Hello can someone give me a basic overview of the doomsday event. I have no clue about it. How long beforehand do you need to be in a top 5 alliance? More importantly what are the time demands of the event (obviously I know this is subjective) but in general how much time does it take over? I am about to start a new job and have said I dont think it is a good idea for me as I need to prioritise the real world for once but everyone is going on at me so thought I would at least just check.

You can move over to a top 5 just before the event and then switch back during the event

The event is all day long for the duration, but different bases you fight for open at various times (I don't remember the exact schedule, but it was something like one level at reset, then the next level reset+2, then the next reset+3 or something) So you should probably be able to make a few

When they're first taken, anyone online can try to click the boxes. Also, there's some quests that will be easier to clear if you can make them

Just need to be careful to move back to safe zones when you won't be around. It can help to have NAP, but some people always seem to break those

Just curious....how many people plan to spend on this event where they take away most of your upgrades and give sub-par rewards? I myself will not be spending a penny. Spent a couple thousand last time for just 73 frags. The enhance level of WH is gone (huge expense) and spent $400-500 on fuel for battles. Am I wrong for feeling this way?

As I remember you have to use all the scrap war hounds to enhance them. If it was as simple as beating the labs I feel like more people would have had hounds at +35

you didn’t have to use all the scrap from excess warhounds but it certainly helped. i had one warhound at +35 as well as 1 at +30 and 2 at +25 and i spent minimally on the event.

The 5 teams will have their own sonic trap on the map. You’d just port home when your current alliance has it. You couldn’t run rallies if there is no one else from your alliance that qualified.

Top 5 teams and players active during the period they set are eligible for it. If your states numbers are too low, they’ll pair you with another state as teammates.

So 5 teams at 100 active members, they’ll all be eligible to transport themselves to the doom map and participate.

Also I have seen others say there is a minimum hq size floor.

A workaround last time was that 3 of us from our alliance joined an eligible alliance during signup. After we became eligible we were able to go back to our home alliance and run lairs with each other. I'd advise only doing this with a handful or more though.

Otherwise coordinating lairs becomes really tricky

I think that means both the top 5 alliances and the players inside the alliance that can paticipate (100 players max per alliance, above HQ 19) get decided at that moment.

Your upcoming events will have the matchmaking time and dates in your timezone

I’d suggest you have all members moved around days prior to the matchmaking period and not wait until the day before.

Yes you would. Last round 3 of us from the number 8 alliance joined a top 5 for match making day. Then we went back home for the remainder of the event. We were able to run lairs with each other.

And iirc I even joined a top 5 alliance for an event or two on the Doomsday Map at different times during the month.

Oh I did just fine when it came to quests. The hardest ones were the lair quests. That's why I'd advise this to be done with 5 or more people.

Hi! The quests are very similar to all the quests we get for Ace, Showdown etc. during the pre-expedition. Then during the event itself, there are some quests specific to the event, but then there are also some usual ones like the lairs, gathering rss, killing and losing troops... As long as you've qualified, and you have enough players from your alliance (whether you stay in top 5 or go back to yours below top 5) to run lairs with, you can get most quests done.

Did you put a ticket in? I've usually had pretty quick responses by that. I have a few accts unde HQ 20 that should have never qualified and can't fly. They have been working with the buildings while the app is up so hopefully it's just a glitch that will fix soon. Or at least they can clarify better if there's a different reason for it

Hi everyone 🤩 apologies, but I’m another dumbass hoping to find out some information 🙋🏼‍♀️
I’ve searched & read everything I can find, so I’m either dumb AND blind or it’s information that everyone else is also waiting to find out .
Our Alliance doesn’t qualify in Top 5 of the state, so 90% of our bigs left to join a Top 5 so they can participate in DD.
My question is - they seem to be under the impression that they can then rejoin OUR alliance after the matchmaking part finishes & be able to take part in our Alliance events - Flag, Sonic, DR, Party’s etc etc …….. but most importantly Showdown. Is there anywhere I haven’t already looked to see if this is possible? 🙏🏼
Otherwise I guess it’s just another ‘Thanks for that PNS’ for disadvantaging 95 out of 100 Alliances in most states by making most Alliance events & rewards unachievable for 2 weeks.
Why of all available weeks choose Showdown week!?! 😵‍💫🤯😭😔

Yes, they can return home and participate in Doomsday there as well as do Showdown as usual. But since the clash registration has already ended, they would need to return to the host alliance if they want to participate. They need to be in your alliance 15 min before reset on Sunday to participate in Showdown. Then they have 10 minutes after reset to go collect flag rewards at the host alliance if they set a team there.

Hello! Please bear with me, I chose to not participate in the last doomsday and now I am learning as I go and trying to help manage a team (ha!)

During the period of pre-expedition, can you leave to rejoin the alliance you left prior to going to a TOP 5 alliance and still participate in the tasks? Is it better to be in the alliance you joined for TOP 5 or it doesn't matter?

My concern is SD starts Sunday/Monday reset and the pre-expedition ends at same time. So we won't have time to swap alliances for SD. I just want to make sure we send help to those alliances that lost their players to the TOP 5 (if needed).

pre expedition it won’t matter too much if you go back to your regular alliance.
during the actual doomsday event it’s best to be in an alliance with other participants as there are quests which involve participating in [x] amount of lairs inside the doomsday map, which can’t be done if there’s no one else in your alliance participating

Pre expedition does start after reset. If by access to doomsday you mean the building in your sanctuary, seems it hasn't been rolled out to everyone yet. I am qualified and don't have it.

And by qualified, I mean able to participate, not as in "qualified to tell others what to do" 😂🤣😂🤣😂
