I think it's really up to the devs to decide that. Some people's devices might crash constantly due to a bug that is specific to them, other people on other devices might not even experience it at all. Sending in reports helps TGC see trends and see who's being affected by what.

There are candle benches in eden tho, and I feel like... in life not everything should be or can be solved via design/environment. Helping others is purely up to an individual and a spontaneous decision, I think that's really pure and nice in its own way

Beta seems really exciting with all the new content and stuff but in actuality when new seasons/areas are released, they're not totally polished yet. It takes weeks and lots of feedback/updates/bug reports for it to reach the level of quality that is released to Live. Beta is also extremely lonely and empty because it has nowhere close to the player base that Live has

i'd guess someone's preference on this probably depends on how they want to play the game. if they want to play independently and efficiently, then i figure they'd want to be able to hold a lantern and a candle at the same time. that would be really helpful/practical for solo candleruns.
Ktjn talked about this a while ago. sky isn't designed for us to play independently, it's meant as a social game. by making it so we can't hold a candle and a lantern at the same time, tgc encourages cooperative play (e.g. one friend holds a lantern, one friend holds a candle and they work together as a team.)
if you don't like to play this way, i don't think that's a sign that tgc is making the wrong design decision with the lantern. it may be a sign that you want to play the game in ways that it's not designed for.

Ping was modified because many players were uncomfortable with too many people around them, which fully proves that many people just want to relax in the sky world and there are many solo players. In my opinion, there should be no excuse for their "technical issue".

Syo, I'm not sure if you're referring to the lantern when you say there should be no excuse for their "techinical issue" but assuming that you are:

I am not an experienced programmer, but from what I do know, the constraints of your own code are a very real problem. If the game engine was created without allowing for certain things, the devs can struggle to find ways around those limits if they want to add a revolutionary new feature.
Usually items in games are defined by classes, which have specific properties. Giving something a property that isn't in its class could very well be impossible, depending on how the code handles it. So lighting candles, which is limited specifically to your red candle, might not transfer well to props, which I'd imagine are defined separately and could have conflicting code.
I have no clue how Sky is coded and what the limitations are, but it really doesn't surprise me that they're struggling to add features that are completely new to props

It was just a suggestion to use your time on live if you can't dedicate time to both because they really do need active testers here to get feedback. And regarding the new season: they will be wiping access again right before it starts and sending out new invites so you might want to turn on notifications if you plan on being more active to test this season.

Beta and Live are the same game. The difference is that live is a more stable and polished version, beta is strictly for testing new content so it can get polished before live. sometimes things that get tested are scrapped and never go live.

I haven't noticed any temp changes or lag from areas with lots of boats (namely home space and the social area of prairie)

i remember spamming the upgraded boo! emotes were causing lag at some point because of all the particle effects it was making, and since the boat itself is an object you could technically spawn with tens of other people i was wondering if itd have any significant impact
