I think with the invention of nests we should now not have shared spaces all over everywhere and memories. They get in the way so often and I thought there were limits to where they can go especially not in high traffic areas or where buttons are. I miss when sky wasn't littered with memories and spaces. I really don't mind the boat notes but the rest is too much sometimes.

Part of this may be that it's not obvious that you can also decorate the outside and hall entrance of your nest, like the shared spaced wasn't actually planned to go out as far right now. I just kind of discovered it while decorating

Also is the camera being weird in the nests for anyone else? I use a controller to play on my phone. I place objects via moving the camera, but the camera has a habit of turning to face the way my Skid faces whenever I place an object

Do you play on one-handed mode or two-handed mode? I have had this issue since the last 2 two updates but found out I can tap an object to delete/rearrange in two handed mode, but NOT in one-handed mode. Currently in a wrist brace and one handed mode is easier. And it’s super frustrating to have to switch back and forth between the two just to edit my spaces. I’ve also submitted bug reports on it.

tapping on a pot didn't select it at all until I walked around a bit + zoomed the camera in and out to see if it worked

You’re so welcome!!! I’m happy I could help! I still think players who use one-handed mode should have the ability to edit their spaces without having to switch. Especially because not everyone is physically capable of using two-handed mode. (Which is why I bug reported and sent feedback)

I agree, not everyone can play on 2 hand mode and it’s not fun to build shared space without editing it. I’ve sent a bug report as well so I hope they will fix it soon

Just had the horrible thought that when the seasonal items return with travelling (spirits? signs? invisible thing with a floating button?) that the prices will follow the same system as the base game stuff with X amount of the one thing e.g. chairs or lanterns being for hundreds of candles or hearts or ac......... inb4 future furniture ts are 400 candles 50 hearts and 90ac each

hoping the price system is adapted before that's even a concern for future players

The concept is cute but I don't think I could stand a 2 month long season just for decorating a place we may almost never use if we have quests and candle runs etc all outside of that area. To be honest I'm having the best time with the season so far (aside from squinting heavily at the prices), usually I'm not a big enjoyer of shared spaces but this season is giving us a whole lot more to be creative with, plus the fact we finally have a space that doesn't just expire is nice - I'm excited to see what more the season brings us with future quests. I think it'll be a mixed bag with live reactions too, not everybody will enjoy the same things, but so many players have asked for homes to decorate in the community for years so I'm glad to see these wishes are being fulfilled with the season.

Hopefully if you are somebody who doesn't enjoy this season then there'll be at least some parts that are worthwhile to you the more it develops, or even events in between that are more your taste

I also haven't messed with shared spaces in a very long time ever since they were introduced because none of the current prop pool was varied enough to help with building needs (especially building vertical and specific shapes) and the items introduced through workshop are super helpful

The thing is, with previous Shared Space-focused seasons, there was a story/quests on the side that you would do that weren’t directly related to making Shared Spaces (Assembly had the friendship quests of collecting materials, and Remembrance had all the spirit’s stories). Nesting Season’s first and second quests are Only about making shared spaces and nothing else. The third quest introduces the challenges, but by the time that makes it to live, the season would be a month underway…

You had to make a shared space every second quest of the week to help the spirit by using their associated item

Nesting is different in that it focuses solely on helping the player directly and not helping others
Quest 1 showed how to decorate by choosing between the options

The way I look at it is that there's a lot of environmental storytelling in the way that the nest apartment complex is introduced and they basically pulled a Disney "magic is underway" construction sign thing by hinting at the workshop thing becoming this current season

There is storytelling, it's just not in a direct way that players are used to with regular seasons

I think the new moth tutorials, cutscenes and story combined together with the revival quests AND now the nesting ones will make Aviary a super special place to new players, from a bunch of ruins to your blossoming and busy home village, it's such a lovely thing that I'd love to be able to experience for the first time as a new player

especially because of how long the revival quests take for new moths - having to go through the entire game on quest 4, then doing past seasons' quests for quests 5-10 will make for a very memorable experience in the long run

For exemple the days of stlye jeans and the aurora record breaking shoes doesnt have a sky aesthetic at all, its not a must to only follow sky aeshetics.

I think one of the best parts about Sky is its diversity, there’s no restrictions on who can play, how we can play, how we can customise our avatar etc. It’s a beautiful community where people from different countries, ethnicities, cultures and religions can come together as one. Allowing diversity in the customisation of homes and not restricting it to a so called ‘sky aesthetic’ would only be a good thing, in my opinion

I also wanna point out: aurora shoes are a collaboration item so regardless it wouldn't have the sky aesthetic since it's a collab
days of style jeans have the sky patterning style of the triangles down the side so it still matches up. we've also consistently had a lot of bell bottom jeans type shoes up until now where the bottom flares out - there's a basegame pants and 9cd ult+aurora runaway pants (which are collab but ya know)

Ik this ain't relevant to anything rn, but I kinda wanna mention something about the prices for the permanent props. Sure, the props are permanent, but there's other non-permanent things that people will wind up focusing on OVER the props cause they won't stay forever, which means people will wind up saving their currency for stuff like ts or events rather than saving up for the props. And with the sheer amount of of props costing even MORE than a ts... it just causes there to be no point in wasting tons of currency on permanent props when you could spend it all on limited time things.

And honestly, it's looking like most, if not all cosmetics will be prop only this season. Candle runs can be fun but I think for a majority of players they've become a chore because of how unbalanced the game has been the more TS and events items but still no change in candle collecting, but then for those who don't need to collect candles constantly for events and ts runs can feel redundant, it's like tgc are trying to balance a coin because both sides need catered to they can't just place one's needs on top of the other

TBHQ I don't think I'm going to buy this season, from what I tested and seen. It's definitely got potential for a good season, but I think the community will generally dislike it due to the items being primarily nest based. I rarely use shared spaces and while I did enjoy decorating the nest, I'd rather just... wait a few seasons and use items that are inevitably put into following season passes.

Also I think the ult-gift would work better an end of the questline reward to purchase, since it seems to be quite a neat item and I feel like quite a few people will succumb to FOMO solely because of it and that feels quite predatory. (Sent this as feedback already)

I think that the cinnamoroll collab is meant to balance out the scarsity of cosmetics in the season, since it brings the total from 4 to 12 :0 which is almost as much as your regular season's average (16-18)

I know it's not something for everyone and it'll be more expensive overall than a season pass if you want everything from it, but I think it's nice that they're giving it to us now :D

I've published at least five shared space spells and the quest still reads 1/15. Do they all need to be in Aviary or something?

The shared shrine quest and most of the challenges are broken at the moment. All the spells have to be placed in one play session, likely because the game is currently unable to store/track progress related to these tasks. If you don't have the resources to do it all in one session, it would be best to wait until the next build or the issue is addressed.

Don’t know if this already has been answered, but, I’m new to shared spaces and don’t know what I’m doing. I have placed items, saved and now can’t change them or remove them. Am I doing something wrong?

if you're in your space you need to click the pencil icon to get into editing mode

If you are using a shared space spell, once you save/publish it you can no longer edit. With your nest and the design in the season shop you can edit after saving at the diamond. If you can’t edit items after you place them before you saved at all, you might be in one hand mode and clicking items to move them is currently bugged. You can move them by going into 2 hand mode

@craggy zephyr Hey! So to answer your question, the figure seems to be a prop that we can place and then it will copy our current cosmetics - I haven't unlocked it yet so I'm not sure if we click something for it to wear the cosmetics or if it just works immediately when we place it/get changed

I've not seen a figurine from the challenge board but I've seen one of the rewards after the look at 0/50 shared spaces which shouldn't be possible but I reported it - I can DM you about it though? If it counts as hacks?

I never finished any of the boards. The left one I’m on challenge 2 (15 shared spaces), middle one said challenge 3 is not available for some amount of hours, right one does allow me to see the third quest but I can’t collect it. Items are available after the 3rd challenge, but at least 2 of the 3rd challenge are not working last I checked.
