You no longer need to attach media, do not post report videos anywhere else on the discord.

Please don't ping Moderators about reports they cannot act on them.

Appeal an in game Ban
To appeal a Ban visit https://support.gorillatagvr.com/ban-appeal log in with your Meta or Steam account and fill in the details.
Appeals typically take 1 working day.

We have to also remind you of the #📜┃rules #10 Don't discuss your ban here and the Moderators/Developers cant unban you only the Appeals and Interventions Team.

Why Am I Banned

#3. Why am I Banned?

If you're wondering why you've been banned, there are a few possible reasons:

1, Repeated reports from multiple players: If you've been in a lobby for a long time and every new player that joins also reports you, it's clear that you're causing trouble in the game. A single report won't get you banned, but a pattern of reports will.

2, Consistent reports across multiple games: If you're being reported in every game you play and there's a clear pattern of consistent reports, it's likely that the reports are not false.

3, Excessive reports: If you've received an unusually high number of reports, it's possible that you've been farming them.

4, Reported by a trusted player: If a trusted player, such as a moderator or someone with a good reputation, reports you, it will carry more weight and may result in a ban.

It's important to note that with tens of thousands of players, standing out enough to be noticed by the appeals and intervention team is not easy. No one gets banned "for no reason." You stand out among hundreds of thousands of players.

-Reinstalling the app to manipulate the ban time
-Using a different account on the headset, even if it belongs to a family member
-Switching between platforms, such as Steam and Oculus, when you've been banned on one of them

Im only banned on PCVR not Oculus etc
If you're only banned on PCVR and not other platforms, remember that you are the one who's banned, not just your account. If you're caught evading the ban, this may cause a ban on additional accounts, this may affect others in your household as well.

#5. How to opt in to any BETA Build

Meta
1. In Headset

Open your Library and find Gorilla Tag.
Click the 3 dots on the icon (Top Right Corner)
Go to Settings → Release channels.
Pick beta, live, or another channel.
The app will update automatically.

2. On Web (Meta Store)

Go to the Gorilla Tags page on the Meta Store.
Meta Rift Store
Click the Version info.
Choose your channel Beta/Live from the dropdown.

3. On Mobile (Meta Quest App)

Open the Gorilla Tags page in the Meta Quest app.
Tap More Information → Version.
Pick your channel.

SteamVR:

Open Steam and find Gorilla Tag in your Library.
Right-click it and choose Properties.
Go to the Betas tab.
Use the dropdown to pick the beta you want.
Close the window — Steam will update the game.

Do the opposite to switch back to live, you might have to uninstall and reinstall but you will not lose any shiny rocks/cosmetics

7. Headset Issue - Clear App Data/Factory Reset
Follow the steps 1 by 1 until its fixed

Connection issues/Cosmetics Showing/Game Quitting on Launch:

  • Check the PC/Headset Time Setting and that it is correct.
  • k-ID process is complete and that all expected permissions have been granted if required.
  • Check the ingame computer for permissions that may set to OFF/Disabled
  • Reboot your Headset/PC to complete any possible OS/PC Software Updates
  • A router restart may be required. Also check any settings for Firewalls or Parental Internet Controls.
  • Additionally, if you have more than one headset/PC at home, keep in mind that the account will only work on one headset at a time.
  • Please test by connecting the Headset/PC to Mobile Hotspot and disconnect from home internet.

Only when you have tried all of the above should you consider Clearing App Data or Headset Resets - #📝┃faq message

-On the grid of icons select Settings.
-Select Account Settings.
-Select Redeem Store Code.
Enter your code and then tap the Submit button.
