remember the names but I always get the mod to shut up the yelling kid and the one to kill the background chatter as it's too unimmersive given the low population.
I do recommend a map marker mod to give you more direct access to important spots in both areas. Less time spent walking and being attacked by weak murder hobos
I never recommend Freeside open, as freeside was neer intended to be a single cell. I HAVE to recommend The Strip Open, as we recently discovered that the polycount of the scrap walls provides more of a performance hit than not having them there- especially because the Strip is already one world cell and everything is already loaded in.
Interesting to know... Is The Strip Open as incompatible with other mods as Freeside Open?
Anyone used Project Atlas for Morrowind before
Hello. After trying very hard to get Morrowind working with 3440x1440 resolution, I was finally able to do it. Is there a current and up to date modding guide for Morrowind? A lot of the ones I used to use like getting the MGE up and running and a full suite of beautiful mods, either the links don't work or the videos have been taken down, or they're so out of date they're pointless.
My biggest problem with New Vegas is finding a vehicle mod that allows first person, they all (even the impressive one in The Frontier that nearly killed its creator multiple times due to overworking) are third person or have the player character invisible the entire time.
Anyone got any recommendations?
My computer is dumb as it doesn't like using script extender scripts despite it being installed so no chance of me doing it in the GECK myself (can't even get Thumble's bulletproof shield script to work on a shield from one of the Legion redesign mods and that's with Thumble's help, bless him for trying).

Wow, all it needs now is for there to be a way of seeing the player character's body, a nice way of getting fuel, maybe a third person option and to be released to be perfect.

We're running a survey right now about general feelings regarding The Frontier, and feedback would be appreciated as we move forward with our rework.
That survey took a lot more prep and battery life to finish than I expected but I like the direction I can see the mod taking. Please consider my idea for a Lore Friendly toggle like how Hardcore mode was activated in the base game via a dialogue prompt though I'd understand if you didn't add it considering the changes it'd make in dialogue, plot and various other areas.

Yes, I love Av Latta Magicka! I'm playing with it right now, as a matter of fact. It manages to make magic-using characters in Oblivion interesting to play, for a change. This mod, and Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul, are essential mods in all of my mod lists. Nice call!

Is there a way in Morrowind's creation kit to make a device that works kinda like the alchemy menu from mortar & pestles but the effects of the item made are instantly transferred to you, or make it so an item if used uses up another item in your inventory and gives you an effect through scripts?
I'm looking for ways to fix the Good Skooma Pipe to make it usable as something other than an Alembic. Also how do bongs work? Asking since maybe Tobacco might be a good alternative for Skooma if you don't want to be getting glares from merchants and that's the closest thing IRL aside from vape pens and those aren't exactly applicable.

Ok not sure where this goes but I guess it goes here. Why hasn't bethesda put morrowind, oblivion, fnv, fallout 3 construction sets and gecks on steam? I cannot find them in the tools section and now with bethesda shutting down bethesda net. I only see skyrim se and fallout 4 creation kit in the tools. is morrowind and oblivion construction sets gonna be lost forever? anyone? does bethesda got plans?

Dont know if this is the place to ask this, I was manually modding morrowind and I keep getting loads of errors, the game runs perfectly fine and there are absolutely no issues, but there are still a load of errors I have to click yes to the launch the game, is there an easy way to stop them from showing up?
Not really no. If you're using MGE there's a setting to add a "yes to all" button so you only have to click once, but aside from that I think it's just normal for a heavily modded game

Actually, now I am seeing white trees, probably a texture issue? Also depending on how far I am from the trees, It can be from normal to bugged out. The trees are ass labeled flora_tree_ai_0(1-4) They seem to only be on the coast from Balmora to Suran. How do I fix this?
@uncut sleet Hey, sorry for late response again, but people have pointed that site to me and it is only for oblivion, no mention of morrowind in it morrowind had a construction set also downloadable from the old bethesda site before bethesda.net. Sadly there are 3 ways I can pull the morrowind construction set now is from a disk I have before it gets destroyed, from the nexus mods, and from the gog version.
I'm interested in trying Fallout New California. I'm running the GoG version of New Vegas. Are there any additional, REQUIRED mods I need to run NC, or can I just run it vanilla?

Whelp, just found out that Fallout NC has been, for all intents and purposes, abandonded. Looks like I'll be giving it a solid pass for now.
So, by all accounts Project Nevada is old and outdated, and as such, people are being warned to stay away from it. I liked it for a lot of the features it had, the ability to set it so that you can take a perk every level as opposed to every two levels being one of them. Is there a stand alone mod that lets you take a perk every level?
Something being old doesn't mean it no longer works.
project nevada is old and has a lot of issues there is alternatives for most of its features that can work better but no all in one package

Question about A World Of Pain. Is it possible to explore these locations later and have a somewhat easier time doing so. Last couple of locations I've had my butt handed to me by the occupants. Also, there are a lot of locked doors. Are there keys that unlock these doors?
