Red shards can reward between 1 - 3.5 AC. So if a player already has .5 AC and earns 3.5 AC, it will look like they earn 4 AC total from the event, when in reality it's just because the .5 + .5 added up to another full 1.

So if you see others get 1 AC more than you during a shard event, it's usually because they had extra partial AC leftover beforehand.

It all depends on the player., there is no definitive answer,, but I can give you a base answer,

a.) start candle running for one hour before first series of events. aka Before Gesyer, then go to Grandma and then turtle.. then continue where you left off from main candle run.

b.) alternate between main Candlerun and Event runs.

1. Start 30 mins prior to Geyser - isle, Prarie, hit Gesyer, finish prarie, start Hidden Forest, then start Granny, go to Turtle, finish Hidden Forest, etc.
