Here’s what I would do to ruin Leviathan, or in other words, the “weak spots” of Leviathan:

1️⃣ I would run tournaments in a Sit and Go format so players could easily abuse the system.

2️⃣ I would keep making the game more casual and simpler to cater mostly to non-paying players.

3️⃣ I would hold tournaments with a ratio of 80% Casual / 20% Leviathan instead of 50/50 or 20/80.

4️⃣ I wouldn’t release a “Deck Builder,” so opponents could send you cheap level 60 Illuvials with no stats.

5️⃣ I wouldn’t use a randomizer for team distribution in tournaments, making it easy to abuse.

If I were a developer, I’d seriously address all these aspects. I’d also consult economists to clearly define the real target audience for this mode.
But I’m just a player, so I’m simply sharing my unprofessional opinion.

@near pier , @inner topaz , you are making an excellent start right now. My big request is to keep this direction. This is really very thin ice. The community loves you right now and is even asking to expand the number of spots in the tournament. But just one wrong step — and those who were praising you will start throwing stones at you.

Respect to you guys for this tournament.

At this stage, I am truly impressed with your work. I hope that after this test tournament, Leviathan will become a regular fixture for us.

What are the tournaments for to find out the best bot ?

Wasn't suggesting it as a permanent format at all...
But we have a tournament for 32, with 72 singed up so far, and could still get more... which is super positive, and I am not sure if many expected that 🙂

So ideally we would want as many as possible to participate in this event, and build on the positive that come along with that, and one option could be to expand the current format to 64 players, with a waiting list... or try to come up with an alternative for qualifiers, which could potential be a "sit and go format"... but I agree there are Pros and Cons with that, and ultimately it also comes down to what Rich think is best and easiest to manage.

I also think its important to repeat that Leviathan may still needs more balance tweaks, but this will be a fun way to get it tested. 🙂

There is a couple ways you can check the mint number of an illuvial, or it's total supply.

As for mint number, an Illuvial has something called an Espial # - found on it's details page. For example, you can see my Archeleon here I just caught, showing an Espial of 9432. That means, at the time I caught this, there was that many that had been captured.
The 'Finish' espial relates more to the illuvials specific finish. Colour, Holo or Dark holo.

Now, if you want to check how many there are in total of a certain illuvial, at any given time, you can go to the illuvidex, search the name of the illuvial, tick the box that says 'Listed' (this will show ones that people have not listed, as well as listed ones for sale) and it will show you the amount 'found' at the right hand side. (see squizz pic)

There may be easier way to get this meta data, but I don't personally know it! This is how I'd check the current supply of a specific illuvial at least

The game is still being heavily changed on a regular basis. Whether that be new content entirely, slight adjustments, or just new illuvial weight changes, there is always going to be bugs pop up and it's important we keep reporting those where we can so the data allows easier fixes.
But to say a single bug hasn't been fixed in an entire year, is false entirely.

I get frustrations, but let's try and stay realistic. The games FAR better than it was last year, ask anyone who played throughout that process and I'm confident they'll agree we are in a better state - Sure, there's still bugs, but a TON has been fixed

If it's about bugs, I also want to know why some illuvials that have omega as projectiles or something similar, some projectiles still take damage if they die and others the damage is canceled, or what the hell does it mean when mah'mu gives omega to an illuvial and when it randomly reaches the target it either only takes damage or only gives stun or does nothing because the mah'mu that gave the omega is stunned or rooted or silenced, or squids that although they hit with lightning, they don't take damage, randomly or if they die in the same second. Although you never seem to wonder what is happening in your fight and why.

I feel like the drop rate for T5 S3 illuvials with auto drone is too high.

if you compare 10 auto drone to 10 overworld runs you'll get a few in auto drone and very lucky to get 1 in overworld. plus you'd have to have a spare master shard.

all the T5 S3 drops in auto drone would be holding the value down IMO

also if you want to fuse 3x stage 2 into a stage 3 youre better off spending that fuel for the auto drone

maybe just needs some balancing but I feel like im wasting time and money playing overworld when auto drone is so generous

The game is free to play on Epic games. Ranked gauntlet is 100% f2p, Leviathan gauntlet you are gonna wanna own strong illuvials to compete in the big prize pool tournaments so it's more like p2w. Overworld is free for stage 0 but you need to buy fuel to do stage 1-3 runs.

Yeah due to low playerbase there is not a ranked MMR based matchmaking so you can end up with the best players on your lobby. I suggest you to play casual or go to the website and start spectating games first to learn and jump on ranked when you think you are ready to know advanced mechanics

You´ll notice is someone´s turn when the panel his drone is standing on changes color, same for you. Lowest health to highest health is the order, but some light quick after the other or almost together so u need to stay sharp if you want your Illuvial. Good luck!

It would be great if anyone of you guys could make a video about the lvl and stats system in the leviathan mode. Me and maybe a lot of other players doesn't really understand that system. what's more important now the stats or the lvl? for example, what is stronger a lvl 50 with good stats or a lvl 60 with weaker stats? That's all together quite complicated, even in discord a lot of people are not sure about it. thank you, have a nice day

you can check this by just looking at illuvials stats on illuvidex, compare whatever you want

there is no leviathan arena league as far as i know.
There will be some tournaments, but nothing detailed out so far.

stats before level i would say, since your s2 are already on lvl 20 and s3 already on lvl 40... which is already a significant part of the lvl buff.
Also levels just affect 3 stats as you can see on the dex.

• Stat bonus is currently at 25% for each stat if it is on maximum
• Level bonus is 25% aswell if your illuvial is on lvl 60, making it roughly 0.416% increas per level. (Note, your illuvials can go above lvl 60)
• Just HP, ATK and OP get affected by lvl
