Overworld FAQ

The Illuvium: Overworld FAQ provides answers to some common questions that new players may have about the game. It can help players understand how to play the game more effectively and avoid common pitfalls.

1) How do I get more shards?
Harvest ore deposits for a chance to get uncured shards. Then, go back to Sanctum Mesa, where you can cure shards at the Forge. Finally, withdraw the shards from your locker to your inventory.

2) How do I get components?
Use deconstruct at the Forge. If you want a weapon component, deconstruct a weapon. If you want an armor component, deconstruct an armor. The lowest level of each type can be constructed without needing a component.

3) My starting shards aren't working on T1+ Illuvials!
You can't use a T0 shard on T1+ Illuvials.

4) I finished a travel cycle and my stuff is gone! Where's all my stuff?
Everything you gather or capture in a travel cycle gets transferred to the locker storage automatically.

5) I cured shards at the Forge, but they aren't in my inventory, where did they go?
Crafted items gets transferred to the locker storage automatically, you need to move them to your inventory to be able to use them in travel cycles.

6) How do I remove an Illuvial from my deck?
Go to your locker storage and open it (press "E"), open inventory (press "I") and click on the Illuvial to transfer it into storage.

7) Illuvial Orbs (Wake) keep disappearing! Why is this?
Wake can disappear for 2 reasons. If you get too close to a Wake, it will despawn. If you miss your shot at a Wake, it will despawn. Be careful with your aim, you can jump and aim to make time move slower.

D1sks are packs that get you Illuvitar profile pictures. Basically portraits of Illuvials that can be used during your gameplay purely to show off.

ILV is like the stock of Illuvium you would get revenue distribution over rhe amount of tokens you locked up and staked once the game comes out.

sILV2 is an in-game voucher that has the same buying power as ILV. If you intend to play the game, you may want to hold some sILV2 and use that to fund your in-game purchases from the DAO.

Lands within the game will produce resources that allow you to play the game instead of having to spend on it. So D1sks are fun little aesthetical NFTs, while the other tokens and lands may be more valuable for other uses.

When the game comes out, there will be Illuvials. They are monsters that you will play and fight with. The d1sks and Illuvitars are purely the portraits of these monsters and potentially have a smaller usecase.

You can also buy d1sks for example with sILV2. Currently ILV has a value of 60$ and sILV2 of like 47$. So if you want to buy D1sks you may be better off buying sILV2, sending that to IMX and buying with that indtead.

Illuvitars are purely Profile pictures. When you are in the Arena, imagine the pre-game loading screen to have your PFP and some cool border when you have more Illuvitars to finish collections.

Additionally, collecting the profile pictures will allow you to finish collections. The collections may reward you with some fun Aesthetic features such as potentially an Arena background (TBD)

Sorry hopped off for a bit. Illuvitar's prices are based on how they look and how rare they are. Mostly based around power and rarity.

Rare T3-T5s have some value, while anything below that usually can be bought with a few dollars if you are looking for the most common versions. The more rare versions (That have a chance of like 1/1.000+ to be obtained), usually are valued higher. You can look into the prices on tokentrove or the Illuvidex 🙂

For my feelings it was a bit too chaotic. I would have liked a concert experience with some games intermingled more. Also the team captains didn‘t add much fun. I believe more in experiences with famous people like Snoop Dog. But it really is still just a tech demo and it it will get better. I believe they also plan to integrate Unreal games with better graphics, but less multi players. So it won‘t just be these massiv 7.200 player events. Although I would expect massiv battles or races with hundreds of cars, planes and ships, each played by 1-100 players working in different roles in these vehicles. Game Genre’s that haven‘t been possible before.
