There seems to be a difference in bronze coins depending on how long you wait to collect. I had more on my farm where I collected less often, so I try to only do it a couple times a day now

Then they Collected the Coins in time. The Bar Fill up every 12 hours. So when The Bar over flow. Bronze Coin stopped Stacking Unless u collect them..

I had a 6 hr Timer set so I usually Collected the bronze Coin in every 6-10 hours

Previously it’s been start of the week is the end (of the chronicle) and the next few days is heal your troops or 10% of each type in the event infirmary die. Also once you leave doom map you can’t go back. Remember to finish fire flies in doom or don’t do them until you go back home.

The map my alliance is on has the #1 ranked Faction sending some of their top might all the way back to a level 2 Sentry. Not for them to take the center, just to help another faction not lose the zone.
Then, once we’ve taken the zone back, the Faction comes and hits our wall to allow the other faction back in.

These factions do not share languages or previous players. To the best of our knowledge, they just are having fun ruining our game.

There needs to be a mechanism in the game where if you move towards the center, you are not able to move backwards a certain distance. Devs attempted this, through the Zone Limits, but the poor map boundaries makes it that there can be no movement on the outskirts. We cannot even go around the mountains (those shouldn’t be a barrier second half)

And then there is some broken mechanic in the game, where we would see the center’s shields come down well before the timer ends.

Ending of Doomsday

Doomsday, the active event part, ends at reset today. We will no longer be able to earn exp points, capture territories, gather, run lairs, or get kill points on the map. It will not kick us back to state immediately, but since we can't do anything we might as well go.
*Stay in until reset though to gather and keep on eye on our territories.
*Do not start fireflies on the Doomsday map, since it may kick us randomly, you will not be able to access them to finish.

Doom Settlement Period: starts at reset and runs 4/12-4/15. For the duration of this time Bronze Medal Shop and Silver Medal shop will be open for exchange. Make sure you spend them, because they will not rollover to next doom. The highlight is the new heros with the sand sea tokens, or the old doom heros with the hope city tokens.
*Calculation and reward allocations may take a little bit of time after reset
*Instructions to follow about how to access the special event taverns to use your tokens, they are only viewable once you have the tokens

Sand Sea Vault: will go on until the end of the settlement period. You may still be able to get the 5 free shovels a day from alliance helps, and if you need additional shovels you can purchase them in the Bronze Medal Shop. It is uncertain if you can open a new vault after reset today though, so go ahead and use all the keys for personal vaults and compass for alliance vault if you have one now (you get 10 hero frags just for opening the alliance vault).

Expedition Hospital: Will only remain open for another 24 hours after reset. First aid kits will no longer be produced after reset, and its likely that you no longer get any from daily quest points either. So if you have any left in there be sure to do your daily quests today to heal. Otherwise first aid kits are only obtained by purchase ($50 for 50 mil), or you will have a 10% loss of all troops in there once the hopsital closes, with 90% being recovered for free at that time.

Changing alliances before reset, for showdown: Will not affect your final doomsday faction rewards. However, you may not have access to claim any more alliance milestone rewards (doesn't look like there will be any more anyways), and you may not have access to the free shovel helps for Sand Sea Vault. All faction rewards and doom rewards should remain unchanged. But you may also lose Flag Capture rewards for the week.

WC has the 10% loss at the end as well. Troop are meant to be killed and rebuilt. I go into doomsday knowing full well if I am not careful ill lose troops and I do wŕeckless things while in dd for kills

What I’ve taken as a learning curve from this Doom is to get lots of kills/casualties as soon as it starts so you get a lot of points and then work through the slow healing for the rest of the duration of the event. Just like many others, I waited until week 2 which gave me a tight deadline to heal my troops. Luckily I was able to heal them all using just the serums provided. Looking at the kill rankings, I’m definitely going to collect those first thing next DD season. Also, shield and safe zones are very important as I’ve observed, specially the last few days of the event. I saw some beefy players getting zeroed which was painful to watch 😬

We had quite a few people from our faction get demoted in rewards. They were ranked as r3s until the event closed and then got reward as "ordinary members" r2 and r1s. The faction leaders claim they didn't change anything, how can we go about checking when the event is closed? The rewards are not great in this event as is, but they deserve the coins before the chance to spend them is over.

Why provide 3 extra days to heal troops if you don't provide the method to get the healing juice? This is extremely frustrating to factions that had to battle the last 2 days. You should be able to still kill sandworms and lions and other ways to get the healing serum. Otherwise the 3 extra days are just a joke.

Since the Start of the Doomsday, the Event Mechanism sets in a Certain way where players are given extra 24 hr Hospital time, so they can use diamond & Heal their army Which they could not do with Healing serum or auto heal.

Its Unfortunate that many Of Us do not bother to Read alliance mails or Event descriptions. Intentionally

There’s been no mention of them going into timed tavern. They’re available through the hope city coins in the Doomsday Expedition Recruit holiday event. Those coins carry over and have been available to use a few times since the last doom event.

Right now you can do showdown there if you’re registered for it. All rewards should be distributed at this point in Doom. You can also participate in any alliance vaults opened in your host alliance.

I think that would be a you decision. If you’re looking for higher rewards and that only then it could be good to move. But if you like your current alliance and the people in it and if that matters more then any rewards I’d suggest staying in your current alliance.

From my experience, Hope City coins will carry over until the next time the event comes around, however, there is no garuntee of when that will be, so better to use them.

The war declaration it's the worst change they've made,it killed the surprise factor...then the map it's way too big ,too many alliances and territories,small alliances are more penalized,cause nobody want to merge with a small alliance,on our map a few alliances had only the safe zone as territory most of the event ,the faction chat that was bugged with messages since previous doom wasn't fixed and this time caused a bigger communication issue as we had merged with 2 other factions (Chinese speakers)but was very hard to communicate with them.

I merged with a small allaince …. Actually 3 of them. And in my smaller allaince was able to make some deals to get my team 3k points in land. I believe what a lot of folks are missing is that it requires more diplomacy then some other events and some outside the box thinking

Second week was really boring,the big alliances ,thanks to the war declaration were able to keep all their territories with no problems at all....u send war declaration and they garrison the wall ...no chances to take it ,in the old DD,u were able to get territories from strong teams, thanks to the surprise factor...

Declare war on everyone all the time then they don’t know when or where you will come. Option 2 is to negotiate terms that give you what you want. In a tourney format you will always have some inequality and the thing I have enjoyed most is the opportunity to make friends and find ways to benefit your team that aren’t able to be compensated in terms of coins. I played one of the bigger teams and was able to negotiate for the future as well as making friends that have looked out for me in scenerios in which I had no chance otherwise so don’t view it as just a singular event view it as a networking opportunity and find the things that will benifit your team in the long run. If you can’t find a benefit then leave the map and hope for better luck next time however you can almost always reason with most teams for the points you need

When the event started I was thinking the same like you - the surprise factor for the attacker is gone, how can you take a building if they know you declared and so on...

After some time playing the event I started to like the war declaration. Why?

If there is no war declaration it's almost impossible to take a level 3+ building from an organized faction, because they will nonstop reshield it.
The fact that they have to declare war once they abandon the building, gives you 1 hour to take that building without any resistance.
As Dark TC said, all you need is to declare war in advance 🙂

Also, you can monitor for some time and find out when most of the other team's players are not online and declare at that time. You can still surprise them, it's not impossible.

In general, I liked the war declaration. Maybe it made the event little less dynamic, but it definitely made the strategy much bigger part of it.

We made a lot of new friends (and enemies lol) playing the event, so I liked the new format too.

P.S. We helped the 16th biggest alliance on the map to finish 2nd with 15k points even tho they didn't have strong enough players to beat the guards in the level 6 walls.
How? We helped them by killing the guards.
As Dark TC said... it's all about diplomacy and some outside the box thinking.

They still need to be able to rebubble them,this way the strong alliance just need to garrison the wall and u have no chances to take it anyway,that's what happened on my map...the only way we could have taken a building was thank to the surprise factor... which was missing

Okay. Lets Just say "fair " match making Happened and All the 50-80B alliance are In Same Map. Then What? They play pilllow Passing? And Nobody cant even defeat the Wall guards? Then gets frustrated and quit?

Nope. With out Declaration, nobody Can move nowhere. Territory abandonment process also takes 1 hour

So If you wish to rebubble it, you have to declare the war atleast 1 hr before the Shield fall. Only then they can try & re bubble it

If the strong Factions hadnt taken the territory 1st, they would not get informed about your Declaration. Only the R5 of territory holder gets notified

I actually enjoyed the strategizing thanks to merges and declarations. Another level of complexity. The declaration allows you to attack for 24 hours so you do not have to attack as soon as you are able. Like others said, you can also declare war on multiple areas and hit all, one, multiple or none. We too used the strategy of attacking while the majority of the enemy were asleep. It’s takes a lot of dedication from the team. We started planning the merges as soon as the match making happened and when the level 4’s opened each alliance took their respective, we ditched the low levels, merged in the middle of the night, did an attack at 4am EST to an area we could not reach until merge, immediately declared war on the next level 4 and took that at maybe 5:30am EST or thereabouts and locked the entire map. Before the majority went to sleep each night we posted up on the walls with 30m troops each territory. You should have seen the maps we were making and moves anticipated.
The smaller factions were also battling it out for the majority and especially at the end.

I will also point out that I saw screenshots of many ranks where A01 faction did not finish in first or even second 👀

I believe that sometimes people do not differentiate between the way an event is set up vs that no one can plan for how it will be played as strategy is subjective to the mind of an individual team. The biggest changes I would like to see would be total territory points increased to 75k as well as each faction being able to merge to a total of 5. This would allow everyone in a perfect world to net minimum max camp rewards if they manage their cards right and merge, I believe some of the frustration in this event comes from people wanting to do it alone not merge and also being overly concerned about keeping the rewards for their own players and costing themselves opportunities to merge. Unfortunately you have to fill the map with 40 players and it’s impossible for all 40 to win. If you are put with some of the mega teams you need to practice diplomacy, if you are the biggest you need to ensure that no one can merge to contend, and if you are the second or 3rd you need to find out what you need to win. Some maps you can look at them and already know the best plan of action is to settle for 3k points and live to fight another day, also don’t resent people who have spent time and effort to grow their teams bigger then yours, learn from them then come back later and beat them. Or make friends 🤷 i believe most are missing that you need “build a bear factions”

Personally I use the 3 days of pre event to assess the other 39 teams and find the right amount of effort I need for that event and decide where I want to place as well as what the most likely placement for the money will be. Then when the map opens check who your neighbors are and be very careful of how you use your merges. Don’t go early because you are locked out sometimes holding out is better

I did the same. Went to each alliance and annotated their top people. Found our friends, found who our biggest threats would be to ensuring the win, made contact with them and arranged a merge. Figured out which of the other big teams we could fend off if need be and how to do it. Got us all the win and a new set of friends. Arranged second place too. There’s a lot that goes into events even being the biggest. It’s all a team effort and as you said people spend years building their teams. There is only first, second and everyone else. Someone has to be the winner 🤷‍♂️
