i have a question about that serendipity feature, does it only match you to one player only? i bind my star pin to my live account and when i wanted to try the warp thing, it says "your friend is not online" :(. i thought it's going to match you with whoever that has the pin who is currently online or something..?

Not really a bug, but the new UI menu is a bit too big for my screen, and the last one was a little too small. Can you not revert back to the og please? It fit better, and I kind of liked scrolling left and right on the menu :P Also, 6.99 for a hat I'll only wear for like, 2 weeks max? And 15.99 for a cape? Are the adventure passes the only in-app purchases that are reasonable prices now? Even merch is op. Mugs, tees and stickers might have been a better first merchandise launch(?) Just my opinion :)

Sounds like a bug that should be reported. Serendipity matches you with others who have pins bound to their account, but it's possible they went offline as you tried to warp to them.

Oh wow , just got the new ug cape ,black swan/pheonix ..... you can notice your flight patterns more and it’s almost perfect to the actual flight of a bird .... I think maybe the way settings are for android is probably so that as many android devices are able to run it while still being able to enjoy,without burning out devices !! Since I can use tools to get native resolution as the same as iOS device, there is no reason that TGC reduce the resolution. Maybe separate the screen quality and fps is a good solution, which can take care of both low and high-performance Android device.

Have watched it , your graphics is not fluent because your GPU is not good. But my device 855's GPU is better than A9, so it's nonsence to compare this two device. It's a good choice to compare between 855 and A10x or A11. For example, iPhone X, as it's GPU performance is roughly the same as 855.

ah sorry I was not in chat until just now but I actually know the answer to this! you can share the same beta account across platforms BUT you need an ios invite and an android invite and they discourage people from sitting on multiple invites to give others a chance. however if you wanna switch to the other platform to test next season just make sure you accept the invite from the same google account that's linked to the current one (I have an ipad and an android so that's how I figured it out)

For those that are still wondering what the rock’s about:
From what I understood about the rock situation, there once was a single rock somewhere in Isle that was removed with a patch. But players (obviously) noticed that it was gone, so TGC put into their patch notes a little easter egg/joke about the rock simply having embarked on an adventure and now living in Sanctuary instead!
Now in the newest patch notes they continued the story of the rock, having briefly returned to Isle (more specifically the cave of prophecy) and seeing a heart (made out of candles) before returning to Sanctuary.
The last known location of the rock is therefore according to patch notes near one of the campfires in Sanctuary Islands!

(If my interpretation is inaccurate in any way, please do correct me!)

Hi guys. I hope I'm not barging into a conversation with this question, but it's been bothering me since the day I started playing. Have you ever heard why TGC refuses to allow us to turn off the cutscenes? I listened to an interview with jenova chen from right before the global Sky launch, and I have immense respect for him and his vision. A lot of his decisions make sense. If there's a reason I'm just curious. For me, they take me out of the experience and make me feel like I'm re-living the same day over and over without progress. Like groundhog day or something.

I recommend playing with it first before passing judgement. We will make tuning passes before this ever reaches live. If you do a full CR it shouldn't take any more time than it does on Live, but your first few candles of the day will forge much more quickly than Live.

From everything I read in beta updates, this sounds incredible! I’m so impressed with the thought that the devs have put into trying to maximize the fun aspects of the game and minimize the grind. Here's a hypothetical scenario based on how I understood the new system:

1st candle meter - gets full with just 20wax
2nd candle meter - gets full with 30 wax
3rd candle meter - 40 wax

and so on and so forth

You can forge candles faster when you just start candle running for the day, and as you run more, the speed you can forge candles decreases.The total amount of candles available is still the same per day. this way if you can’t log on for long you can still get a decent amount of candles

Full runs take the same amount of time! You still need to travel everywhere and get the same number of candles, the new system just makes it easier if you only have 20 minutes to spare

Candle run time won’t change, you will still do all the levels at the same pace you normally would. It’s just the amount of times you forge a candle that changes,

the calculation is made when you collect the Light, not when you forge the candles, so waiting to forge won't be beneficial or detrimental to you to sandbag your candle forging.

Sometimes I stayed up very late because 1. I’ve been addicted to logging in to Sky. 2. Juggling in between mundane activities and running for candles (cause I like collecting cosmetics and opening nodes for friends).

With this new system I so hope it will help my sleeping schedule to return (not regretting the lack of sleep tbh, I met wonderful people, but is unhealthy!)

I’m super excited about candle-forging changes! Having to do the exact same thing, day-after-day, does kind of tarnish my love of the game and often increases my stress, which is upsetting because the whole reason I fell in love with Sky was that it helped ease my crippling anxiety and also helped distract me from my OCD issues. But now my OCD is often triggered by “I have to finish this!” and it gets so tedious. I want to be challenged in new ways and have different things to do. So, YAY!!!

I think for valley races, better question would be: had we always got 1 candle because the system added 1 candle to our account or was it because the system added 100 (idk the actual amount) waxes to our account which then added up to 1 candle. If it’s the wax then I suppose we might be able to get 2+ candles from 1 race 🤔

I think that's a reasonable solution though, but it would harm those who have the drive and time to cr everyday and get the max from every realm. I think this the start of a great solution to burn out in Sky, but I don't think that having a max like that will help in the long run, as this system is meant to help out not only those who don't have the time but still give players who have the time the opportunity to get more in a day.

It's like it'll take less time to forge the first few candles but more time than even now to forge the last one for the day.
This way, the time you farm might still be the same, but you can just farm for the start and get majority of the candles
