**🎤 Big Changes to Voice Chat in Gorilla Tag! **

Hey everyone! We know voice chat can be amazing for making friends and having fun - but let’s be real, sometimes it gets way too toxic. That’s why we’re rolling out a brand-new moderation system with GGWP to keep Gorilla Tag a fun, safe place to play.

🆕 What’s Changing?

🔹 Smarter Moderation: The GGWP system now listens for offensive language and tracks behavior to catch repeat offenders.

🔹 A Real Drive to Educate Players: We’re focused on teaching good ‘Monke behavior’, not just punishing bad behavior. The system will help players understand what’s okay and what’s not before things get out of hand.

🔹 Real People Reviewing Bans: The Appeals and Interventions team is here 24/7 to make sure bans are fair and help sort out mistakes, they will have more tools to review appeals.

🔹 Player Reports Still Matter! If you report someone, it still helps! Reports are used alongside this system to get a more rounded picture of player behavior.

🔹 Voice-Based Detections & Player Reports: Both will now inform more accurate interventions, with warnings first and escalating to suspensions (bans) that accurately reflect in-game behavior.

🔹 No More Free Passes for Toxicity/Slurs: If someone’s behaving this way, they won’t just slip through the cracks anymore.

📅 When is it being added?

We’ve been working on this for around 12 months to make sure everything is accurate, fair, and fully integrated with our existing moderation systems. From improving detections to figuring out the best way to handle player interventions, we are taking the time to get it right. Now, we’re in the final stages of testing, and if all goes well, we plan to roll this out mid May 2025!

✅ If you feel you were unfairly banned, you can appeal it.

✅ If you're a positive player, we will know this and there may be some fun things happening in the future to reward this!

**🛑 Voice Moderation (GGWP) Sanctions: Session Mutes Are Now Live 🛑**

We’re taking the next step in making our community more respectful and fun for everyone. Starting today, Gorilla Tags Voice Moderations first level of sanctions is active: Session Mutes.

🔇 What Are Session Mutes?

Players who trigger high-impact, high-confidence voice moderation flags and ignore the Warnings in game - will be issued a Session Mute. During this time, they can only communicate in… Monkey Noises. 🐒

This is a short-term, in-game-only consequence, but it sends a clear message: Disruptive behavior has consequences.

⚠️ Important Notes:

If you say things that get others muted for any reason, you may get warned/muted too.
↪The system targets toxic behavior, particularly from players flagged as disruptive (past warnings/reports).

↪There’s no need to retaliate, fighting toxicity with more toxicity helps no one.

✅ What You Can Do:

↪Report problematic players through the Player Boards or, if you're on standalone via the Oculus menu.

↪Mute players in game if needed - don’t let one person ruin your experience, let us deal with them.

💬 Voice Moderation Reset: A Fresh Start Begins Today

We're excited to share an important update to our Voice Moderation system in Gorilla Tag:
We’ve wiped the slate clean. All previous detections, flags, and session mute history have been fully reset.

🔄 What This Means:
We’ve been extensively monitoring and testing the system and it’s been performing exceptionally well. With that confidence, we’re giving everyone a fresh start.

🎯 No More Past Flags:
Whether you’ve had Warnings or Mutes in the past, those records are now gone. This is your chance to move forward, leave old mistakes behind, and show up as a positive part of the community.

🧠 Reminder:
The Voice Moderation system is still active, still learning, and still issuing Warnings and Mutes where needed. But today, everyone gets a clean slate.

✅ What You Can Do Now:
↪ Keep voice chat fun and respectful.
↪ Use in-game tools to report or mute players if needed.
↪ Set the tone - positive players help shape the whole experience.
