They Have to do this to keep the majority of their player base safe due to over half being underage, these k-id settings can be controlled by a parent or guardian who allow certain settings.

A router restart may be required. check any settings for Firewalls or Parental Internet Controls.

On PCVR
Completely remove or rename your Gorilla Tag folder, and reinstall, usually found here:
STEAM: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gorilla Tag
META RIFT: C:\Program Files\Oculus

On Quest
First check your time setting are set to Auto and that the headset has the correct time.
If you can access ingame computer make sure the Troops tab is set to Default

Next step: Clearing the Appdata.
