I went to the event and found the free 4 tickets from the spell box near the anniversary guide, hurray!

Then I felt like someone outsider. No clues nor instructions. NPCs seemingly had fun but the area felt lifeless without the dance party I see mentioned in discussions. I searched around to find tickets but no success. At least I found a useful place: the cake table in front of the stage but that's just regular wax.

I was flying around, candle ran office permanent candles. I went back, still no tickets. "Is it a no ticket type of event?" - I thought. (But I know yet that items cost a lot of tickets)

I was a clueless. I heard "end of grandma feast" type of bells twice or 3 times but still no tickets. I lost interest. I logged off from the game.

I've had better luck with cupcakes by visiting the stage near the top of the hour. (Eg. xx:00 - xx:10 - xx:20) The birthday song always seems to play at xx:30 and provides the cupcake worth x2 tickets.

The last 20 minutes of the hour don't have performances that spawn cupcakes.

To be honest, I find the ticket system to be "the emperor's new clothes", because it doesn't alleviate candle running, it just replaces it with something else equally grinding/monotonous

Tickets are not there to stop us from grinding. if that was the case we would have a converter if it was really about alevieting stress when it comes to collecting things. Its to funnel people into engaging with specific aspects of the game namely events.

The thing that was happening was that users cr'd so they had a huge reservoir of candles, bought all event items on day one and then didn't log in again during the rest of it. With the ticket system nobody gets the items on first day and everybody has to log in every day, which probably looks a lot better for the investors of the game

the point im making is that older/candle rich players are the ones that are kinda losing the most. They invested lots of time grinding already and now there is nothing to use those candles on its disheartening to see all the time (or worse, money) you spent become obsolete.

if grinding was an issue they could reduce costs of new items, even if they dont reduce old item costs for consistency/fairness sake. But they continually up costs of newly introduced items every time we get a repeat of an event, so its clear its not the grind they care about.

Best way to farm candles (though i dont recommend worrying about candles so much in beta) is to collect seasonal candles even when you complete the season we get a whopping 25 a day

yeah, the ticket system is a little bit smoke and mirrors. rainbow is ok (tho it can be annoying to wait for the puzzle) but I personally found the days of music ticket search to be really tedious (so much opening and closing of instruments…) and the anniversary is even worse.

it’s definitely nice for players who don’t candle run to just log on and get tickets for the event, but for a player like myself who always candle runs because I still need to complete constellations and have many uncompleted TS, the tickets are something extra on top, and like toast said it takes away the assurance that we can save up in advance.

I guess for me, TLDR, I like the potential but so far the execution is tedious and a hassle 😦

before the ticket system, even if you don't manage to collect enough candles, you still KEEP the candles you collected and can use them on something else.
if you don't manage to collect enough tickets in time, they disappear and your effort is gone. there's more of a deadline and I almost find that more stressful, but at the same time I understand that most other players probably find it less stressful (if the tickets are handled well)

what if a more casual player thought they collected everything because they couldn’t find any more tickets but then didn’t manage to collect enough at the end of the event?? how sad

Being forced to visit the Vortex daily was the first crack for me. It was just so unfun and boring.
Subjected to the cutscenes that broke holding hands and piggyback with friends, sometimes the boat bugging out and not showing if you flew too fast daily was NOT fun. Then somehow it got worse when we even had to pick up the trash in a very specific order.

I know a lot of people love it, but I do not enjoy festival tech being shoved into almost all the new events. It was lovely and fit Aurora and Bloom, but it's just plain overwhelming in Passage quests. It suits DoC but seeing all those colored blobs flying about makes me dizzy. I wished they gave us the option to turn it off.

Having my regular candles rendered useless also took away my motivation to play somewhat. Am currently staying to finish up my season pass in Live + for friends, but I can also easily hang out with them in discord and there are fun activities we can do together.

also make sure to leave feedback on the anniversary tickets. I'm not sure if it can still receive any major changes before it comes to live, but we at least need to make sure that tgc knows that we aren't fans of it.

I really hope that the festival tech won't be implemented into every event. I really can't imagine it during something like lazy days

It's great that you like it! The idea behind it is great, personally just not a fan of the execution.
A lot of the new features just aren't intuitive to me, and having to check social media/discord/content creators just to make sure I don't miss anything takes out a bit of the fun for me.

I've already left it in feedback a while ago, but I feel like there should be less tickets, and they should be more obvious to collect, with cheaper items. I feel like it could be better if it was actually more like season, with 6/5 tickets a day, and items that are not more expensive than 50.
I feel like the current numbers are just too big, it makes it harder to keep track if you've collected everything, and the item price feels kinda intimidating too.
With rainbow, I find it tedious bc the area is just so big, and the bubbles just don't pop off well enough at all. It's also annoying that the daily amount is so inconsistent, it makes it even harder to plan.
I did enjoy the days of music though, but I wished that all the numbers were just lower

That's just moth experience though. If you start during a season you don't know daily, you don't know season candles, you're unlikely to get many items. It's similar in that regard. So I don't see how is that much more confusing, especially when there are still candle items as well.
I think it's nice that the ticket system frees up some candles for other stuff, but it's just not implemented perfectly

• Looks & Placement of the tickets; sometimes it's hard to see the bubbles, cupcakes. Especially this Anniversary testing, with all the fest tech color, music etc, i truly felt overwhelmed searching for the event cupcakes.
  (i think it is valid forcing us to watch performances to get cupcakes. we can get wax from the cake nearby while waiting the performance ongoing anyway)

-it feels cater more towards old players (that has lotsa candles) than new players. Daily, i only need to grind for tickets and just grab any wax i got along the way, and quit or hangout with friends. In 5-6 days, i could get the event items. Is this good with new players? Doubt it with the spirits joining in + TS along the duration of the events. Cause FOMO culture.

However, I do think it would be efficient if - at the start of the event - we would be notified just how much tickets we can get in that day. If we know “it’s 4 in the area, 5 with performances” the endless search also stops when you get them.

Well yes they do want you to play the event. Let's say the tickets carried from the current DoR to the next year's. If you had leftover tickets, you'd get the items faster and be able to be done with the event faster. Which is unfair to the players actually doing the event and are way behind with tickets/new players. They have less people to help with completing the rainbows, and it'll be harder to get tickets for them.

Well it's much easier to get candles, and most candle related things come back, and a lot quicker. So they don't need to work as hard to get everything. Tickets even help with this because they don't have to grind hard for event items.

Any new system will typically not be welcomed when it is first introduced. Tickets are no different. I do think they did not do a good job introducing them to the live game with the current event.

The first time we have a new currency I think should have had smaller more affordable items so people could understand the currency better overall.

And even if not they should have let the currency been a consistent amount because most people are so used to consistency and plan around it but having amounts you can collect fluctuate day to day is stressful.

Well, the idea is as follows. all events are available the free spells of paraphernalia for us to test in our skykid. this week at the color event, i had discussions with my friends because of the new black cover for the event. well, I would like to suggest to tgc that there could be some sign in the equipment per spell to identify players that the equipment we are using is not definitive, but a spell. thus we avoid the distrust of our friends. because we know that there are hackers in the game... so that way we avoid the risks of those who don't use third-party applications to take advantage of other players... using a spell... and thus avoid denunciations generated by distrust from friends who don't know that we are wearing a spell. so I suggest that you have a mark on the clothing when it is a spell, thus identifying the players that that item is a spell and not a definitive outfit.
