Nobody knows when beta invites will open. You can get the invite role from #beta-faq so you're notified when it does open up again at some point. But it could be a while and they go fast. It took me like three waves to grab a spot. It can take a little patience

Don't forget, Beta is a testing ground for Live content, but we don't always get everything that's intended for Live It's probably where the Journey Pack IAPs are going to be sold now that it's been made available on all platforms.

the only thing I'm aware of is that the sitting down for a cinna roll thing continues to be active after the event is over, and it gives you a small amount of wax from picking that up

They worded it a little confusing but right now the tea brewer only brings one roll when you sit and not the thing where a bunch of them fall out of the oven as far as I’ve seen even though they are both prepared by the tea brewer. The plush spell is gone for us so we can’t check but it sounds like people who own the plushie will not get access to any extra wax than the players who don’t.

If someone sat in the cafe and saw the oven pastries come falling out please correct me maybe I missed it if they changed the schedule of it to be less frequent. I can’t check now but so far in beta I didn’t see it happen.

1. No it seems that the hourly event does not stay (unless something changed this update)
2. According to a customer service linked to this post by orca #beta-discussion message people with and without the plushie will both be able to get wax after the event. (The way I read this I think buying it will not activate this hourly event for additional wax).

Pretty much the one ticket you get by sitting and waiting for your order becomes wax instead (at least in beta).

How it went? Well TestFlight directed us to isle of dawn and waited there for the first half hour. Checked here and found out from a player that it was in eye of Eden so went there and guess what? No skyfest there either. So can report that never saw it at all..chased it for an hour tho😵‍💫

I was actually a regular old player at first who happened to get the game recommended to me by a friend when it launched on iOS! i had done some fanart and eventually tgc reached out and asked me if they could pay me to use some of my fan concepts for a seasonal area and then shortly after I applied and managed to get hired! Although I wasnt a concept artist at first-I was actually helping make the promotional images and graphics like the old TS images for a few months before I got to do some concept work. Enchantment was my first season i got to help do concepts for so its always a very special season to me in my heart!!

yeah! no department is an island (at least at TGC!) and theres a lot of collaboration between different people in different departments!! Like of course as visdev artists we work a lot with our 3D artists but working with designers and engineers etc is also SUPER SUPER important too especially in the beginning stages!

yeah!! basically all of the gameplay is handled by our game designers and engineers tag teaming to bring it to reality but for example its super helpful from a concept point of view in say, a new season level, to know what designers have in mind for the type of gameplay, story needs, or areas of importance etc! that way visdev can work with designers to help tell the story of the place and also to an extent help guide players in the area, etc

We're not sure where the dresser has gone for the moment, it still appears in nests and for those who bought it already from the board it appears in their closets so we'll have to wait to see where it'll be later

As for the shell, we can't really give price previews and I'm also sure most of us will have nabbed it when it was first added since it had a placeholder price of 1 candle so again probably a situation of waiting to see when it comes to live!

Shouldn't be too long since 25.5 has already been mentioned in #news, we just have to wait for all the follow up details, patch notes, and update

Pc beta works slightly differently, you need to register an email with TGC for them to send the info to it. The registration stage had ended until TGC starts a new registration form to recruit new testers.

Well, here it is. They've been banning local accounts lately, probably to cut on illegitimate beta players.
When I got my invite and got into the app it was automatically a google log in, so the use of a local account here is odd, and likely the reason

Steam had to get a particular invite to join steam beta. Using a live or demo steam account won’t work

Might be the fact that you used the local account to begin with, regardless of what was linked to it later, might be so your account should be linked to the original Google account you got the invite on to be considered legitimate (just theorizing here).
You could try to log in with Google but if it wasn't linked to your prior account it'll just make a new one probably. Maybe you could try to wait and see if it'll work again next update or something

The way the rhythm hairs got fixed within two patches from their odd lighting and meanwhile rose has been broken since 0.17.0 and got worse 0.25.0 and is Still busted in beta 😭 I'm gonna cry guys it's endless.

🫠 lighting is desaturated and bad in dark places and caves... Recently with 0.25.0 the rose now lights up super bright on one side... It's been broken since performance.

Every beta update I look out for fixes but there never are any... I've bug reported a ton too.

During beta, when we were testing this being available for use out and about in the levels, unfortunately we ran into a high volume of bugs and exploits with this prop that were pretty complex to resolve. (This is one of the reasons why we're always saying that everything in beta is subject to change, and nothing can be considered final until it's actually to live)

For now the ult figurine allows us to wear any saved outfit as long as you own it. It's not not the same as an entire portable closet of course, but it's nifty to use with your friends if you all were planning to collaborate outfits out in the realms

I had to run to beta to double check. I couldn't remember. But it doesn't seem the closet was taken out with ill intent. It just caused a lot of issues. Maybe when they get the tech for it, they can add it back into our closet to wear

Why not? sago said it's because it's just buggy. Just make sure to feedback your thoughts and the devs will know you do care a lot about it.

the instrument displayer is still pretty good on its own and function-wise it does double a bit on how the closet is used too

Again, I get why folks would be disappointed. Sometimes in beta things turn out the way we hope, and other times, they don't. Fwiw, we're pretty excited about the music player, and hopefully folks have a lot of fun with that one! (Personally, I'm liking the idea of getting to play my instrument along with the songs)

This season had so much promise, but alas :(
Was kinda excited bout the new props but the prices are CRAZY and just promote more grinding.
Nests are nice but fill up way too fast and now the cool oob area is off limits.
The Ultimate figurine seemed pretty cool but it turned out kinda useless outside the nest.
The mannequin was also kinda neat but limited to just one in the nest for 99 AC!
Now RIP to the dresser :( what a disappointment

The mannequin was a waste of 99ac for me personally.

I thought it would let me save outfits in shared spaces like the figure so id have two but it only displays 1/2 the items i have on and lacks the functionality to even let me swap to those :/

This is why I decided to take a break from Sky for the time being. I'm really sick and tired of grinding and paying for things that could potentially change with or without any notice whatsoever. This goes for any IAPs and free IGC items in general. I didn't like when they changed the rainbow IAP pants in beta but I'm glad they reverted it. However I'm kind of upset they took Peeking Postman's shoes away from their outfit. Now it just looks really weird and the Spirit looks even more awkward. Things just haven't really been the same since Nesting came to beta and I'm hoping next season will be more traditional again, I'm assuming it will be.

I honestly never thought I'd get tired of Sky but here we are. And it makes me incredibly sad that I just don't have the energy to play anymore or the motivation. At least for now.

In some recent past seasons ults have been visually different but the functionally the same (such as the moments camera and the abyss masks) so it is pretty disappointing. Imo the mannequin isn’t very nice visually either, so it makes the lack of functionality even worse. I know people don’t have to buy it but the price is kind of deceptive

I think it's more just they don't have time to adjust the spirit and add the shoes back yet cuz they'd have to tweak the TS tree for shoe pricing and that might not be implemented yet also

the postman boots change is interesting because it felt more like a belated change they didn't have time to implement earlier because of how they clipped the yeti boots onto postman for feast, then later removed them so that combination is possible for players without glitching them on

The way I look at this is like
In any game you have to grind to get items and this isn't any different
It's there forever and you have time to save up

The three elder masks have been there for two years and many players never got them even with the high cost so like ya know
It's not a big deal

As someone who doesn't enjoy grinding too much either, I believe the point of the season was to not complete everything right away. I believe we were told that items for sale would change every so often, which means that this is a season that is meant for you to take your time doing.

If I view it that way, then it makes sense. Even then, the main story of Sky is very short, so the grinding aspect is what keeps people coming back to the game.

I did get burned out before trying to get everything, but my fomo has died off and I just try to get what I want and leave it at that. (Can't really do that with beta since we're testing, but you know what I mean)

Here's hoping the next season reignites your love for the game again.
