Latest live patch notes (0.11.4 build 157539) there was notice about Days of Feast coming sometime in december, last year we had some decoration in office but we don't know if it will be the same or have something else, gotta actually wait for it so we can see it exactly

I just noticed that my Sky ID is different in beta and live. I’d just assumed it was the same cause it’s tied to the same Game Center & Google account and what not. Glad I checked. Better keep a screenshot of both just in case you lose your account

I like to see the improvements too, but in general, beta is exciting. More like a treasure hunt than bug hunt. There are always new things popping up, new features which affects other features. It’s fun to find them, or at least try and think about why did they appeared, and can we avoid them somehow or make them work etc.

i'm naturally likely to test and break stuff to see what can be done, so i figured i'd be more likely to run into situations where doing something would cause the game to become unplayable or problematic -- better to find that as early as possible in beta rather than in live (though in all honesty otherwise, i've almost been treating live and beta the same way these last 2-3 months)

I started playing beta because it was the only way to play on Android before release, but I stayed becuase I love helping and knowing that I had an impact on the game I love. The beta community is so welcoming too, and I have so much fun finding bugs. A lot of my favorite memories are from bug hunting and generally breaking the game SkyLOL

I play beta because it’s quieter and I can walk away from people easier for the same reason as most people have said SkyLOL I like seeing things grow up and I love learning about the technical aspect of bugs and stuff

Nobody has beta in TestFlight right now, you can only play beta until access expires, then you can only play until they force an update. Then you’ll have to wait for the invites so you can get beta back in TestFlight again stickerHeart

It can be difficult to use at times and some languages are not very accurate. They've been trying to update languages and fix some minor bugs

better to see then not to see imo, and if people disagree, they can simply just not turn on the option which would (theoretically) be in the settings menu

at some points the translator was game-breaking and/or extremely laggy and/or bypassing the filters
it's honestly not something that's ready to be in game yet, but I'm sure it will be eventually

many players use keyboard translation apps like gboard for now

yeah I’ve noticed some words that should be filtered in other languages don’t get filtered and if you translate it to english it shows plain as day.it’s a work in progress so any feedback/bug reports you could give on it not functioning correctly will help that process

In some places it would be in midnight when the invites release, but in other places it wouldn't be midnight. But there will be more invites suited for different time zones and not just that one.

(And we don't even know if it will be at midnight, because we don't know when invites come out.)

Personally I feel making those items even more expensive only adds even more pressure with CRing, and even more pressure as to cough up your equivalent of a USD tenner for the AP

It’s different during the season tho, first, the price is about 1/3 of the price of the item when it comes back as a TS. I don’t really see how this reduces cr stress honestly... I still need 70 candles — before the price was distributed between the kabuki mask + the hat and I had a choice between the two, I could spend the candles on an item I wanted.. —- now the hat is singularly 70.. and I have to get the hat to get the other item...if anything the pricing got worse... -_-
But Ned, you’re getting 2 items before for that price... now without the pass, you only get 1??

I agree,I think people will be more stressed about candle running now, because items are pass locked now and it’s not guaranteed that you would be able to get a pass all the item. So to unlock the ‘freebie’, they’d stress to get the required candles for the tiers below on the ts tree.

Ok I actually searched for how much both items costed when the kabuki spirit visited us for the last time, and it was around 75 candles, so it doesn’t make much sense to me either if the purpose is supposed to be reducing all the candle running

Yea, the pass of the current season and my bet is that, during off season - they’re going to introduce a way to purchase passes for upcoming seasons earlier and obviously they’ll allow for gifting of passes to happen earlier too

For me the travellers were a chance to get items that were locked under a pass before at a later date. This would not be possible now and players that can't afford passes never will get a chance for specific items they might like.

That’s sort of what the traveling spirit has become in the community.. but ktjin did say that was never the intent of the traveling spirits.. but I think st the end of the day, regardless of intent, it was received in that way and changing it now to relock items feels a bit... idk what word to use here... cheap? Even if it might help some people, idk.. I really like the discount system idea still...

Everybody is looking forward to the travellers because they know they can finally get that one item they were looking forward to while they couldn't afford a pass. And honestly... I don't mind that having had passes myself, that a player that hasn't had can get these items, too. I mean waiting times for these spirits can be up to a year.

I feel like that conversation thread has been brought up and discussed multiple times, but I do feel cosmetics play a big role in this game... It’s not an RPG open world like Genshin impact... honestly in Genshin impact — we care less about the type of wings a character has and instead care about characters and unlocking the right weapons or getting the right characters... because that’s what needed for the game or what makes the game fun

I feel for sky, the artistic aspect of it, really makes it feel like a social media game where cosmetics feel like an extension of myself... so intended or not, cosmetics are a big part of the game... and I know they added the new trials and tried to change up game play a bit
But, idk about others, but for me, the trials became as repetitive as the races in valley after playing/testing them in beta... I honestly didn’t even do the trials in live yet....
So to that extent, cosmetics give a meaning to the hearts in the game, to candle running daily in the game etc..
why would I care if other people send me hearts unless I knew I could get a new cosmetic in the game

But that said, the game is different things to different people, for me at the moment, it’s very heavy on the cosmetics... u_u

I feel the inequality this creates among players might arise conflicts. As playing from Android start in live I am in the comfortable position of having unlocked many travelling spirits. So I got these for "free" at the prize of candle running. While players that will join after this change never had any chance to do that.
And still there is one or two spirits I craved for from the start and then might never be able to unlock, despite candle running every day to prepare for them. Unless I happen to have a pass at that time.

Also I agree with cosmetics being an important part of the game. While they may not be mandatory to achieve certain goals they are a way of self expression which is very important in a social game! I'm not seldom being friended because a player likes the look I wear and thinks we might become good friends because they enjoy a similar style for example.

To me the adventure pass grants you the immediate access to the AP locked items and emotes upgrades. Waiting for the spirits for months if not longer is enough of a price for the ones who did not purchase the pass in my opinion. Even more so since the ts system has been working the way it has been for almost a year now, I feel like it’s going to be really badly received by the community if it ever gets changed like this.

Sheorun, ktjin did say this wasn’t because of AP sales or special event item sales... ktjin said this was due to the number of people who were purchasing candle packs to unlock items from the ts..
in effect, these individuals were spending up to $20 on candle packs per traveling spirit...
ktjin said the studio stands to loose money by making this change, however, they’re making this change, keeping these people in mind..

The thing is tho, is that the prices are low for season items during the season, and even then the seasons last for so long that you could miss a ton of days of daily candles and still have enough for everything. It’s also pretty cheap for how many items you get, only 10 dollars for all the rewards. The case of the ts is different. 10 dollars for one or two cosmetic items, and then in the case of the karate spirit, you have to pay 70 candles, something that many people won’t be able to afford unless they candle ran on a schedule. The point of this was supposed to reduce the need for grinding, but instead this did everything but that... if that was the problem they were trying to fix they hit way off the mark

beta has one distinct difference with the TS system in that old nodes that were previously locked behind an adventure pass are visible, so there's clearly some difference between live and beta with the TS programming -- the kabuki spirit being here is definitely pretty weird though

I like the farming system too. It makes the reward feel great and well deserved, and the act of increasing the prices with the introduction of more candles to get daily also helps. And usually if you’re committed to getting an item and you candle run from when it’s announced to when it leaves, you’ll be able to get the item. Me and my friend have done that countless times and it’s great 😄

If getting into beta it’s meant to be it will be , just remember to do beta for the right reasons ,which I believe they are to make sky a much better experience for those in live including yourself ... if you do beta for the wrong reasons then nothing good really comes of it . You will spoil the experience in live for yourself and pretty much waste time doing something you can’t keep ....

During generation Prophecy (it's what I call it) TGC sent out multiple invite waves that caters to all timezones over the span of two days. They'll likely do it for this too. But we don't know for sure. I find it very likely to do it with this one. So just sleep. It'll make you happy, it'll make us happy, it'll make TGC happy, it'll make the elders happy, just go sleep. definitely a hypocrite for saying this because I get scolded for being on sky when I'm not feeling good but please get enough sleep and food and take care of your real life responsibilities. there will be multiple invite waves and they're not even guaranteed to come today so staying up camping here might not even yield results. your life is waaaay more important than beta and live sky will always be there even if you don't make it in stickerHeart

I'll be honest: I don't have a strong opinion on the TS system. on live I have almost every cosmetic in the game anyways because I started in January before the TS did and only skipped a couple cosmetics. The only TS I'm missing in general is dismiss. so no matter what gets implemented it won't actualyl affect me in any way

i don't really like the ts system. i'm a broke skykid and can't afford iaps. but i don't mind if it changes that much. i don't really care for the cosmetics that much. sure i would like to have some, but i don't have a need for them. SkyShrug

I see, tbh I just don’t like the fact that they said that it was a way to reduce the stress of candle run but the item (in this case the hat) cost 70 candles and u have to have in order to get the mask which it’s the most appealing in this ts in my opinion...like I need to get one in order to get the other which I don’t like

TS system is fine though some players might have to pay twice for an item.

For example someone who owns the Rhythm pass but somehow couldn’t complete the full constellation
Then when Rhythm spirits comeback as TS they’ll - in a way pay twice for an item.

The TS change is very good for newer players into the game I think.

I dont mind the pass lock, even though I cant buy adventure passes, but I don't like how an item is locked behind another. I know its exactly like it is during seasons, but I'd prefer having the choice to get one or the other

Sure it’s less expensive but again it’s taking the option to skip an item that u don’t want...so it’s feel like imposing to buy an item that u don’t really like with candles that u can use for other things

With this ts tree the reason that you don't have to buy it if you don't want to is not valid anymore. If you want the AP locked item you have to buy even what you don't like. SkyShrug

I think at the end of the day their intent is to get people to use participate in the seasons and get the items then... but some people started after the season was already done >< at that point there’s nothing to do except pay steep candle prices

so the last time if you wanted only the mask of the ts you needed 52 candles, 2 ac and 3 hearts, now if you want the mask in the present system you need to spend 75 candles, the ap, 2 ac and how much for the emote? this is kinda worst if they are gonna block the most wanted item from the ts behind AP
