which means once you're in, you're set, even if you're going to end up inactive

if you're an iOS user, you'll risk getting kicked out if you're inactive, but otherwise, between seasons you'll still have access to beta

OK, you know how usually when a season ends, we get an access wipe and everyone has to reapply for beta?
well, not anymore, because google doesnt let people remove beta testers. so even if you're inactive you'll still be in beta
what this means is

• if youre an android user, once you have beta, you have it forever, no need to reapply
• if youre an iOS user, once you have beta, theres no need to reapply but if you are inactive on beta, you will get kicked out

Some differences in the Shop. Because Beta is for testing, no real-life currencies are involved. The Shop will have prices listed so that testers can give feedback, but “purchasing” items in Beta will NOT cost real money. The Beta Shop will not always have the same items available for “purchase” as the Shop in the Live version.

The lock on the beta invites channel just means it’s required to have some role to view it. It does not have prerequisites on how active you are. Simply, thats not how discord channels work. The channel will be completely missing from the list if you do not have perms to view it. You do not need to be active on this or other channels to be a beta tester. In fact, I just tested it with my alternate discord account, and as long as you have one of the “season” roles you have access to the beta invites channel.

android testers can't be booted because of how google's beta works now. ios testers will, on an as-needed-by-the-devs-basis be kicked out for inactivity and new invites sent out. in the interest of fairness when ios invites go out a comparable number of android invites will also go out. this means that invites are no longer going out every season. it could bemore or less frequent depending on how much people go inactive. if you're fairly active then you won't ever be kicked and can keep beta testing. it does say that missing a couple updates won't get you kicked so it's not a daily activity requirement hopefully this makes sense?

I suggest trying to keep up and be somewhat active though since it helps the devs the #beta-announcements does explain the new system pretty thoroughly and has a bit of an faq as well

we don't really have a solid answer for that. The update says missing a few updates won't get you kicked out so it's definitely not a daily requirement. I suggest just trying to get on at least once every couple updates and check out things the patch notes mentions

the shepherd system in the game is a mysterious friendliness ranking system. we don't know exactly how it is unlocked, but we assume that you be kind to other players. you can see it by tapping the top right corner in your friend constellation, the symbol is a heart inside a diamond. once you have the role, you can see the same symbol above a new player's head.

There hasn’t been much detail on it but i think if a new beta update comes along and you fail to regularly update and play during the new releases you wont be classed as being an active beta player because essentially you aren’t fulfilling it’s main role which is testing the new updates. That’s just my take on it though, i could be completely wrong

OK, you know how usually when a season ends, we get an access wipe and everyone has to reapply for beta?
well, not anymore, because google doesnt let people remove beta testers. so even if you're inactive you'll still be in beta
what this means is

• if youre an android user, once you have beta, you have it forever, no need to reapply
• if youre an iOS user, once you have beta, theres no need to reapply but if you are inactive on beta, you will get kicked out

there's nothing to test in the shop currently. they disabled candles packs because they want us to actually play the game to test it so the only IAPs we see are event IAP and the starter pack (edit and founders pack sorry forgot that one)

the current daily light system we're testing it pretty nice though because you can get more candles in one realm than you can on live right now so if you onyl have a short time to run, you still benefit more from running

It's all part of the experience. We're here as guinea pigs so that Live works as smoothly as possible. You need to have patience and not get too attached to things.

you're not supposed to play beta and treat it as a replacement for live is the thing. you'll likely end up frustrated or disappointed or both, so if you're devoting yourself to beta you should know what you're getting into (possible candle wipes, lots of crashing, nothing working as intended)

We don’t find the bugs, they find us but normally you don’t even have to do anything, just go to a regular cr after an update. It’s kinda true that with friends there is usually more things, which can be discovered like invisible sanctuary, dreams, isle etc. but no need to go crazy. Solo player feedback is just as valuable, because things might work if you are alone and they don’t in group. It’s interesting to compare the two (for me at least).
