I actually love Traveler, not as a replacement to the original music, but for what I think it really is: a celebration of the game, and potentially a love letter to it. Wintory loves Journey, as it kickstarted his career, and up until recently, was doing Journey Live concerts. (...Which I didn't know about and wished I could have seen in person.) Traveler is far less exotic-sounding, but DOES sound like what you'd hear in a typical orchestra... Which makes me really hope he's planning on doing more Journey concerts.

For the 10th anniversary, Matt Nava made a long series of posts with concept art and insight on the process. Austin Wintory turned in his book report a second time, reworded and in cursive. (Seriously, still amazes me!) Jenova Chen said he had something in mind, but aside from posting a community-made video, was there anything else? I pray he's implying interest in a Season of Journey. 🙏

Though I wonder if they'll go for it. I know some creators "don't like thinking about their past creations" and try keep Sky lore and Journey lore separate. They've already said that Journey is a different thing altogether from Sky, and if they make a Journey season, fans would jump into Sky x Journey lore so hard.

I know Jenova Chen said that their next project after Sky would tie everything together. ...What does that mean? A shared universe? Or something else? Whatever it is, TGC would need rights to flOw, Flower and Journey, I'd think. Recently TGC got a donation from a person formerly from Pixar. Makes me wonder how much rights would cost...

Regarding similar cosmetics, the Mellow Musician and the Peeking Postman capes certainly share similarities.

Yeah, the second half does a fantastic job of feeling tense! The color theory is also top notch with just enough color variation to feel like it's not monochromatic, but still feel dark, cold and ominous.

War Machines are in some ways more dangerous than krill and some ways less. They tend to travel in more set paths (due to programming). However, unlike krill, they have object permanence, so once you're spotted, there's no hiding. They'll destroy pillars and tunnels to get at you! ...However, whereas entering Eden with few winged lights is a huge detriment, you can finish Journey with no scarf at all with only mildly increased difficulty. Very different approach in Journey that I found more ultimately satisfying.

Also, whereas krill are creepy and twitchy, War Machines are imposing but graceful.

Journey will give you a fascinating existensial crisis

In FLOWER you control a breeze of air. You have to flow the Air breeze over some flowers to bloom them and collect petals. Bloom a certain amount of flowers to make once dull landscape to green again. The more flowers you bloom the more petals you collect, thus creating a long petal trail.

In JOURNEY you have to traverse through a huge Desert to reach the Shiny Mountaintop in the distance. You can run, slide and jump (jump is automatic). You can also collect glyphs around the world to lengthen your scarf (similar to collecting wl) and float in the air by using scarf power. The more glyphs you collect the longer you will be able to float in air.

I know that flower is in the Apple game app, it also is probably in android game app. Flow is harder to find, I think you have to go to Jenova Chen’s site and find how to get to it there. Flower is a very unique game❣️👍

Everything in this game is so journey like! Mountain as a end goal, story, capes, valley's races, singing.... First time I saw trailer of this game I was super mad because I thought it was journey rip off Then I saw thatgamecompany had made this and it made sense. This feels like more social journey. It truly is a great game! One of my all time favorites. There is very special feeling when you can only communicate with singing and manage to reach an end with someone you'll never meet again

Journey is on sale all the time. Wait for that and you should get it fairly cheap. Many times it comes in a pack with flower and that's fun game too.

I was super lucky when I did Journey last year. I ran into another veteran who did Journey all the way through and even showed me a shortcut. In a way, it was special how we spoke just using calls and movements with no way to unlock chat.

About three times I have run into random Journey players who have showed me OOB there. Some of them took cooperation with cape recharging.

Yeah I know, it happens. Sometimes the person needs to take a short break for some reason, and if you wait, say a couple of minutes, they may come back to same spot. Or, sometimes they unavoidably must leave. Whenever I have had to leave someone I just met I feel terrible and only with I could explain why. But, that’s part of the game. ♥️
