I would ask them. There is a minimum specs requirement pinned in this channel. They need to Google and double check their device's specs and see if any of them don't meet it. You can also refer them to the specs list if they want to look into devices that do run Sky. There is also a slight chance that their device is meant to run Sky, but Google play can be weird sometimes and claim that it's not compatible even if it is. Chances are small but worth to ask

you shouldn't have an issue playing the game per se, the warning is more to say it might be a little rougher than other devices with higher specs

If your device is compatible, but Google Play says it isn't, you're more than likely failing safetynet due to a bad OEM build (Has happened with Redmi earlier this year) or you're rooted/bootloader unlocked/running a custom ROM.

That would be the problem. As a security measure, Sky needs you to pass safetynet. If you aren't running a safetynet bypass like USNF, you can't install Sky.

Yeah, just search USNF from kdrag0n. It's regularly updated and works fine for me, even on the latest firmware released by Google.

It can be of two reasons sir, either your phone isn't powerful enough for 60fps(sky is rather demanding) or your phone is too new and TGC hasn't added the phone to their database of 60fps capable phones. Sir I think it's the former reason for the A52

Looks up phone specs The Adreno 618 is not powerful enough to handle Sky at 60 FPS. That would be the problem. You'll be lucky to get consistent 30 FPS on that chipset out of the box.

Hello, android player here, can anyone tell me why my game gets more laggy than usual? Sometimes it operates itself, sometimes doesn't respond well, and sometimes, I wasn't able to chat and leave a message since my phone's keyboard isn't showing whenever. If you have tried restarting and ensuring no background apps are robbing precious CPU cycles from Sky, there isn't much you can do to reduce lag on that device. Sky is a very demanding game graphically and will make most budget or mid range mobile devices lag when running Sky. They just can't handle all the graphics and physics calls the game requests.

Orange WiFi icon could also mean server issues on TGC's end. I've seen the orange symbol on my Switch with an ethernet dongle while my GF's Switch using WiFi on the same network doesn't get the WiFi symbol, proving a network issue on our end being very slim.

Insufficient storage. It goes between needing 2 GBs and 1GBs to be freed up.

Google Play store needs a minimum of 3Gb available. Depending on cache, you might need up to 4Gb, especially with the game's storage footprint increasing each major release.

If you have an external SD card, that free space doesn't count towards the free space needed to install Sky. It needs to be internal storage free space.

That would be with Google. Sky's memory footprint is only 1.44Gb. any free space required above that is on Google's end for whatever reason.

Yes, usually double the app size, never over. That's still on the app store's end, tbf. All the developer does is send the app package to the store (maybe a Delta package also, but that's usually handled on the store's end) and the store does everything else.

For a shared device, it would be best to use the "multiple user" (or names similar) feature in your device's settings. Having more than one account for yourself isn't advised and goes against the verbiage of "One account license" granted to you in the terms of service. If you're sharing a device with someone, for privacy and security reasons, it would be best practice to use that multiple user feature to separate more than just Sky, but other apps and data as well.

You just need a screen recorder which both android and ios have, majority (I think) have built in recorder, for others you'll need to either trying use the Google's one or find one play store. Ios is a lot better in terms of graphics and stuff but it's not exclusive to a screen recorder lol

Samsung C series phones are just not compatible with Sky at all. The model they asked about (Galaxy C7) was a budget release from 2016. It is definitely 32 bit and Sky requires a 64 bit OS.

CPU score doesn't mean much for 60 FPS, GPU matters more. I would assume the Adreno 642L would handle 60 FPS, but I can't say for sure. That GPU is on par with the Adreno 630 and it has 60 FPS.

Supports the highest graphic mode, and also support 60fps. Runs smoothly and so far I haven't experienced a single issue with textures or rendering, it's a great phone over all and can run most games at max as well.

If you finish the shard event after about 50 minutes of it landing, once the sky starts to clear again, it won't give you any reward because the game registers the event as being over now (although the shard won't disappear from the area until you reload it/leave and go back)

Does anyone have issues with the image looking blurry? My phone is new, with high-res screen and my game runs on the quality mode. On android 12 everything looks blurred, kinda lika a Gaussian filter on top of everything. There is no sharpness to grass, symbols, edges.

I use quality option and the game is well, blurry. It looks like there is some Gaussian blur type of filter on top of everything. I don't see any sharp edges, grass and characters are a bit blurred.

For me it's noticeable and making my eyes tired easily (as they struggle to focus on details). So it's not just about the taste, as it effects my ability to play. I'm surprised no one else has an issue with this/ there are no suggestions for some change.

I believe that this look could be intentional, mostly to hide volumetric cloud's aliasing. Yet, a simple sharpen on top of everything should help a lot without causing aliasing to appear again. There are some good AA methods that could make it possible to make the image rather soft and sharper looking as well.

Chromebooks able to run Android apps from the Play Store don't have up to date graphics drivers since they aren't tailored to gaming, but more light workloads like online classes, video calls, etc. (There are two main types of Chromebooks, ARM based which can play sky very badly and x86 Chromebooks which cannot run it at all)

I forgot to mention you in my response (to your message).

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. Android 12. GPU is Adreno 650 I believe.

I use quality option and the game is well, blurry. It looks like there is some Gaussian blur type of filter on top of everything. I don't see any sharp edges, grass and characters are a bit blurred.

For me it's noticeable and making my eyes tired easily (as they struggle to focus on details). So it's not just about the taste, as it effects my ability to play. I'm surprised no one else has an issue with this/ there are no suggestions for some change.

I believe that this look could be intentional, mostly to hide volumetric cloud's aliasing. Yet, a simple sharpen on top of everything should help a lot without causing aliasing to appear again. There are some good AA methods that could make it possible to make the image rather soft and sharper looking as well.

There are a lot of androids that just don't and can't meet the minimum requirements to run, and/or aren't strong enough for higher FPS and graphics. If say, hypothetically, TGC introduces 120fps and best possible graphics for all androids, majority of the androids will probably set on fire from just having the app installed, never mind being able to open it. It's not TGCs fault for android's poor quality for the majority of it

Well. This is clearly untrue.

You aren't optimizing the game for specific phones, do you know what you are describing even? Android is android, make it work for a specific system (like android 12) and it should look the same on all. The question is how it runs. Maybe your screen type and resolution.

Most phones now are more then capable of running this game. Especially recent phones.

Their screens are high res as well. So the only side that's lacking here is the visual side of the game itself. If it doesn't run full res or does some weird downscaling.

It could be easily fixed by giving players the ability to run it on low res or your phone's default res. Then if you can't upgrade your phone to something modern you can stick to basics.

They can't introduce 120 FPS. They could unlock FPS, which could be a good thing. Won't make your phone burn.

Samsung Galaxy is a very popular phone and even if what you said was true it should be in their intention to make it run well, which it does. It runs smooth especially on my device, but the image itself isn't as sharp as mt screen is (looks like there is not even a resolution issue, but a blur on the whole image).

Android is an open source platform. There isn't enough strict guidelines on what needs to be included in your specific build. There have been manufacturers who have been caught skipping important updates all the time. (Yes, even Samsung has skipped important updates in their Galaxy lineup) You'd be surprised how many phones out there are still vulnerable to an attack like Spectre because a company didn't want to spend the dev hours on a proper security patch. That's security let's not get into bad Vulkan drivers, which have in the past made some phones (even ones on Android 12) not load Sky at all due to a missing Vulkan call in their driver's.

You may have the ram and the Android version requirements but the chipset is another story.

So it might be that, read this:

You're correct I just found that out just now as well, their 8A has a 32bit chipset, while the 7A has this:

I actually have to partially retract my last statement as I just discovered something, I mentioned that the 8A had a 32bit, I just did some research and checked up on the Mediatek Chipset list and found this information it seems that they do have a 64bit chipset on the. This is rather strange.

Mediatek is great especially for a low end budget phone, I wish developers and laws would be more lenient towards these chipsets though, as I have noticed some restrictions on certain apps that can be ran on some of Mediatek's chipsets. other then that they make great devices .

ok so I been searching for some cheap phones for you, that still can meet the minimum requirements, sadly most of the new phones don't seem to promising, and the cheapst I found was around 300 US dollars, I did find one for 200 dollars but the chipset is not compatible.

Yes you are correct, that's what Izikhiel and I figured out, they sent me their CPUZ information and it shows the issues:

  1. Their actual ram is 2.7GBs instead of 3. so they got the 8A 2019 Version, while the 2020 Version has 3GB RAM exactly, so they dont have ram requirements. ( They have the Min Requirement of 1.5GB RAM)

  2. their OS is 32bit.

They might be able to install via the method you suggested though, Sky for Google-less Huawei but even if they install it, they might just get a error message saying it's incompatible or something :(

They are going to try it anyway so I wished them luck.
