OnePlus 7 is great phone but also a buggy one when it comes to Vulkan (it's the graphics renderer Sky very much relies on because of its own graphics engine - so never compare it to other games)
As told, report as a bug and hope the best
One more idea: try to check graphics settings in Sky, battery saver mode is indeed blurry a bit, adjusting can help if the phone's Vulkan is not having issues with Sky

If you've made a purchase in Sky, you should have some sort purchase receipt or proof of it in your email and in whatever you used to purchase it. A purchase receipt can be used to recover your account, that's why I'm asking^^

Socan Android 8 update Sky? I tried thrice today and everything seems to work at 1st (I didn't get a pop-up saying I need more space, it downloaded the update fine) but then when came time to actually install the update, I got a pop-up saying it's impossible to install. No details or anything, just straight up saying it couldn't install. I have 2.9gb of storage available and my phone's a Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 running on Android 8.0.0 (which is compatible when I look in the Play store). I asked about this in #questions-and-help cause I forgot this thread here exists lol. I have been told that for some having 5gb available worked? But I know I can't free up that much space on my phone, I already moved everything I could to my sd card and deleted everything I don't need, and 2.9gb is the best I could muster. So is this just a known issue with a fix for Android 8 or am I screwed? Thanks!

Your currency is based on your Google account localization and even if you could change currency the candle pack won't be cheaper: you can't (and shouldn't) avoid your country's tax. Experimenting with unlinking can only make your account tangled in a way you can't fix

Yeah there's nothing that can be done. If you don't see them, then unfortunately they're not on your constellation and there's nothing that you or we can do. You can #report-a-live-bug to let TGC know of the possible bug but it can't be fixed

Active internet connection, wifi signal and assuming strength are not enough unfortunately for a live game like Sky. It matters how strong the connection until your WiFi router is by your ISP. Here are methods how to measure your connection for ping speed and package dropouts to check whether is it really working fine:

Vietnam is enforcing China-like rules about gaming. And since Sky doesn't have a sub-developer yet that is what I know for Vietnam (Like China with Netease that manages China Servers). So the Sky won't be at the store for some time.

The icon changes doesn't have anything to do with the in-game updates just an fyi. The icon changes are sometimes delayed because of play store and whatever store ios use for some reason I forgot the name of it help and again they can get updated without an in-game update

From what I’ve seen samsung galaxy a13 running 32bit OS so you can’t install Sky there. Need to use other device with 64bit

I would add the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE / 12 Lite as well. The 778G is not that far off the 860 (its CPU is actually a little bit better than the 860), and you'll get far better efficiency and heat management. Oh and they have better cameras, display quality and design than other performance/buck focused phones

One downside to Xiaomi / POCO phones is MIUI, which still has somewhat mediocre battery management, is full of bloatware & ads on a clean install, and is not exactly the cleanest Android skin. Got my 11 Lite 5G NE 2 months ago and immediately unlocked the bootloader and flashed PixelOS lol (forget about custom firmware on Mediatek phones btw)

• as told countless times, genshin comparison is a very bad comparison because of several trivial reasons, you can read back or use discord search function to know more

Make sure their device has Google Play Services pre-installed by default (Most phones except Huawei will) and make sure they install "Google Play Games" if it's not pre-installed.

To be honest, Controller support for Android Sky is very bare bone. When you want to chat, you need to use a Bluetooth keyboard or use the on-screen keyboard. (Which probably was android's fault not supporting Controller Keyboard typing support). And there's no indication X,Y,B,A (for xbox at least) do what, or something like a manual that you can see on switch, so yeah. Play Sky on Screen controller was better than using controller.

I can tell you the Switch version and Android version are completely different. The Android version still has backwards compatibility for Vulkan 1.0.3. (to keep compatibility with Android 8.0) Switch and iOS has Vulkan 1.1.x on all their devices, so TGC can have those two platforms use better, more efficient graphics calls that aren't in Vulkan 1.0.3. Switch is also one type of hardware and software. (Horizon OS and the Tegra X1 chipset) Android has a different chipset and OEM version of the OS complicating the build to work smoothly on all vairants. Hell, even iOS has less possible combinations of devices than the vast sea of Androids.

Device types are not the same thing as OS version and graphics capabilities.

AFAIK the newer oppo devices run Android 12, but they also run on a custom version of Android.

The most important things other than the actual version of Android are the GPU chip, and the Vulkan API version.

Android is horrifically complex because of the huge number of hardware and software configurations available, so it's very difficult for the community to answer specific questions unless someone actually owns a specific device and has experience with how Sky works on that device.

There are some general specs in the pins of this channel, but they are very outdated.

People can root their devices, and they can do anything they want to which is contrary to the TGC TOS.

Personally I couldn't care less if someone wants to root their device, or create 20 alt accounts. It's none of my business, and the risk is all theirs.

If people want to root their devices then at least they should understand that TGC has expressly stated that they will not be able to provide customer support.

If people lose their IAP's after a root upgrade of the OS, then that's their own problem and TGC won't assist them.

TGC might not detect a rooted device generally, but they will be able to recognise if a device is rooted when a customer support ticket is submitted.

Rooted devices are unsupported, that is the point I'm trying to make in this comment. If they have rooted their devices and the game no longer works then they can't complain about it.

If 60 fps is not enabled, then that means the game checked your device's GPU score and either: A didn't have one or B didn't make the cut to have 60 fps unlocked. Looking at your device's specs, the Mali G76 MC4 isn't powerful enough to keep frame rate for Sky above 30 fps to unlock 60

The specs websites show are the capabilities of the hardware, not the software Samsung has installed.

The A13 has a 64 bit chip, but it's running in 32 bit mode.

Usually, what I do is check Geekbench. Sadly v5 doesn't show bit depth, but older versions do, like v4, but those benchmarks stopped being logged back in April due to it being old/outdated. (So checking any device benchmarked after April 2022 won't show an easy way to see bit depth)

With Android, steer clear of Samsung and Motorola/Lenovo when buying budget phones. (Many others also, but those are the main two that do this) if it isn't their "flagship" for that year, they have a history of cutting costs at the expense of the user. It might be better to get refurbished or lightly used previous year model flagships over a budget device if you're looking to play Sky on it.

Because of recession like conditions in Europe, the Euro has started losing its value against dollar, so apple is bound to make increment in prices and regarding other countries which don't use Euro are still being affected because of the global geopolitical conditions thus their currency is also losing its value against dollar . To keep the prices equal during conversion from one country to other is quite hard as not every currency is 1:1 in terms of value . As a normal guess i think to keep the prices fair for everyone from both platform perspectives they had to increase the price. TGC is still a company so there's a possibility of different thoughts behind decision

It's not laziness, it's time saving. Building a 64 bit OS and kernel takes quadruple the build time. Let's say your 32 bit OS builds normally take 45 minutes to complete. That would mean a 64 bit OS build would take around 3hrs to complete. That's a big time difference to lock a build box out on a budget device, when you have a flagship update build waiting on que.

Then compound the time for each test build made before the final release build.

Okay so I have a kinda important question for switching devices. I'm going from IOS to Andriod and using the Google play account to log in, but on the current andriod device I already have an account logged in, and everytime I go to press switch to switch the account it won't let me and just keeps popping up the same thing. Hello, I am having trouble logging back into my account.

I think I accidentally linked this account. But I know my prior account was linked. So did it like override it?

Google play games tends to automatically log you in into games with a specific email but you can change it by doing the above

There is a cap on the amount of candles you can forge during any reset period. The max is about 20/21 candles per day, after which your candle meter turns grey and you can't forge any more until the next reset. It's not a bug, it's a limitation..

It does not allow me to log in, from within the game gives me error, but does not allow me to put username and password, it is as if I could not access google, and on the home screen qda a few seconds on hold and then asks me back to start method

I don't know if it's related but when I rebooted I had the previous version of the game and now I installed the update.

If your Sky Account is already linked to a Google Account, you would want to use Sign In Method at the startup screen (do not click play button), then pick Google Account and login to the one with existing Sky Account.

Play Store chooses the default account in your device! It could be done by temporary logout other Google accounts from phone settings.
(It's okay to add them back once your billing account is on the top of account list)

On Android - because of android fragmentation - everything is upscaled a bit. How much depends on your device how correctly its data is submitted to Google and how bugfree its graphics renderer is

Whenever they'll decide to do it. There's a thousand of different androids all manufactured differently, whereas there's pretty much one time of ios. It'll be hard to optimise headphones for every single android out there. It's a lot of work and they probably have other priorities

They won't (can't yet in stable way) because of how clumsy android is still percieveing audio from external apps, as once a dev explained. They wait for a Droid version which will support this feature better.

It could run the game some months ago but its GPU is very basic and even if it can launch Sky probably barely can catch up with 30fps in demanding areas; I highly recommend anything else with stronger GPU
