Android has a huge range of types of devices with different specs, and as such if you use a weaker phone, it will ofc not handle an intensive game like sky well, like it won't be able to handle other intensive games' graphics well either. iOS being more consistent in the model types, it is easier to adapt a game that will also be more consistent graphic wise for that.

@fast hearth they removed the quality to my Galaxy S10+ which can handle high capacity gaming and at the start of launch the graphics were immaculate at max settings now a days the quality has been dropped so don't jump to conclusions saying they didn't remove anything because I've been on every update since I started in late April.

I can't record a video, it's telling me to log into my google account through settings, but I am logged in through settings

The recording software that it connects to is different from inside the game. It uses some sort of google games extension video recording software that you need to log into specifically. Basically, sky on iOS uses its own(?) recording software that records below the UI (icons and text), while sky on Andriod uses the external google software.

@fast hearth Do you have your graphics on 30fps or 60fps? If you lower your quality to "low resolution", the quality with no lightning bolts in the settings, it should run smoother.
If its not this and youre still having issues, try checking if you have other apps running, alongside background app usage, and your internet connection. Also, apps above the game might create lag too

There is a huge political argument between the US and China. The US has banned China companies from accessing United States brands including Qualcomm and Google. For this reason Huawei devices are not capable of using Qualcomm chipsets or Google services because of said ban. hi! i wanted to report something, i just bought the new xiaomi poco x3 NFC and it totally think sky needs optimization! the phone should run the best graphics and should handle the game without problem but it only lets me use the medium settings, and the phone starts to heat a lot after a few minutes!! the battery of the phone is 5000mh and the game sucks all the energy, and it only happens with the game, i hope this can be fixed

The A20 is at the bottom of the compatibility list. You will not be able to avoid lag... But to ensure the best performance make sure that there is next to nothing running in the background. I know from experience how well the A20 plays (Is my current phone). There are a couple of settings in the developers options labeled "Do not keep activities" and "Background Processes". Set these as needed, but put back to normal when your done as they can prevent notifications.

I don't think the device is the issue here, Ari. When you do the thing at the end of spooky red place and go up into space, any spirits that you've ascended will give you one extra wing when you plop back down to home. You then have to go collect the winged lights again and that adds up. There are definitely winged lights in areas you wouldn't really go to normally, so it is likely that you haven't found a few of them because of the fact that they aren't in easy places to reach or are really out of the way. I'm still finding ones that I didn't know of before to this day. @elfin radish

hi, I need some help fixing the connection issues I'm having when opening the Sky App. It tells me to check my internet connection yet my internet's doing fine as always. At some point I thought it was. a server issue but others seem to be doing fine so I went on and tried the following:

• Reopening the App
• Clearing the App's Cache
• Reconnecting to WiFi
• Reinstalling the App
• Rebooting my phone
• Restarting my modem
• Tapping the "try again" option for reconnecting for numerous times

Still, the the problem was there. It lets me see the opening animation then loads up to near the end but stops right there and pops the connection issue warning.

I've also tried clearing the app's storage which also wiped my account. funny enough, it worked but as a new moth. I linked it to my account and the problem came back. I tried doing the same process again but this time, did not work. please help.

Hi, I have a dear friend who has experienced this exact issue. we tried everything you suggested and none of it seems to have worked. However, one thing did. I used my phone to log into her account and signed in without issue and was able to walk around and do things. So we factory reset her phone and then she was able to log in again. I'm not saying that there is not a method that could do it without a wipe. But a factory reset of your phone should fix your problem. But please do this at your own risk because any unsaved data will be lost forever.

Go to your 2nd account in Google Play (not Play Store). Then tap the three dots in the top right and tap on settings. Under Profile and Privacy, switch off the first two options. Do the same but switch on the first two options in your 1st account in which you want to purchase and then try going into the game @fast hearth

Not all Android phones are created equal. Unfortunately there are some Android phones available that are compatible with sky that may not be fully powerful enough to run it smoothly.

That particular phone is not quite strong enough to run it 100% smooth. However, there are things you could do to try to improve the performance.

One method is to ensure that background applications are not taking up precious CPU cycles. You can do this by enabling "do not keep activities" in the developers menu.

Thanks, but I've played the sky game on many newer models of androids, but there's always a problem. I don't think the sky game is very suitable for androids because they are weaker than ios.

There is a misconception there. the hardware physically in the most powerful of android devices are no weaker than the ones in iOS. The difference is there are fewer iOS devices so optimizations are easier to make.

I have actually played sky on the most powerful Android device in the world. And it plays the game 100% perfectly.

Unfortunately, that message will remain on the device until TGC determines the device is powerful enough to run it smooth. The likelihood of that happening is low. If your device does not meet the minimum requirements then it simply doesn't meet the minimum requirements.

The best you can do is hope that they increase optimizations for Android or buy a stronger phone.

If you're struggling for performance, these two settings will be your best friend.

Be sure to set them back to default when you're done though, because they can prevent notifications.

However, do not think iOS devices are exempt from lag. I had a friend who had the iPhone 6 and was struggling for performance. The lag was enough that she almost wanted to quit.

Keep in mind, weaker Android devices were created for smaller budgets.

Though, in my personal opinion, if I had to choose which platform to play sky on. I would probably choose iOS. Simply because sky is more stable there.

It’s on the cliff at the side, the easiest way to get there is to slow down before the cutscene and have your character stay still or walk to either side, then head over rather than fly from the bottom (which is still possible, just takes more work)
