It is my understanding that the Android and iOS clients connect to the same server/s. I have no idea if this is Android specific, but I have experienced server desynchronization. There have been times when either I or my friend would crash or have to DC for some reason and not be able to come back to the other because we desynchronize before were able to meet up. One notable example is the hidden area under the stomp door. If a friend or I is in that area, we're not able to get to the other person. I don't know if this issue has been looked at or fixed. But it happened to me today. I'm not a hundred percent sure it's a bug.

@fast hearth, TGC is always working on optimisation, making improvements with every update! keep in mind, many devices simply aren't powerful enough to run sky super smoothly, no matter how much they optimise. hopefully in future updates you can have a smoother experience!

What i think it is, it's a rendering issue, probably the scene that my phone it's trying to load is too much and it force crashes the app.
That also happens in other maps, but i avoid lag spikes/crashes by not looking upwards in certain places.
Imma' try the friend thing tho, haven't tried that one.

OMG, what on Earth did the devs do to the game... My mid / low end phone is performing twice as good as it usually does. Namely in the Hidden Forest. There still lag, but that's to be expected, and far less of it.
I seriously doubt my phone simply became more powerful.

What I fail to understand is why do more powerful devices have an opposite effect? One would think more power is better right. Optimizations that help lower end devices would also help the higher end devices. I actually think I may know the answer... Higher end devices, simply because they're stronger, are given a bigger workload. I do believe if a high-end device was doing the same work that the low end device was doing it would be running smooth. I have seen the difference in power between low-end and high-end. The two benchmark scores (3dmark) that my devices have are 800 & 3500. Yet somehow they perform similarly.

I have 2 questions and I hope someone can shed a light or share my pain:
1st: Does it happen to you when you lit your friends stars to come back to your friends constellation and see that some of them have not been lit, even if you are 100% sure that you have. Sometimes I end up litting the same friends star 3-4 times until its stops happening. 
2nd: Do you have trouble finding your friends candle nodes at the shrines, I keep refreshing and within 10 minutes there will be no candles left at the shrines and 95% of them will be anonymous and I know for a fact that my friends have posted notes there as we try and help each other but I am just unable to find and am left with no candles apart from mine at the shrine.
Hope my explanations make sense and is anyone else experiencing such issues?

There was an update. If you have all the levels downloaded, it just re-downloads everthing at once when you update. If you don't have all the levels unlocked, it does it in-game

The asset downloads system spilts into essentially two states. Sky completed, and Sky in progress.
With a complete install of Sky, with all the levels, it just does it through Google Play.
When someone is still finishing Sky for the first time, like in your case, it handles it in-game

Hello, i"m having some trouble buying the wing buffs. As you can see, for this one wing buff I need two ascended candles of which I've got three, but when I tap on it nothing happens. One candle flies into the counter thingie under the wing buff but then it flies back to the up left corner. This has happened to me both after the ending scene of eye of eden (when the circle with all the buyable options is, just to be clear) and when I'm at home. Is it a bug or something?
Also the same has happened for the hair. I've tried it trying to buy a hairstyle and the same thing happened

trying to go through sky is kind of terrible when you're chibi
every candle run i fall through the floor at least 3 times
and usually in places where the ground seems completely solid
so presumably the issue isn't that the floor triangles are wonky
it's that the chibis somehow build up speed so much that sometimes they gain enough momentum to fall right through the floor

Shorter players don’t move faster. All player sizes are kept to the same speed, but smaller characters’ legs have to move faster to match that speed. It’s the opposite where larger characters’ legs have to move slower to match the set speed

@faint kayak, players are able to do that by going out of bounds (OOB), using clever tricks or glitches to get into the area where the guardian (elder) cutscenes take place!
if you manage to get into the area, it can seem a little strange, since we're not exactly supposed to get in 
the guardian will be frozen in place, so they won't move, but you can take lots of fun photos

@glossy trench Unfortunately there isn't much that can be done aside from waiting for future updates to optimize the game. In the meantime, you can try quitting background apps as you play sky. And if available you could always switch to developer mode on your phone and tweak rendering settings

@cosmic dune Sadly this is a common issue. The only thing we can recommend is that your friend first check that they have at least 3gb of free space available. Then uninstall and re-install the app. Also make sure that they have a stable internet connection when downloading the app

@dry rain it happens to me too, i have a galaxy A50 and ~70gb free. it didn't happen before, byt started happening a lot this week. specially when I'm in the graveyard area in wastelands, or in that 2 player door area in vault. it's super laggy there

I also had that issue some time ago @iron kelp. Whenever that happens try restarting the game, it helped me in my case.
If you are playing with friends, make sure they also restart.

I did some heavy research just to find out whether or not it was possible that one day it might play the game. It looks like it may never.

I have seen that exact graphic glitch before. It is very easy to fix. See which setting your graphics setting is on. Tap on it until it cycles all the way back around. It should actually be fixed on the first tap.

3DS emulation stutters since there's no shader cache yet though
but after it compiles a certain shader it doesn't stutter on that specific shader for the rest of that play session

Most of my suggestions for fixes come from experience. So I need to experience them in order to find the fix for them. I've experienced several graphic glitches, every single one of them was fixable by adjusting the graphics settings.
I also heard rumor, not saying that it's true, that you can increase your chances of succeeding in the wasteland by saying something in chat before going through the door. I have no idea how this would affect your chances. But technology can be weird sometimes.

It does boost your chances of surpassing black screen, yes. I've tried forging candles just as I pass through in an attempt to push the game forward. It's worked a few times, but is by no means 100% successful.

I dont think there's a problem with your linked account. The chat bug appears to be a persistent thing for you, so I recommend submitting a bug report, or contacting support in-game

Right so the first thing you need to do is sign out of your linked account in-game
Then uninstall, make sure the google account you've linked your sky account to isn't first on the list on your phone, then reinstall.
Sky should not auto-detect your google acc then
