Play 2 earn is not a thing in Illuvium as it isnt sustainable.

You mostly pay to play, but end up owning assets in the process. Just like you would buy a deck of pokemon cards or buy boosters.
This blockchain integration happens with the launch of the open beta. The aim is Q1 as per the roadmap.

I dont know how powerful the entire line of thylacine will be. That shouldnt work with affinities right? So you would put one down and then remove another to have better stacks.
Also you wouldnt have the ability to get invoker 2 with those weapons and illuvials. So your dualeph would remain quite weak.

Better probably would be to add eother ophisto with a fire dominant, and then add another slayer as well so you could get either of those classes boosted. Then add a staff and daggers instead of two shields to transition when needed.

Well imagine placing without ever removing units, then by the end of the entire fight you could have 1600 points worth of units. That is 8 T5s with Exalted augments and a max ranger.
Every time you place a weak unit and remove it, your final power will reduce (removing costs MP). You would end with a board with 1500 or 1400 total mastery points.

So a few small units is not bad, but if you win the early waves by tanking it out, and only deal minor damage to the enemy, you will struggle more and more against the enemy in later waves. So one way is to demolish the enemy in the first 4 battles. A mini-deck with berserker fighter tactic may work or slayer. (Hypothetical really) While the other would be to get a few tanks and playing cost efficient in the early rounds while aiming for the end game to slap 1500 power on the board and steamroll anything.

Im totally unaware of the use-case of atlas or Carablu. Maybe their bulwark can tank a bit but I feel like they would be used as stop-gap units rather than be a deciding factor in a battle. 1 of either could be enough to play cost-efficiently.

Thats just my point of view from playing other games tho. Havent played Illuvium much since PB1 😅

In the Illuvium Universe, there are three different types of fuel Hyperion, Solon, and Crypton. These fuels are used in the Illuvium ecosystem for various purposes, such as curing shards, crafting weapons and upgrades, and traveling to different regions. Fuel production is driven by Illuvium Zero

In Illuvium: Overworld

• Hyperion is used to cure shards and capture Illuvials,
• Solon is used to craft weapons, armor, and other upgrades,
• Crypton is used to travel to different regions.

In Illuvium: Zero
Hyperion, Solon, and Crypton are commonly used in high-level buildings. These fuel types may be required in order to build or upgrade certain structures

There is a free to play area where you can find 5 illuvials and some common stuff.

If you want the rare assets like Legendary Rhamphies you will need to spend money in the form of Fuel. Just like how you would open Pokemon packs, the overworld of Illuvium will require you to spend Fuel to go on an expedition and find some monsters/rocks/plants.

So if you want the expensive rare and powerful stuff, you will have to pay for it. Or you can buy a land, quite a big investment, and produce the fuel yourself so you can play with that.
