It's due to Android's permission stack. Sky cannot use it's internal recorder for Android due to that. I am sure if TGC could, they would allow their Engine's recorder to be enabled on Android.

Late response, but just in case it's relevant for you: you won't be able to break yourself out of stormlock if you've given any winged light to any of the statues (i.e. if you have AC to claim in Orbit, the game will force you to continue the sequence).

This is random but, I know the anniversary event has been over in beta for a while, but I'm still curious if they have any plans to adjust the prop item that we got (that banner thing with the little pennants). Because right now it still shows up in the Assembly bag when worn on the back, which doesn't really make much sense to me considering it's not related to that season. I only thought of it because I noticed when I was looking through my prop items earlier

Winter Season? You mean Rhythm? if you mean that then no. Seasons do not repeat and are unique from each other but there will be a Sky season during Winter time and Rhythm Spirits are in the TS pool

If you mean that the ice rink will return to Home in the winter, maybe. I think we've had ice rinks around that time since Rhythm. If you mean both Dream and Rhythm seasons, nope. You can still do Dreams quests and complete the area tho, just talk to the Dreams Guide. You can wait for the spirits to return as TS (or relive them and get their basic emotes once that feature goes live)

Currently I'm a beta tester for the android platform, what happens if I plan to switch to IOS? Do I have to wipe my progress completely and start over in a new IOS account or just leave beta? or can I transfer just the data?

You can sync it to something IOS and Android had something in common. And I think your progress will be intact.

However, as for you being able to play Sky Beta on IOS device after leaving Android fam. I'm not sure about this (do correct me, if I'm wrong) but I think you'll have to wait for another invite, and Testflight will provide you the link to download Sky Beta on IOS.

That being said there are advantages of the new one too like the emote-stance-spell separation and also a bunch of things which are uncomfortable to use as a mobile player compared to old one for sure. What we can do is sending them feedback about what we like or dislike, what makes it easier/harder to play the game with new ui.

Same thing here. In just over two years I have recorded more than 100GB+ of vids and pics from Sky, and this is the first time I have gotten this black flashing.

On the Eden side, I am a bit frustrated. Back in August last year, a repeated white flashing started in the three krill stage. The flashing goes along with the thunder and wind blowing, and isn't in all servers. I used to have epilepsy and do have a Sky friend who has seizures that are triggered by flashing, so she couldn't do Eden any more (had to get her kids to control the screen for that stage). I emailed TGC about it and got put in contact with Robert, who said he was up the chain and asked me to email them vid of the flashing. He said he took it to the devs, but that flashing hasn't stopped.

Last week I had enough and emailed them again. If they can't fix that flashing, then put a warning in the game description. Other games that I play have that flashing warning, but the flashing in those games isn't as bad as it is in Eden.

I think it gets 60 fps in some areas, but others, it will dip to 30 and might have frame skips. We're talking about a chip that was "top of the line" 5 years ago. It can only do so much. Try playing Sky at 60 fps on an iPhone 5 or Nexus 6.

Adventure pass prices are already "out of hand" for many users and they haven't changed in the past 2 years, whereas server and dev costs highly raised obviously. I would not judge anything about this season and wait a bit, and in the end of the day these are just cosmetics which don't do any advantage. Sky is not a fashion show. It's a game about friendships and exploration. If you think the coolest cosmetics are so important to be cheaper and it has key importance in game, maybe it's wise to consider of Sky not for you. Someone spends time and effort designing these items, then someone else programmes them to move correctly in the game, including shading in different light situations, then there is probably also the licensing fee... Lots of things influence the price of items in a game. And we should also remember that TGC isn't responsible for the financial situation in every country in the world.

If you think the coolest cosmetics are so important to be cheaper and it has key importance in game, maybe it's wise to consider of Sky not for you. Although this isn't the main reason the game is here; it still doesn't justify the prices... it's not a fashion show, but the game is basically about collecting items and making friends... literally that's all you can do. So if it's overpriced and unreasonable then it's kind of hard to play... especially with the overall userbase MAKING this game a fashion show and being rude based off of the items you have because of how expensive the items are getting.

Unless TGC specifically tells us how prices are decided, we can only speculate by taking into account some of the things I mentioned. Just like any other business, they also need money to survive and thrive.

Cheap and expensive is always going to be relative. And Tib does have a point in that we don't really need any of these items to play the game. But feedback is a great option for letting TGC know your thoughts.

What I meant was that beta is for testing, so that bugs like the Eden issue don't appear in Live. That's why we should prioritise testing it ourselves, before asking if it is "safe". Eden does seem to be working fine now, but it's great if you can also confirm that by going. 🙂

Nope. Like last seasons, there's still cosmetics you can obtain without the adventure pass, and some that require it. The sword outfit costs regular candles, so no money required. The fox, scarf, and green cape do need money tho

Ok, so you can get at max 20 candles a day, then they reset. See all those candles and red flying orbs scattered all through the game maps? Collecting many of them creates candles for you

I believe this is a bug but, you can grab a friend’s hand and go through a portal, the quest will be completed if you both get through iirc!

Originally, you were supposed to recharge someone whose flight power was depleted. I think you can still complete it that way also, but going through a portal is more convenient. It's because Sky kids always have to be re-downloaded from the server as you pass through a transition. This can also cause the infamous moth bug.

I wish you could ride the manta(s) at the Citadel! I just spent about 15 minutes chasing them and they recharge my energy but I can't connect. They LOOK just like the ones you can fly with so I'm sad!

Oh... interesting. I just noticed that I got the "fly with a manta" quest after flying near the mantas in the ice rink, citadel and doing the manta voice spirit memory. Not sure which one triggered it, because I didn't get a completion banner. If anyone else hasn't done the quest yet, maybe you could check it out and see which one triggered the quest?
