HONESTLY though I hesitate to believe scale doesn't impact height because I've gotten into 0.84 or lower so many times and max small twice. I get small WAY more than I do tall.

I do hesitate to believe what ktjn said just because of my terrible luck, but ktjn is a game dev and staff member for tgc lol would be cruel to lie about something like that. I genuinely believe 1.16 is my max height. I only got it one time and never above it for an entire year.

an Avatar's scale shouldn't matter too much on the height graph. Maybe would affect it slightly, but not to the point where due to scale, the max you can be is 1.16 over 1.20, maybe 1.19 or in an extreme case, 1.18.

Ya Know what else I found incredibly common besides hackers? There's a lot of rather inappropriate boat notes floating around beta, and the translation function actually Translates it fully. I avoid boat notes now cuz of that

old Abyss Boat was cool

So the cosmetics from Abyss are all really heavily based on traditional Scandinavian clothing, sort of like vikings, but primarily the sort of thing that everyday folks and sailors would wear. A lot of the cloaks are really historically accurate, as are the pants tunic. The small geometric designs of the triangles and other details resemble a lot of the fabric patterns that come from that era too. The ult cape is even made to resemble a specific style of decor that primarily women would wear with their dresses; it’s the gold looking “clasp” around the neck. The boat is also based off of an ancient longboat, usually one that carried supplies. So what I assume personally what happened was the original boat design was made before they’d fully settled into the aesthetic, then decided to change it to fit more with the spirits.

It has lessened, but testers who aren't photosensitive are still affected, so I'm pretty sure photosensitive players will still have a hard time with the shard events. I just hope no one gets hurt playing the game.

It's not really stroboscopic, though. It's more of an intense "pulse" at an odd frequency that causes severe discomfort for me.

I finally figured out a shortcut for eden after losing 4 out of 140 to get my 11th wedge

I remember one time I spent an hour at the beginning of eden with a table helping people with that second gap

So I’m a a Switch player who likes to lurk in here, and yesterday was the first time I went through Eden in live with the new crawling feature.
Some initial thoughts I had:

Deep call actually always lure crabs if you observe for a bit. Normal crabs aren’t dangerous coz they flip, but since shard crabs don’t get stunned, bonk guarantee. Fr tho, as nemu said above, they will get pushed back, but it’s too insignificant to make a huge difference, so totally not worth the risk.

I did the ark shard on Switch with 7 non Switch users and let me tell you, i did not burn more than 6 plants before the shard resolved itself.
Same with the crab memories at the end, half of them collected themselves.

Don't quote me on that but it looks like progress is somehow tied between Platforms even if they appear to be at different spots.

The way I experienced it in beta I think there was gradual progression. We were told in one of the posts here that based on our feedback some changes have been implemented in the Live version, so perhaps this is one such change?
Also, reading the live bug reports, a lot of things that were broken and made the season confusing, unfortunately made it to Live (e.g. can’t revisit memory, confusion about shard location and what’s required to complete the quest).

Question bc I didn't do the shard quests a whole lot in beta except for the quest giver fulfillment, did anyone get a full 10 ac over the course of a week? Like not in one single shard event but from mon-sat did anyone go from 0-10 ac just from doin shard events daily?

There's only the pass available in beta because you have to go running for regular and season candles and there's no other items being tested currently for IAP.

Also for reference to multiple people, you shouldn't be buying beta accounts nor talking about alternate ways to access beta as it's against ToS and a way to get banned permanently.

And to those struggling to access beta at all - play live. Beta isn't currently updated with anything live doesn't have now.

in my understanding both live and beta server provider is AWS, which has data centers around the world - the outages asia is experiencing now might have something to do with that which is my other areas (like me in EU) don't have server issues
