I've seen the evidence that TGC doesn't only make decisions based on maximizing revenue. There were lots of conversations about how low priced IAP is predatory, and I think finding a balance between in-game economy and IRL currency is tricky. I don't pretend to know all the factors that went into the process of setting those prices.

It's pretty common for crew to create their own entirely new engine just for a specific purpose, I heard in a "making of" that they made an entire program just to quickly make things such as water splashing on solid obstacles

i have to say I missed hunting for winged light like this, prophecy's wl were in the trials, and sanctuary's wl were (mostly) in plain sight, the spirit quests and bell quests led us to all of them.
I found only one of the dreams wl from the spirit quests, the others I found just idly exploring the place it's really nice

Prairie crashing may have been because of new mini games added. Otherwise a stable realm should be damaged by a new seasonal area added else where. Something I witnessed in another live game recently, was player weaponizing a statement from devs over a year ago regarding specific content and trying to apply it to new content, despite the situation around that original statement having completely changed and was impossible to continue to be applicable. it makes it hard for developers to continue to be communicative, which is largely why that dev refrains from making statements of any kind. The studio then gets criticized for being unresponsive and lacking transparency, which is unfortunate.

This is a huge problem in general with games and their playerbases. Every word is taken as gospel or a promise, so if something changes that makes that promise undeliverable, the studio and developers are villainized for "going back on their promise."

This is why we are very hush hush about Switch because it's too early to make promises like crossplay, though it's still of course our goal.

It’s a shame to see poor behaviour, especially over such an amazing game as sky, but I will say. Out of all the gaming communities I’ve seen the Sky community is the kindest and warmest. There’s still faults of course and it can get a bit chaotic at times but over all it’s so cosy and warm and I adore it for that

When I'm over here doing invites at 4am, 6am and so on because I care about making it as fair as possible. Once I explain that I make the colossal effort, their tune completely changes, because it humanized me to them. I wasn't just a faceless entity representing the studio, I was a human doing my best.

That's why it's so, so important to treat everyone with kindness, it's real people on the other side of that screen.

Sparkler was, weirdly important to me as a moth,

I don't really remember what I expected of prophecy, we knew only about the teaser, and we got the trailer before testing began, like with dreams, so we were excited to explore every inch of that dark and dreary cave with the animal statues and killer soundtrack , we knew it was a different theme, we knew it was for lore, but I don't think anyone was dissapointed at its size ?

I think that selling the antlers and the snowflake cape separately for $15USD each is not a good idea when taking customers with lower incomes and those from more expensive regions into account. To illustrate this I will use my own region, Australia, as an example.

IAP prices in Australia behave differently to that of the US. A single Adventure Pass that usually costs $10USD costs $15AUD in Australia, and that to me is fair enough. But a pack that usually costs $15USD is suddenly blown up to $30AUD. If I were to buy two separate packs that cost $30AUD each, that would add up to $60AUD. Adding insult to injury is the fact that a $30AUD pack costs MORE than a regular Adventure Pass here. In regards to customers in the US region, if they bought all three packs as well as a single Adventure pass, it would cost them $47USD. This is why I am concerned that the pack contents are not worth their price.
(i forgot to mention the fact that snowflake cape doesn't come with candles; i don't remember if it was the same with antlers)

Sorry for the ping @meager shore, but I was reading through the bug reports and that spirit needs the pray emote from the bottom floor. You can see the icon on the left in the photo you attached, you click it and your character will pray next to the stone, which will slowly light up similar to a meditation stone. I think it only needs one player, but having several people makes it fill up faster. Sorry if someone already told you this!

Idk if this is true for anyone else but whenever I pass the Eden point of no return the game crashes (I tried 5 times). I know TGC gets a lot of crash complaints tho, so I'll probably just try again later.

I’ve come across a bug where when someone activates the boats .. the whole village comes to a stand still and no one can move while the mini cutscene plays , I’m thinking this was a fix so that the boats works for everyone -but also everyone in the village has to stand still while someone goes through cutscene ... I hope this can be fixed without taking away the mini cutscene of boats activating 😦 .... has anyone else had this happen ? 🤍

It's not really a bug, but when anyone activates the bell towers in Prairie village everyone else has to watch the cut scene too.
