Has anyone played the Zero Alpha? Is it enjoyable or it requires some work on that side still?

It pretty much is the finished product in my opinion. Only things that are missing is the blockchain integration and integration with other games (if I'm correct). Also, there will be a lot of improvements coming still in the future as well as some balancing changes. So it still requires some work, but I find it pretty enjoyable already. Would love it even more if I could play it on my iPhone. But it is what it is. Soon....

It's all about what kind of games you like and what is enjoyable for you. If this is your kind of game, you should be good. There aren't any major bugs that will destroy your experience.

I really enjoy zero, and weirdly feel like I "own" land...like it's a real, not virtual thing, so it's fun to take care of (you even have to weed 😉 Now you get the value of blueprints you discover, and next phase you'll get the benefit of whatever fuel you generate (varies by land level...my bias in tier 2 as a compromise) . And the fuel will become instrumental in the overworld discover and capture game, so it will be fun to be part of that also. Not sure you'll make much money (certainly vs what it costs to buy land, though a free version without reward is coming also) but it's like playing poker with friends: the "value" of the fuel, etc. make it's more fun as a game.

This is not accurate. The dao did sell tokens for a capital raise recently but prior to this dao was using capital runway to pay off the core contributors.

Team has locked tokens but they've been unlocking already. Founders agreed to be locked up for 3 years total.

Treasury tokens get revdis. So ideally it'll be self replenishing based on the percentage it gets from revdis. Now ideally it uses the eth to purchase ilv then distributes to stakers. dao sells a portion of its ilv share from revdis to stables and converted to currency to be paid to core contributors.

Another way is we just directly sell the eth and skip buying ilv to save in fees just for overhead costs but that would need an IIP.

The reason there are 40 cent Illuvitars is because people didn't know what was in the D1sk they were opening. Hoping for a Rhamphyre they pulled yet another Kukka, as did most people do there are more Kukka than the market wants (at least for now). The same will not be true of skins. These blueprints we are getting now, cost only our time as landowners to get. However, to make them into skins we will have the cost of fuel to get the Illuvial and whatever cost there will be to actually turn it into a skin. We won't be doing it unless someone is willing to pay more than our costs to make them.

I can see people selling their blueprints cheap and that will be a mistake IMO as give it 5 years and these original first skins might be worth something to collectors.

But even if they aren't, as long as Illuvium takes off, something like Rhamphyre will be. It will cost a Rhamphyre to make the skin. That will make it more valuable and someone who plays PVP will want to flex it. There is a pyschological advantage to playing with a rarer skin.

Start looking at how much people are willing to pay for skins in other games. Illuvium's skins will be owned by the player, no black market selling. I think bthe right blueprints are going to be very valuable. In 2 years we will see who is right.😉

The thing i'm most curious about with ILV token is if the creators use it as the only means to profit, they need to sell the token to pay employees and other business related expensive which will dump in on the market,i could be wrong but that's the only burning issue i see from a tokenomic perspective

I have a general sense of malaise every day because I think we are not thinking of everything. We try to. But there are a couple of issues: Sometimes we think of something but don't have the time to do it right now. Sometimes something contracts something else and we can't do everything.

I see ideas get thrown around in chat all the time like "Just build an MMO" and it's hard to know if people are being serious. Nintendo just released a great game in Tears of the Kingdom, but it had hundreds of millions in funding, 6 years dev time, and a studio that has existed for more than a century. Plus it was a sequel. There's only so much we can do. When I've been on the other side my suggestions have been like "adjust the metrics of gold to better display current power".

A book series that I was writing periodically over the last few years. It's completely changed now, but I might one day write that series as an 'alternative version'. Who knows.

If you mean my influences and such then I would say: Christopher Nolan, Brandon Sanderson, Herbert, Steven Erikson, Neil Gaiman, Waksberg (Bojack Horseman), Michael Schur, Vince Gilligan.

I'm a big fan of structure as a narrative element. Memento is a masterpiece. I love tragedies. The Usual Suspects is probably the best tragedy of all time.

Our story is much easier to tell as a book or movie. Doing it through a game is going to be hard. That's why I've said it's mostly something you will absorb. This is not a linear game like The Last Of Us. (Also great, and suitabily tragic for me)

It won't be as indirect as something like Arcane was for Riot but it's not too far off.

It's clearly Scifi, but it borrows from Fantasy. To me they are just settings and not really meaningful. The story is what matters. I don't think there is an appreciable difference between a wizard and someone like Iron Man.

PvE hopefully will involve more leveling and collecting to give purpose to the stage 2 and 3 illuvials. With the restrictions of gambling laws, I don't think Leviathan is where these illuvial stages should be showcased, it should be PvE.

PvE is where the illuvial stages will be showcased for most 👀 the idea was to only allow players in Ascended to use the beginning stage and fill in what stage you wanted in your deck. Overworld / PvE always was going to require that specific stage if you wanted to use them.

PvE is where we get more of the lore. More of the immersion. More connections and attachments to our illuvials--levelling them up etc. PvP is for the competitve junkies. People who like the feeling of being better. To each their own, which is what I love about Illuvium's ecosystem. Its for different strokes for different folks.
