as you only get the diving ability from gw, seeing others dive down below the ice would be quite confusing, especially as there's a wl below. there has to be consistency with how water and diving works, I think this solution is adequate if the blue light seasonal hint is changed accordingly

The Valley ice rink feels kinda weird to me now with the new change: makes more sense lore-wise with relation to how we can swim now, but I don't find it nearly as welcoming thinking of it as a dark underground hole than a watery ecosystem

hey guys, i have a question, i see the season of flight used to switch the ultimate gift as a normal spirit cosmetic. So is it possible to switch the normal spirit cape with the ultimate cape around this time? One of my sky friend thinks the season of abyss ultimate gift is to basic and he want to switch the shipwright cape as the ultimate. It has released the fourth quest now so i don't know if tgc will change their mind.

That's sort of what the Daily Light system was supposed to do though, wasn't it? Allow people to easily earn at least some candles off of a smaller amount of wax/playtime. Daily login systems always felt a bit weird to me, because it always struck me as an artificial way of getting players to keep coming back without actually showing much real interest or engagement in the game. I just end up feeling stressed at forgetting to login to claim something rather than feeling rewarded for logging in (though that being said, candles which don't waste our time is also nice, like...Pleaful Parent across the Graveyard). I think I'd personally rather see the candle softcap be raised instead.

Having two versions of Sky on your phone shouldn't make it overheat or lag, because you can only really run one of them at a time (leave Sky in the background for too long, and it crashes/sends you to the restart screen). It's more a question of whether you've got the memory to install both, assuming you're able to run the Live version just fine.

personally i think the dark patch on the holes is to hide technology limits because it seems like lighting in sky has always affected the entire level only to change when entering certain zones
but the dark patch can be negated if they don't mind the inside looking like A but turning to B when entered

I imagine the people who report they spend 4 hours per day are relatively new player with few seasons under their belt and aiming to get everything from events/traveling spirits. to achieve this grinding 20-21 candles per day (which can take around 3 hours) is a must. for instance, maxing out the fire prophet required you to earn 19.2 candles per day for the entire two weeks (spending nothing on friends). if you’re earning ~10-15 candles per day the time is drastically reduced ofc. I think most people are just tired of the grind in general because grinding for cosmetics ends up being the only sort of progression possible after a certain point

• having multiple UI and graphic and other bugs unresolved for so long time
• instead of fixing them, nerfing white candle from chat bench candle offering making harder or unable to burn balls from grandma table they fall off
• still having almost 1 year old ridiculous bugs (chat, action icons and other layers mess and others)
• changing grass walk animation instead, moreover making it worse, taking away the magic of glowing flowers while walking amongst them

I kind of wish they created more separate UI behaviours for Switch and mobile, because I'm finding improvements/adjustments being made to fix user experience for problems on the Switch encroaches quite significantly on the mobile experience, creating problems that mobile never had to deal with before (biggest example is only having one icon show up at a time, instead of seeing multiple and being able to tap whichever one you'd like). It feels like they're trying to create a "one size fits all" UI for all platforms, rather than actually creating specialised UIs and inputs for mobile and console experiences separately.

If you knew there was once a bicycle glitch, teleport glitch and do spiral glitch is not as difficult now. it really helped me to do cr faster. and now everything is gone. my social time with my friends runs out just to do cr. TGC doesn't even need to say "we'll fix this." They can just say "we understand players are experiencing this issue, and we will be investigating it further."

I would say a good amount of live players and beta testers already understand (and if they don't, they should begin understanding it) that TGC cannot magically fix all bugs quickly and easily, and that fixes can often introduce more bugs or make things work. What many of us are talking about is the lack of communication regarding TGC even being aware of the issue(s).

With regards to the #beta-known-issues post:
Folks were filling reports about the 4th quest.
This has no mention of the color flash bug.
The discoloration but may be something else as it appears to be on structures and is not bright blinding flashes of color.
If this is to address what the majority of the bug reports mentioned then this is not worded precise enough. Are all the problems being addressed, how are we to know? If we are as precise as we can be when detailing bugs in reports and what is here doesn't sound quite like it, do we just keep filing bug reports about the bright color flashes that obscure view, interfere with testing and can cause people to become ill?

What they could do is do a redesign of the nets, trawlers, anchors etc to fit into the world aesthetic rather than removing them. It looks so boring.

After a day of researching, I have come to this conclusion. The ice ring is unlogical whether you remove the water or not. If you keep the water, it will conflict with the diving mechanic. If you removed it...I wouldn't want to know how the ice layer had formed without water. The devs created their own catch-22 from the beginning. So yeah, screw the keeping or removing the water subject, there is no right answer to that. BUT. One thing did come to my mind when I first saw the ice ring in the beta: "My ice ring! My beautiful ice ring! Who? Who threw mud on my ice ring?!!". And only when the player in the video went under the ice ring that I realized: "That is no mud? That's floating-mud." I don't know if any of you guys think the floating-mud or dust or whatever-it-is-surface looks more beautiful, better than the water surface, but if you really want that surface to come to live version...you good?

Yeah, it’s a conundrum.
The thing about Valley ice rink is that it has never made any sense whatsoever. Neither does the behavior of water in Sky, for that matter.
Even though there was water on the surface of the holes in the ice rink in Valley, once we were underneath that water surface and under the rink, we always skated. We never floated or swam there, even as we returned to the surface, defying the normal swimming/floating mechanics of being in water in Sky.
So, they might as well just keep it pretty –– keep the water surface in the holes in the ice; keep the beautiful blue light and the gorgeous light rays filtering through the whatever-substance-it-is water underneath the rink.
It doesn’t have to make logical sense. The game is not logical.
Attempts to make things consistent and logical in Sky have always been fairly arbitrary. Why start making things ugly in order to pretend the world is somehow logical?

The fact that rain drains our flight power, as does walking through normal, clean water in most of Forest, while it doesn’t in Sunny Forest or anywhere else in Sky, makes no sense.
When TGC changed it so that when we activate the jellyfish in Forest’s Broken Bridge area, we turn off rain there and in the Rivers area, it even further confused matters. Only when it’s raining does walking through normal water drain our capes?

Also, when we wear a mask, our eyes glow from underneath. But take off the mask, and we have no eyes.
We can deep breathe, but have no mouths.

If we have no mouths to breathe in air, why after a very short period underwater do we run out of air? And why is it that we can stand in some water and sit down underwater and not run out of air?

I don’t want it to be logical. I want each thing to be expedient to whatever we want to do there.
And I really hope we can achieve the ability to keep breathing underwater so we can explore for as long as we want, hold tea parties underwater, etc.
Give us oxygen tank props!

I can't speak to with details about the graphics issues with iOS, but visual issues on Android vs. iOS can have different causes even if they have a similar appearance on this side of the screen, so the process of finding and resolving the root causes can be different.

to be short, having all 2020 days of feast iaps is not a big deal, there is a bug about half a month ago that gives you all the iaps that was ever available in beta, coupled with the infinite sc glitch it was quite an annoyance

It's usually only possible to remain on an older version for a short while, before you are either forced to update or unable to play at all. Only iOS devices can downgrade to a previous version through Testflight.

Yes, we will find out when actually testing it, but I went that way because removing the ultimate gift with the current information we have about the season, doesn’t make sense. If this free mask does give extra breathing time, then it would be a whole other discussion that I would understand, like I understand people’s opinion on those two masks

i think it's related to the introduction of shared spaces. Besides, u can't really compare prop and just cosmetics. From the debates about ult mask giving advantage and being unfair to f2p, it's logical to assume this mask serves the function of rebreather as well, and was created to establish some balance.
