Androids 8's have been having issues for the past week, which I recommend bug reporting. Server issues could also cause that I guess? Servers are unstable so I wouldn't recommend playing
8's were having a crashing bug, there was a hotfix that didn't entirely fix it and brought other bugs, bug report it please

hi! I have android 8 and I still can't play well, every time I enter a map it takes me out of the game. Anyone know where you can ask for help to solve it? I have lost a lot of candles since February 25th :(

Unfortunately majority of android 8 users are still experiencing issues. As per #known-issues there was a hotfix for the crashing, but it didn't entirely fix it and brought other bugs. The only thing you can do is bug report it. Sorry:(
There have been a few players here experimenting and have found a couple of places with wax that are accessible to some. I'll try to find it for you

I know these aren't a lot but they're something^^ Especially village of dreams. From what I've read in here eden is entirely stable, and maybe the first area of valley? (Correct me if I'm wrong, saw someone say they were able to cr there)
In #news or #known-issues ? No, but a few hours after the hotfix, a TGC staff came in to ask to bug report if there are still issues with android 8. It's very likely that they're aware, but unfortunately other than that we have no other information and have to wait. I would highly recommend #live-feedback and #wishlist-and-ideas-archived . Chances of them listening are low but I still think they should hear your guys' thoughts about it. And please bug report if someone here hasn't yet

What are the specifics NEED for an android to a android bem compatible with Sky?
I went to see the vague specifications of sky compatibility on Google and they only said that you need to have a cell phone above android 9, 3g of RaM and 1G of available space, My LGK61 has these requirements and is still not compatible! Could explain to me why?

After checking Geekbench, I can confirm that the LG K61 (LM-Q630) is indeed 64-bit. Your issue may be either a glitch in Google Play or your are missing the proper graphics drivers. Like OpenGLES 3.1 or Vulkan
sorry if this is a dumb question bUuUt what is a Graphic driver? 
Graphics drivers is basically a set of instructions designed to tell your computer hardware how to display an image on your screen. Newer versions have more instructions to allow more complex graphics.
You can find out what versions of the graphics drivers you have installed with this application shown in the first screenshot.
The second screenshot shows you where the graphics driver versions are located.
Unfortunately you're not able to manually update your graphics drivers as you have to wait for your manufacturer to do so. Sadly LG is probably never going to update that phone as it is considered old now.
hello, i play on an android 8 and when i try to log into sky, the game has been crashing on the startup screen (it did this last night and today, i don't know if it's related to the android 8 crashing bug or not) but my phone has also been acting weirdly in general today, so is this a problem anyone else is having or is it probably just a problem with my phone?
That is actually a known issue and has been attempted to be fixed once before unsuccessfully. There are a lot of players running Android 8 that are currently unable to play due to this issue.
Simply put in a bug report so that the developers know the problem still exists
Helloo, I play on an android 9 and when i go into a realm, for example praire. Whenever i leave the social space or the beginning area in the realm, my screen freezes and crashes. I'm just here to ask if this is happening to anyone else. And if so, then is there a way to fix it?
Something kinda sus is that in the store where I bought it, they had it in showcase (Where customers can go there and test the cell phone) And when I went to test it, the sky was compatible! But when I bought it and got home, it appeared that it was no longer compatible

Are there any players who have compensated for Android Crash bugs?
I opened it and the information was that-
Is it incompatible with the Graphic drive or is it just a bug in play store??

sadly there isn't. The only thing they did is give random players a compensation
After all, it was just a random compensation 😭
Dont worry, they did not fixed the bug yet, would be weird to compensate us while the bug still going. Pretty sure they will compensate us soon after this is fixed
If the company is profiting from the players, I think the operating company should respond properly.
Your device should be compatible
There is a known issue with Google Play sometimes showing devices as not compatible when they really are. Give the following steps a shot:
-Force close all applications
-Pull down the notification bar on your Android device and hit the gear-shaped settings icon, or find “Settings” in the application tray.
-Navigate to Apps, or App Manager.
-Scroll down and find Google Play Store.
-Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data.
-Repeat steps for Google Play Games and Google Play Services
-Power your device completely down (do not hit the Restart button)
-Launch Google Play Store and try installing Sky

Hello, is there any other way i can screen record in game? Whenever i try to video with my own screen record in game, the sounds are not included and it becomes very laggy. When i try to video with the screen record in game, it immediately cuts short. 
this hasn't happened before in the earlier versions of the game
now it's just disappointing.
I usually take a video of the final season cutscene every season, so it kinda sucks if i miss this one just cause I can't screen record anymore

try to use some apps for screen recording I recommend Glip that's the app I used when I do some screen recording

I'm having an issue with emotes and stuff, if i try to sit down for acut scene or something where it gives me the option to sit, i have to spam it a bunch of times before it processes. but most times when i finally sit down, it stands me up again and the cutscene won't start.
I use a controller but the problem persists with it turned off. I'm on Android 9, on a Note 8

As a two-weeks-and-a-half old moth, my flight honestly sucks on the daily. but now i'm starting to get used to playing sky in reverse (camera turned towards me)... although this bug is really helping me practice my flight control, i just wish i didn't have to do the flying and walking around part like this.

If you want to do meditation, you need graveyard save point (nearby the gate that goes to battlefield, ask a friend to wait there so you can join them from the constellation).
Before you enter the gate make sure that you always face your screen to the left side and fly straight to the meditation. And if you are careful enough you can actually do Cr there as long as your screen doesn't face the spirit location at there

I can attest to the one where it shows people getting compensation who didn't need it. My girlfriend is running on the Google Pixel 4 XL which is on Android 12 and has not experienced crashing however she still received about 40 seasonal candles and a lot of regular candles and was able to finish the season before anyone else. Sooo

Have some extra candles that I don't remember getting, especially since I barely cr these days. I also know someone else who has android 11 and has received a compensation. It's definitely really messy and I highly recommend expressing that in #live-feedback and/or #wishlist-and-ideas-archived (preferably live feedback) as without letting them know, they probably won't know that they've been giving compensations to the wrong players

Ah wait, did you ask for a compensation? Have you told them you didn't get anything despite being android 8 and were affected?
Miscommunication can easily happen and it's important to let them know exactly what you need/want
If you only said "Hey, not everyone got a compensation, why?" Or anything along the lines, it would look like you're just curious about it

Ahh, no, it doesn't. Which is why it's important to #live-feedback and #wishlist-and-ideas-archived (live feedback preferably) about this. If you scroll through discord, plenty of android 8's were compensated. There were quite a few in qna that were confused with extra candles. And non android 8 players also got compensated, who weren't affected, including me, a few people I know and a quote a few other people in this server. The compensation was announced in patchnotes

How many candles did you got from it, did you noticed?

I got around 40 regular candles, not sure if I got any trail spells as it was mentioned since I don't count my spells
Some others have gotten extra sc and up to 70 or so candles. The number seems to vary and be kinda random, which is weird but not surprising since TGC never had a good history with compensations 💀

Hello! Can anyone tell me if there's a way to get rid of the occasional lag? Sometimes when I'm playing, the game starts lagging randomly or the controls just stop working altogether, so it's hard to fly or even walk around. Is there any way to boost the game or make it run smoothly? I checked my storage and stuff and there's no problem running other games, so I'm sure that's not the issue 
Send an equal amount of candles to everyone to avoid creating more problems:

The game is getting heavier in terms of graphics and storage, so Sky 2 years ago will be different to now, all devices are bound to start experiencing lag, and eventually it'll get too much and it won't be able to run it anymore. You can try lowering graphics, clear cache (not data) and restart your device

Not @ anyone specifically since people have pinged devs before, but note that pinging a dev or two and telling them to fix it will.. do nothing. For all we know you could be pinging an artist telling them to fix something that has nothing to do with them💀 They're people with an actual job, it's not okay to @ them and demanding them to do something. An individual Dev can do absolutely nothing about the game's issues, it's the team as a whole and the person that manages everything, who may not even be in this server

The only thing you can do right now is bug report, and I highly suggest #live-feedback to ask for further compensations as the compensation mentioned in the screenshot above didn't reach the right players

oh yeah, for android 8 players if you can, try to have a friend warp you to grandma's table every odd/even number :30!! since we cant get candles, its a good measure to accumulate wax. i believe granny comes every two hours after reset (?). If your reset is at an odd number (like 3pm), she comes between 5:30, 7:30, 9:30, etc. if your reset is at an even number (mine is at 4pm), she comes every 6:30, 8:30, 10:30, etc.
No need to worry about camera angles or crashing because it's the one place that works completely fine. 💗

After your first visit, you'll have a checkpoint at Grandma's so you don't need someone everytime unless you attempt at going to a different realm

Grandma is okay to idle at for 10 minutes, hotspring for long periods of time is not so okay
It's been here since 25th of February I believe. The whole thing is quite messy so no one is sure. There was a hotfix that didn't entirely fix it and brought new bugs for Android 8's, there were also compensations that were given to the wrong people, which were a random amount of candles and no one got the exact same compensation despite not being able to play for the exact same period of time. Would bug report it and highly recommend #live-feedback (can do #wishlist-and-ideas-archived afterwards as well)

A friend has an Android that should be compatible with Sky but for some reason, after resetting google play data along with the rest, it still is labeled as incompatible. Teleport to a friend that's in the map where the quest is at.
Make sure to turn your camera angle to the ground or sky immediately as you get there, so that there won't be any chance of a spirit getting in your sight that cause your game to crash.
With your camera angle stay to the ground or sky and avoiding any spirit to get in the way, you will be able to move around freely to do some of the quests.
(Not sure if the spirits are the reason that cause this, but mine would crash every time when there's a spirit in my sight ><)
As for the nodding spirit, you will need a friend to do it for you.
You just have to stay near but out of the path and keep your camera angle safe.
Your friend will warp to you(when your friend hold your hand, you will get to see the progress icon too) before their last touch of the spirit, then quickly go back to the spirit to finish it.
I'm not good at explaining in english, but hope this would make sense and help a little ><

From my experience, if you give it a while (a day or two) it should spawn you in home instead. To prevent the same thing from happening in the future, make sure to warp back home before closing the game. This is just how my game works tho, idk if it's the same for everyone

Strange, in a lot of these cases people aren't owning more than one account. I don't have any alts. For the most part it's random accounts getting picked, but owning alts can affect that I guess, since you're not meant to own multiple accounts anyway, depends on what you use them for

I tell you, there was an awfull bug in the past that some players crashed due to texture problems and then, step by step, TGC fixed it. I know this bug is worse but I trust TGC and they will fix this

Teleport to a friend in the 4th floor, and skip the animations without making any other moves. This might need to try a few times, but as soon as you successfully get to the map without crashing immediately, you will be able to do the quest.
1.You just need to stay in the map and don't move or turn your camera.
2.Friend do the spirit till the last touch.
3.Friend warp to you or fly to hold your hand.(You will get the spirit progressing icon when your friend hold your hand)
4.Friend let go your hand and go back to finish with the last touch of the spirit.
5.You will be done with the quest too ٩(๑•ㅂ•)۶✨
Make sure your friend warp to you just before the last touch. Cuz if they warp to you in the first few touchs, then the spirit will make your camera spinning as the progress goes and then take down your phone ><

As for the purple light, just turn your camera angle to the ground (so that you can avoid any spirit from getting in your sight that which might cause the crashing) while you move around. Then you will be able to get it with or without a friend's help :)

last week the game crashing is on the home screen
now this week when we users go to different places it crashes instantly
2 weeks now that i havent done a proper run nor was able to purched y items

Reinstalling sky won't reset settings in developer options.
Those settings are Android app developers used for debug their apps. As a end user, you should not change anything there.
So nothing has been fixed yet

hiii im not very knowledgeable about this but maybe returning your developer options to default settings might help. i think sky is not the issue. It might be the changes you made so for safety precautions, try to reactivate your developer options again and return it to its previous settings. ^^ other than that, i dont know what else to do 😅
UI is normally handled by the CPU. Forcing GPU rendering would cause more stress on an already stressed out GPU running the Vulkan API requests.
Is anyone else having server issues? It's all good and fine until I start lighting candles. If I try lighting one, I get error messages. It could just be my connection even tho it's good, but considering Sky has been having server issues recently, i was curious if anyone is having the same problem as me

nope. log in goes fine, i can go into realms, light spirits, play instruments, use spells... i just cant light candles and the servers are empty

I did contact with tgc support and live feedback but nothing happend and nothing changed and i didn't get my compensation
You will not get a response from #live-feedback- it’s a dropbox channel only, but they do read it everyday. Support might be able to help you, but it takes a few days for them to come back to you, and I’d suspect they have a long waiting list for tickets atm
As far as updates. It seems they are still looking for a fix. Unfortunately, game development is often complicated and what might seem like an easy fix isn’t- I can assure you TGC is upset about this perhaps as much as you are, like any company would be about their game being unplayable. I’m not a developer, but perhaps it’s worth considering if they’ll figure out other steps once the fix in place? You just have to be patient for now sadly

This is something one of the Staff members have said about the issue a few days ago:
Unfortunately, all I can say is that we're looking into it. When we rolled out the hotfix, we hoped it'd solve the issue for Android 8 players, but it's clear it only partially did. We're aware that many players (on a per device basis) are experiencing issues in different parts of the game due to rendering issues.
