keep in mind, beta is a testing environment. if you want to play for fun and because of the lovely world, the regular game is a much better choice, since it's far less buggy, and since it's very difficult to make friends in beta

if you mean the resolution issue that was causing overheating in some devices, it's fixed in beta, but i believe it hasn't made it to live yet

tgc's planning a hotfix update to live for that soon

We couldn't identify a fix for the overheating issue before the patch cutoff that will be releasing in the very near future, but are already working on a supplementary hotfix to address it. the fix is being tested in the current beta build.

there were some overheating improvements in the live build yes, but not the big fix that was causing the majority of issues. once that's live, the other optimizations for rendering and whatnot should be a lot more evident.

Quick overview: Up until the season prep patch for live, (the first patch after Android went live) Android resolution was on a system of 1/3 native resolution for default, 1/2.5 for boosted, and 1/2 for hi-res/presentation.

The patch in question changed it to a system that I still can't quite figure out. (1/2.1428 native resolution for default?)

tbh I trust the judgement of the devs. already at 30fps people’s phones are overheating. Mine hit 45 celcius at one point and that was at 30fps. I respect TGC for erring on the side of caution and NOT letting certain phones overclock themselves
