Not really. They are usually flagships so they will run Sky smoothly but their main disadvantage is battery life. They are medicore in that regard with normal usage and with Sky you'll be always tied to a charger so that is worth to think about

Android is completely different from iOS, it has strict limitations. As Uzephi wonderfully explained iOS handles multiple layers but Android is strictly handling everything in "sandbox", one layer. Therefore it's not a missing Sky feature, it's an unfortunate limitation of Android itself. Maybe in the future droid will be more forgiving and flexible in a far future update.

It's because Sky is a demanding game and 60fps works mostly with flagship GPUs (not CPU, not ram), your phone is not strong enough for faster fps (which makes the battery adiós by the way for all devices)

Nope, no Xiaomi mi 10t with 4GB of ram. Minimum is 6GB with an 8GB model also. Newer phones also need to be added to the database they cross reference for 60 fps mode.

It's a blessing sometimes 🤭 Samsung once had a mode to AI add in more frames and I used to get frames in the 40s once but now the option is missing from game booster and I get frames below 30 most of the time. Aha there's you're issue, custom ROMs don't work for sky, from what I have understood Custom ROMs don't pas CTS and the workarounds for that doesn't work for sky either. So you have to just use the stock UI.

As per Samsungs, midrange models experienced lot of crashes recently, higher range models run Sky smoothly.

No I haven't noticed lag. It's OK on battery saver mode and very smooth already at 30fps. Maybe you use a custom ROM or a hungry third party app? I have no idea. Pixel5 should run Sky at 60fps without frame drops.

Sky doesn't depend on ram exclusively. If play store says your device is not compatible, then there's nothing to do.
Sky needs a 64 bit device with decent GPU. I think your device is only 32bit. very common amongst midrange/budget Samsungs

The hardware components separately may able to handle yes, but the way this all was put together by Samsung, it's 32bit only. Adreno 504 is quite weak btw, would have serious lags even if it was 64bit. But now it's 32bit.

Not sure if I'm late to the party but for people who are being led by someone and is playing on decent devices and have experienced random lockups and crashing when going through portals particularly in the forest... I think it has to do with the way it's having all devices loaded the same speed... I have various devices compatible with sky that can load between the realms at various speeds I have a couple of s 20s and a note 20 that can load into the realms near instant... I have an LG Stylo 6 and the Switch that take their sweet time. IF the switch or the LG is leading a group everyone in that group takes just as long to load. But... If one of the members is being carried on the shoulders of someone connected to the one who's leading they will load in significantly faster than the leader and be waiting for everyone else to follow behind this is also a way to alleviate the lock up that happens for some devices. I believe there is an issue with some devices and this waiting thing. I don't think the devices are fully locking up but rather is not getting the feedback that it's looking for in order to "finish" loading. This particular issue has been plaguing my mom's phone for a while and we've had to fix the issue by just carrying her on our shoulders rather than just holding her hand, because otherwise she would crash in the same spots every time. She doesn't crash if she goes through the doorways alone or if she's the leader. And she also doesn't crash when she's piggybacking on someone else. But she does crash if she's holding hands with the group.

There's no such a thing. The Linux kernel comes with CPU governors that take care of thermal control. They will bring down the CPU clock speed if the phone gets too hot

But if you want some tips and tricks to cool down your phone, here are some ideas:
Avoid playing with maximum brightness at all costs, especially if you are in a hot climate environment or hot season. LCD or OLED screen, it doesn't matter, your phone will get very hot even with light usage if you happen to use your screen brightness at Max at all times.
Avoid playing during daytime when it's hotter, phones have no active cooling components, they basically rely on irradiating heat to the environment, so if the room temperature is colder, your phone will be able to run colder, the CPU governor won't need to bring down the clock speeds and your phone will run closer to top performance.

I've had a redmi Note 8 that has a similar processor to the Moto G8 power. I don't recommend that, performance is rather slow although the phone is really power saving.

However if you really can't afford anything higher than that, you can still play at the lowest settings and get decent performance.

However here's my advice: the Moto G8 power screen has rather poor touch screen sensitivity response: it will only update your fingers position on the screen 120 times a second, that's just double the refresh rate. By the time you put a finger on the screen, it will take about 24 milliseconds to start reacting.

Now the redmi Note 8 has 180 Hertz touch screen sampling rate, it oscillates a little bit depending how fast you move your finger through the screen, but it averages around that value.
Screen refresh rate is 60 hertz, if you take a thousand milliseconds split by 60 you'll get 16.60 milliseconds.
1000 milliseconds by 180 is equal to 5.55 milliseconds, so it means that usually in this phone, the screen will react to your touch right in the next frame after the interaction, that is 16 milliseconds.

And when it comes to fast paced gaming, every millisecond counts.

go into the google play games app (note that this is an entirely different app from google play store), click the 3 dots at the top right corner, click settings, find the setting that says "sign into games with this account", and press the toggle so that it is in the off position. now when you go to switch accounts in google accounts it will no longer automatically sign in and you can switch accounts as freely and easily as ios can.

This will happen eventually. If you keep your phone for very long time. Developer are usually support maximum possible android versions to support most devices on the market. It's defined inside root>app>src>build.gradle minSdkVersion which is at this moment 16 (android 4.1 I guess) recommended, but developer can bump that for any reason, like some api just don't work with legacy versions. Also supporting legacy versions mean they have to test for all them. Not to mention there are 10,000 variants of android phones with different flavours. It's too complicated and pain to support all them. Also for some reason some day (which I doubt will ever happen) if android start to update like iOS and majority device gets latest version then developer will definitely most likely to support lastest version maybe one or two legacy versions. You don't to need to worry about that this reason.

Last optimization they made to give updated Vulkan renderer calls crashed the game for some phones and caused black screen. I would assume until Android stops being so segmented, not much can be done for optimizations.

Top right should have a "Skip" option. If you're using Xbox controller it's RB. I assume PS controllers would be R1.

You can't skip a cut scene you haven't seen before, though. You have to see it once, unless that's changed.

Some cut scenes are multiple skip, like the one's at the end temples. Elder cutscene, door opening cut scene, constellation cut scene, like in forest's end temple you have to skip thrice. Edit: And even then, you have to wait a bit.

Well it does have a decent GPU and so it should record well but if it has stutters in between, try closing all background apps and if you have a built in game booster, try exploring it, may never know what you could find in there

I have heard it's bugged a bit with several Facebook accounts. Don't try to switch only, sign out first with your Facebook accounts from Sky

(Also make sure to abandon the secondary Account if your accounts are friends because that's against Terms of service and Sky can ban both)

Its vulkan graphics renderer is sloppy and poorly optimized. I recommend another device.
Try to remove apps-over apps (for example messenger bubbles) and resource hungry background apps like Facebook and voice chat

Also for side note, Honkai and CODM are unity and PUBGM is Unreal engine. Both are from company that already export 32bit and 64bit version of engine. Do note that poco x3 and poco x3 pro are different. The one in the 60fps list is poco x3 pro. However the poco x3 should be compatible for sky, just not as strong as the pro version.
