you or your friend will be able to gift iaps currently available in your shop menu.
tho I'm not sure why would you be needing that, cause all of the iaps are free anyway and aren't normally locked for one of the players (aside from the previously available aurora wings iap, that one got tricky)

👆 My Player Support coworkers manually investigate before every single ban. There is definitely no automatic ban just based on the number of reports.

If someone falsely reports you just to try to get revenge, it won't do anything but waste that person's time and let you live rent-free in their head

Still a permenant ban seems a little much. I feel like temporary bans are never used. Every time I've seen someone post about getting banned it's been permenant in sky. I still think warnings or strikes should be given (unless hackers).

Even if I knew exactly who this person was and had done the investigation myself, we aren't able to talk about the personal information of people's accounts except with them. I know that probably doesn't feel like a satisfying answer, but just like how we do moderation here on the server, that's done to protect their privacy as well as the privacy of anyone affected by a player whose account we've had to take action on.

I will say that generally speaking, when someone is saying why their account was banned from any platform, there may be good reasons to take their portrayal of things with a grain of salt.

the case of idle wax removal is also from the other end of the spectrum: players upset at warping to their friends and seeing them just AFKing and unable to interact with them.
The game promotes social interaction so removing idle wax does that.

Again, I'm not choosing any point of view just try to think with TGC's point of view why did they remove idle wax spots (which never meant as idle spots, rather spots to socialize)

• TGC did not disclose why but as per TGC CEO they want the players to actually play the game
• not moving Skykids are discouraging to other active players and how player community reacts to others
• after 10 minutes of inactivity Skykids stop collecting wax. Players circumvented it and misused social wax spots even at the cost of damaging battery (exceptions are switch in docked mode and ps)

If someone with cool mind thinks it over logically, non- reacting afk Skykids are very discouraging for social interactions. It's very simple. If a moth tries to light up many players but they don't even move then simply learns not to be so social. That's not great for the game vibe and not serving the goal how TGC wants players to play the game, and many unfortunately misused its given possibilities

especially in that campfire in forest–sometimes it falls over the cliff

I can see both sides of the coin to the argument about afk collection. One side wants to keep the game having more social interaction, while the other is saying we still need ways to farm wax easy for those who have no time. But I think you can still have interaction if you have afk spots. I know I like to have my skykid cuddle with others while we farm. It's not necessarily going out and talking or emoting, but people are still together.

Also in general, I'd afk when I needed to focus on class work and felt I didn't have time to do life+college work and Cr and now I can't. Kinda sucks. Even when we could afk all day you'd still have to run some since it would leave you with one chevron. It was just helpful in reducing the amount of time I had to spend actually doing a CR.

the problem I have with afking is that the candle economy has become so inflated that you need to get 10, 15, 20 candles a day to afford anything and there are parts of the playerbase that, for whatever reason, are unable to actively play for the time required

Honestly, I can understand this POV, and as you mentioned, it can damage battery life which is not ideal. But I can also understand that people have lives outside the game and don't have the time nor the energy to farm every day for 2 hrs. I feel like maybe the devs should at least try to give some kind of candle farming method that works for those who have time (like myself) and those who don't, without locking it behind a paywall or potentially causing damage to a player's device

When afk was a thing I disliked to see non reacting sitting Skykids with their instruments not doing anything. Or they were sleeping and I didn't merge with active players so had to burn a forest area all alone. I don't prefer the buggy wax balls as well. They are lifeless too.

honestly my biggest point of frustration with afking was at geyser, since at the time it was the only repeating wax spot and when burned, all urchin wax would automatically fly towards your skid and not just stay at the spot of being burned
so I think it's been balanced out better in return

because I have tried speedrunning lighting up the lanterns on the sides and usually I give a quick light flicker to get it going and it will fully light up by itself, so by that time you'll have moved away and you can avoid being kidnapped by the cutscene
I do the exact same trick to the ground level part 2 lanterns, so I can sit down on the platform as the floating lanterns light up to make the medi circle start shrinking as I'm stuck in cutscene

@thick goblet responding to your message in #beta-screenshots-videos. Yes, unfriending would be an ideal thing to have. Because what's the point if you end up friending a moth that never comes back, or worse, someone that purposely makes you uncomfortable. While, yes the block feature does an excellent job of getting rid of them, it still serves as a reminder each time you scroll through the blocked users list. And if they found out you blocked them and they're friends with any of your friends, rumors can spread about and it's just not fun for someone to deal with.

I'm neutral when it comes to an option to unfriend people but I believe I've stated what and why people would want an unfriend option.

I would agree if not for how the block feature currently works. unless you don’t have a single friend on your friendslist who is also friends with the blocked person I guarantee you will eventually run into them in some capacity. I’ve seen people scramble to unlock me as I spawn into home with a mutual, I’ve seen players with a light in their chest pretending like I don’t exist while chatting to another friend, or even players using mutuals to intentionally join me just to show that I’m blocked and harass me with spam calls etc. just the other week I was at beta geyser and merged with a friend that one of the friends I was with had blocked.

until it becomes impossible to even exist in the same server instance as someone who is blocked/has blocked me I’ll continually support an unfriend option

It would be interesting if the cosmic mantas automatically got close to a Sky kid within its radius when in it, like it will display a manta going down and charging the player for a few seconds or so before going off, similar to how butterflies do. In this case though the other player doesn't see the manta charging the first player.

The manta projector, being an Ultimate Gift and all, should at least be able to charge just as fast as the Belonging campfire. If it doesn't charge as fast, honestly I wouldn't be disappointed, but I'd like something that can charge me fast, because having 11 wedges takes a while to charge up.

Yep, you can use the manta ulti in shared spaces, and it functions the same way when other people select your shared space to view or share with others,

And all props you own are available to use for shared spaces, it's kinda the main reason I buy some of them so I have more options for creativity there

Even if you like one of your friends message I think the other candles won’t refresh unless you hide 1 of them. If you hide a strangers note, you can still find your friends candle somewhere as long as it’s not hidden beforehand

Right, but if you have many friend notes to find, hiding the friend notes after liking them so I can find the other friend notes is what I do, that way I don't have the same friend notes reappearing each time, this is most effective I've found for what I'm trying to do

props to tgc for being able to push out content this fast, i really do wish they could take a break and work longer on seasons that may need them, season of aurora was fantastic thanks to more focus being put towards it

understandably business wise it could be unlikely, since that could potentially mean less seasons in a given year and less chances of adventure pass sales

honestly i think a great move would be to extend a few seasons so players can miss more dailies or have more time to unlock the season. during this time, more effort and time would be put into quality of life updates or general overhauls of outdated systems such as the currency/traveling spirit systems.

i feel like the game has strayed from its initial laidback/calming environment and geared more into we need to push out as many seasons and events as possible.

i think either extending seasons or the time between them to work on the game in general would be beneficial for the longrun of the game’s lifespan. it would also be nice to get some permanent features unrelated to seasons and events like minigames and other activities to get more players involved with the game outside of candlerunning and season completion

Don't be sorry, it's sometimes hard to keep up with stuff, especially since you're right that update notes aren't really completely reliable. Just pointed you there in case you needed the exact date or so.

whenever google play does those errors again, you should delete all of it's updates by entering it's app's settings menu and pressing the dots on the upper right corner
it won't affect your account or anything, and it will eventually catch up to the current version of the app
but it does make it finally say "not enough room" outright

I haven't tried it in the current build, but in a previous build, if I join the turtle event after the dark plant on the turtle's back is melted (after the server merge happens), I don't get the big clams. If I can melt the dark plant on the back and there is a cutscene I can get it.

Wifi is just one element of the chain from your router to your phone. How about from your ISP to your router? Did you do a package dropout and ping test?

hii question coming from a non-tester, does beta have the same mechanic when it's cosmetics? like they're in the beta for a limited time but ahead from live (i havent gotten a proper answer that makes sense )

Cosmetics work exactly as in live, be it TS, IAP or seasonal
If they're limited to an event or season in live, same goes for beta, we just test new stuff early

For example, a while ago we tested Days of Fortune, it only lasted for a few days, tho
If the devs think things can still be changed based on our feedback, they may extend the season or event for testing purposes

I've never heard of a specific community for one-handed players, no. But basically anyone from the first generation of beta testers would have been one, although some may have move on to two-handed or controller now. If I don't play on console, I still use one-handed

I remember playing with someone who had an injured shoulder as well. She was very sweet and she also played one handed but I don't think she was a beta tester. Either way, tbh hats off to anyone who can play one handed. I haven't tried - then again it's apple exclusive iirc for portrait mode-, but you all fascinate me for those who can actually play that way

Before switch, I used to fly right handed with a controller while typing left handed with a keyboard to chat with passengers when ubering... I do not miss that, though the fact that switch cannot do this does sadden me a bit ^^;

When the time comes, you will need to manually opt in via the message sent in the invites channel that will register you as a tester. Getting the ping role does not guarantee any placement.

It's an 20.1 update which means it's still a hotfix update, most notably we couldn't claim our bonus SC so hopefully that will be fixed among many other others
