Had a nightmare that this demon was attacking children over the town by infecting them with some kinda virus that was like a purple ink that was like a tracker.

I went with a group of friends in an abandoned apartment while we played around, but the demon was there and started attacking us.

We all got out but that night when getting ready for bed, a friend was very sick and complained of pain in their chest. I went to look and they had been marked.
Their closet door was opened just a crack right behind them, that demons face poked out, attacked me but I woke up

It was a face covered with black ink, its eyes buldged with shadows under its eyes, and had these razor sharp teeth that buldged out of hits mouth and had a large smug grin.

||Thanks I appreciate the thoughts. The Fandom wiki refers to winged lights as Children of Light which is where I got that from. It's a fan wiki though, so I get that's something to take with a grain of salt. The wiki page does mention that "thatgamecompany has referred to these glowing children as 'Imprints of the Children of Light,'...", so maybe that's a more accurate name. I've interpreted that in the game, Winged Light does not refer to the glowing children themselves, but what you receive from them? The phrasing "Receive Winged Light" is what makes me think that way. It's a bit confusing though, because you can see the child being absorbed as you receive the Winged Light, so honestly, not entirely sure what my take would be.||

||In any case, I've also paid attention to how the glowing children longingly gaze towards the sky. It evokes this kind of melancholic feeling in me. As if they longed to get back up into the sky, perhaps to their former husks? The mission in Eden of delivering one Winged Light to each of the husks also feels supportive of that thought. Also, my interpretation has always been that what Ushering Stargazer saw fall was a winged light, but I totally see interpreting it as a Child of Light; after all, in the intro and after rebirth you can see how a falling Child of Light also resembles a shooting star||

Tbh sometimes I find Lore confusing as a chat because everyone has their own headcanons, which is fine. But when you're new it was more helpful to just find the pinned interviews and comments in game than to ask. Like I didn't know the Elders are technically Dawn, Day, Rain, Sunset, Dusk, Night, and Storm in canon had I not seen a dev talk and the wiki. Which I like better than names anyway.
Anyway, yeah it's confusing... but sometimes it helps that nor a ton is canon yet.

I will chime in to say that it does not function as a replacement for the mod-ping. We don't get alerts when it's used, and it's not a replacement for #contact-the-mods or the mod-ping if something's actually going on. However, an element of our server rules is to show respect to each other, and if repeatedly using an emoji is causing undue distress, it goes against server rules to keep going with it.

to be accurate, the OC I was mentioning wasn't actually a skykid OC, but a minecraft OC-- though, because he has wings, is connected to nature [plants], and emits light [glowberries], he can probably be a skykid as well.

I just can't really find a matching cape for him-- his wings are meant to be elaborate and woven from the various vines of glowberries, and there really isn't an intricate plant-tapestry-style cape that ever exists in sky, sooo...
