In the overworld they will be the resources and illuviuals you collect, or buy then the illuvials are played in the Arena. This will happen once the game goes live. There are also blueprints gathered from land which people will be able to make into skins.

There are also NFTs Illuvitars in Illuvium beyond. Which is seperate to the game and it hasn't been determined what function, if any, they play in the game.
Read up in the different channels and listen to the AMAs there is a lot of info in these sources.

You're welcome, I recommend playing the game now to get the feel of it. There are lots of strategic decisions to make. So trialing even without getting NFTs i believe it well worth it, especially if you want to play competitively.
Many people have had the opportunity to test the game for months.

I've been in the discord for awhile but haven't paid much attention to illuvium since the gamestop collab. I've been watching some youtube videos trying to understand the game more (since the game itself is lacking a good tutortial) and came across the oskamatt and tsg's video...one complaint that I have is that the messaging/PR isn't very good. TSG really shouldn't be coming across as saying "this is before my time I have no idea what's going on with this". The company should focus on messaging and a singular and cohesive vision. There's too much focus on success of nft and crypto, how to sell more nfts and how to extract more money from users "if user has 3 nfts, we want them to get 2 more!"

1. You two were discussing about how the gamestop collaboration/messaging/promotion began and whether it was a successful promotion or not. You stated that it was before your time and that it was handled by someone else so you can't comment on it. I think that's fine to say that internally, but outwardly to the public it just comes across as the marketing/comms side is fragmented from the upper heads of the company.
2. You two were discussing about pricing and if users would see the "$75 for 1, $300 for 5" was worth it or not. You stated that the pricing is there for printing, overhead, etc (again, this should be internal comms only), and that the pricing/promo was done to get users to "go from 3 d1sks up to 5 or from 10 up to 15".

Overall it's just kinda crypto bro type of vibes and I don't really vibe with it. I want to see web3 gaming succeed but I don't see how it succeeds if the "#1 game" publishing this type of messaging out.

Side comment but I disagree with the "#1 game" marketing since gods unchained has a great userbase with a good focus on the game itself, whereas from what I'm seeing illuvium is more hype and for crypto bros.

Not much to say on this. I was really actually looking for some general videos about the game/gameplay so far and came across your video. I know the game is in beta but I think the game is beautiful so far. The team itself just needs to be putting some more emphasis on an ingame tutorial, guidances/quests, and an actual story. From what I've tried out so far, I hopped into the overworld and was just wandering and asking "what the hell do I do now?" That's when I really had to go hunt for youtube about what it is actually expected of the game

I did watch the crypto mason video and share the same sentiment of hopping in and then just wandering for 20 minutes and then was confused and hopped out. Having some type of popup modal with the controls in game would help beta testers, in addition to a pop up modal with a changelog and "here's where we need help and are looking for feedback on" would go a long way

I was pondering if it's still achievable for a new player to get on the leaderboard of Beyond (the Illuvitar "game" for someone new) and I think it is. And the way to do it is perhaps thru Illuvidex, the online ILV run marketplace. For example there is a geyyser with accessories listed below the floor price of a geyyser with no accessories that has over 3,000 points. Now this would slot into about 10 different spots in the album (assuming you are are just starting out) and give 30,000 points with one purchase of less than $100. If someone sniped and did this with other illuvitars with accessories selling below the sum of the parts (and there are a lot under $10), I imagine they could get into the top 100 (and I hope they expand this beyond 100!) perhaps for around $2k. Now is it worth it? Well if you enjoy it, yes. And a payout of half an ILV a week would add up to $1,212 a year if you stay on the leaderboard, meaning you could get half your cost back as rewards (assuming the price stays where it is) in the first year and have some really cool Illuvitars. Not financial advice of course but just interesting to consider.....

The plan is to have in game tutorial type progressions but certainly not ready yet. There are already several third party sites that provide reasonable how to play descriptions. My experience is that I use either in game or Google.

you can gain fuel, blueprints, and illuvials is how i understand it so far

at the end of S1 there is a short time window, where you will be able to mint the blueprints you found and keep them.
after the minting-.window, the plots reset to make them ready for open beta. Which is expected to be in q4 according to roadmap.

Sup guys. Anyone have any tips for more successful illuvial scans before upgrading the singularity scanner? I'll have enough resources to upgrade tomorrow, but want to scan one more time while I wait for the resources. Only thing is my scans always come up with nothing (my efficiency is 100%, I've cleared all plants). Currently my singularity scanner is level 1.

Scanners make biodata of the illuvials. Then you build labs to make blueprints of the illuvials. You will get to mint the blueprints at a later date before launch. These aren't the actual Illuvials. Those are caught in Overworld and won't be able to be minted until after launch.
