I am having a bit of trouble with candles today too, including the seasonal ones. Try spamming the daily quests button, that usually solves it for the seasonal ones. As for the regular ones, I suggest you try some standard troubleshooting, that might help smoothing things out:

• Check internet connection
• Close and re-open the game
• Restart device
• (ANDROD)Clear the game cache (not confuse with game data!)

If none of those work, I'd recommend you report in #report-a-live-bug and/or contact support if you consider necessary.

Sounds like a connection issue indeed. It's not always a signal issue, but a speed/ping/latency issue is possible as well. I'd suggest going through some of the troubleshooting I added on my previous message, that might help smoothing things out.

I've noticed that I couldn't say anything with the word cook either! The filters are very sensitive right now and can result in otherwise innocent words/phrases getting censored or even getting you muted for it. I recommend opening a support ticket and tell them about this false positive so they can adjust their filter! is this still the protocol? or you can also send it in #live-feedback

Hm.. You could try doing the turtle event, or two more Geyser events. Daily Music sheet, daily wax bun in the cafe, that's what I can think of off the top of my head.

But if you've already gotten so much wax I don't think it can get you 5 more. You might have to wait for the next daily reset

afaik there's no mechanism to make your friend hold to you, except your friend hadn't relive a spirit in that area, your friend can activate the "Find a Guide" button in emote menu.

it's a common bug for now. you can try to change the fade to black only in setting ~~ so that you don't get a flashbang~~ to make it more comfortable in your eyes
