You mean krill tricks? Since the 0.14.5 live patches it's better to learn how to hide and outrun krills. Tricks are not always reliable and not how the game is meant to be played.

Wasteland isint Prairie but Krills had become aimbots and dodging in now impossible. You cant stun them, you either be lucky or your screwed.

The reason why people use krill glitches because the plant either keeps growing or the krills always come every 10-15 seconds.

What if you got targeted from afar and didnt know until you randomly lost wing light out of nowhere?

If theres a way to temporary stun them it would be better. Krills are now bad game design

Timing is the most crucial element of the trick. It will work if:

• A krill is locking on at your avatar
• If your skykid is within an area that the krill patrols without any cover
• You close the app the instant you lose winged lights

I disagree. Many of my friends only dodge krills without tricks. I saw several instances where 4 users went to the graveyard plant and one dodged the krill and the others burnt the plant in seconds.

Moreover I won't say bad game design whereas this is how that area and that game is meant to be played and Sky staff itself asked for dodging videos in the past day (or so) to adjust it making dodging more possible

Honestly, I geniunely don't understand why people are so attached to that one tree in Wasteland even after the Daily Light update. You don't have to get that tree at all in order to get a good amount of candles, even during a “full” candle run you can just skip it thanks to its benefits

this is a basic explanation, the interaction between the manta (a light creature) and the krill (a dark creature) serves as an invisible tutorial to teach the player that they're vulnerable to these creatures, because a skykid is a light creature
they may have used the spirit memories to lead the player into safety, that makes sense

I can burn the big tree but there's times where the tree decides to burn really slow, if you jump out after a certain time there's a chance the krills can miss you but when it burns slowly it's a problem that leads you to getting krilled

YEAH, my solution to certain areas in wasteland being too hard to run is to simply not run it. depending on how much you skip you'll only lose 0-3 candles assuming you have no chevrons so that's not that much, especially if you do the trials or if there's a wax collection event at homespace

What? Golden wasteland is meant to be a hostile environment, a barren death trap all of us were scared of gw at one point or another and some of us are still scared to enter it. It’s a part of the game and the more you enter into golden wasteland the easier and less scary it becomes. Game mechanics are trial and error so who cares if you lose a couple of WL in the process? It’s not as if they are gone forever, there’s too much attachment to winged lights when really and truly they are dispensable..

Staying away from the game for a while makes you realize its flaws, this also applies for playing it for longer amounts of time. Eden is definitely a bad place to find yourself in, I save my AC for the wing buffs from TSs instead of buying resizes. I don't like going through Eden, nor through all of the realms to recollect all of my winged light.

also i really like how krill dodging tricks are being removed since the entire point is that it's a dangerous area that you're going to have to hide in. maybe it's because i never learned how to do any of the tricks but i think it's really annoying to see people upset over not being able to use their tricks anymore when 1) this wouldn't BE a problem if you knew how to hide in the first place and 2) tgc only patches bugs when they think they're harmful to the game like that one bug that let you get into the nintendo area for free or the several crashing issues on android. krill tricks have been getting patched since the beginning so you should expect them to get patched and you should never rely on them to the point where you think wasteland is completely unrunnable without them

Sometimes making items in a bundle is not the best idea personally, cuz i dont always want to have every item in the bundle just some specific ones. So what if there was something like an option to pick whatever multiple items you want to be a bundle and you get a discount if you’ve picked 3 or 4 items. Something like “pick 3 get ?% discount”

Im not very knowledgeable about how this purchase and discount matter works (I’ll try to work my smol brain here) but i think discount can be applied for how much you’re spending. I recently came to a sad realisation

For a company to survive they need to constantly make profit.
Since Sky is a f2p game it means they either need a constant flow of new players (addition of the switch version) or they need to inflate the prices.

As we can see tgc never inflated the cost of the AP for the past 2 years, but they did start adding more and more IAPs

The sad realisation is that we either will get more and more IAPs that are getting expensive or they will have to try to cut the expenses - put less effort into the game which is not an option for this game

Right now its hard to do the seasonal candles because in game, they're missing the REALM candles which in beta, they have all 8 candles in every realm, every day.

We are taking this into consideration when we're talking about how grindy the game became. Obviously 4-spirit seasons are gonna be expensive because of the reason you mentioned.

They know the item ALONE will not be enough to entice people to buy it, look at the recent parasol item.

It was 19.99 for one single parasol... if you ask yourself "Will I truly spend that much on a single item? A parasol no less?" Then you start doubting yourself.

BUT it was bundled with 35 Seasonal Candles... thats a week worth of grind for a non Season Pass player.

That much time surely is a pretty nice bonusm

I think it just doesn’t really serve a unique purpose in the game. The idea is to place more than one prop, but the area to do so, is limited in size and you have to wait your turn. Not to mention, you need to own props to place any down.
Idk I just don’t think there is any specific reason for me to go to shared spaces, when I can place chat tables anywhere in sky. So I don’t use them.

a possible idea is maybe being able to earn a limited number of wax orbs/candles per day by willingly watching a short ad. like. not in a way that forces it on you. sort of like in neko atsume, if any of you have played that game, when the cats appear with the flyers in their mouths and you can click them to see an ad

true thats a good idea as well. i definitely think that there should be more passive wax events like the bonfire. capped, of course, so we don’t get a ton of people being afk 24/7, but even with the amount of free time i have, since my school doesn’t start until Wednesday, i never find myself willing to spend hours doing full candle runs and i can only imagine how it feels for those with jobs or who go to school in person instead of doing virtual classes the way i do

Giving you expensive targets that take 5 full Cr days to get is 'something to do'
But again the games needs to move away from just the cosmetics drive

I would also like to be able to be able to collect candles more easier(?) But I think that the ads would feel off in Sky,since people would rather login to watch ads and not play (of course not everyone would prefer that,but you get what I ment)
I think it would be nice to implement the mini game quests that they had in light awaits in daylight prairie.(the rock circles with constellations you see in some places) I think if every realm would have a similar mini game as an alternative to candle running in that area,it would make it more interesting(?)

tgc already makes a lot of revenue and im not saying that all items should be free. but i think that maybe lowering the price of individual items would be a better business decision for both consumers and TGC. like, instead of 1 $20 item, there could be 4 $5 items. that way players who can afford less can pick and choose which items they want without having to pay a whole $20 while tgc makes more money than they would have if the player saw the $20 price point and decided to get nothing at all

i don’t understand why so many people are so intent on “well if you didn’t play during this specific time/have the money for this item, sucks to be you” when the game is about being kind and connecting with others and expressing yourself. it fails to account for people who couldn’t play and generally creates a really hostile environment for new players who see old items and go “oh! that’s nice! how can i get one?” and then getting yelled at for being greedy and told that it’s their fault for not playing the game and paying for it earlier

I agree with your other points, but just letting you know that you probably won't be refunded. It's always best to keep in mind that one day you'll stop playing, or yes, the servers could go down completely. I spent between 400-600 on another game, tho the amount is spread over 5+ years of playing ofc. I've no regrets now that I've stopped playing it. So it's best to question yourself and think for a bit before buying something in Sky, or any other game Especially if you will regret it later on.
I don't really know any online game that has refunded their players after going down

let’s say we have 2 adventure pass players in a season right?

so let’s say player 1 doesn’t buy any seasonal candles, just the pass. they still get all the items, it just takes them longer and they have to be more dedicated to doing daily quests.

and let’s say player 2 pays for extra seasonal candles. they finish the season sooner, but still get the same items, right?

this supports the idea that paying could be used as a means of getting items FASTER, not getting them at all.
so maybe something that was an iap last year costs hearts or candles this year, and then the next year that price goes down to be fewer hearts/candles. that way it can be more accessible for new players while you don’t pay for nothing at all, because you were able to enjoy it way earlier than those who didn’t buy it as an iap

They are an intial target item for many and takes weeks to get alongside the constellation
This table originally was 44 hearts
Which is more than completing prairie ultimate
A different system or balancing is in order for feedback I feel

I don’t mean I want to have everything, I mean I want the ingame currency items to be obtainable without having to spend several hours a day every day on the game getting money.
And for IAPs to be a little more accessible because often the nicer items are the paid ones (in adventure pass, the shop, etc..)
Players shouldn’t be stuck with only the lower quality items of the bunch, if any at all given how much time it can take to get candles, just because they are poor or busy

I don't mean to put myself above anyone but as someone who has played a variety of online games for around 10 years, Sky isn't the only game with a currency hard to get, or over priced items, or too many iaps. TGC is like any other company. I agree that hearts are a little too hard to get, perhaps some iaps are overpriced, but again, TGC is like any other company and Sky is like any other online game. This is completely normal for games like Sky. You just simply can't have everything😕
