My issue about skyball being igc thus easy to get is it might get abused. I’ve seen this happening in gramma’s dinner and honestly I’m unable to burn some of the pau because the goalposts stopped my skykid body from reaching it. (Still have no solid opinions, we’ll see for next few days)

Im not surprised the skyball is iap, im hoping the one in the village stays permanently so everyone has access to the game.

But pretty much every prop with a unique functionality has been iap (krill pumpkin/cat prop/snowglobe) even if it was just a decorative function.

Plus I think skyball set would be like 300 candles if they made it igc

We also have to keep in mind with these collab seasons that while TGC does still take feedback on the content, some things may not change much even with feedback because they are working with another company/artist/entity to create the content, so not everything is up to TGC's decision. If the artist wants their content to be represented a certain way in their agreement then TGC will have to abide by that to some extent

Some people have the roles to see the updates and see what's coming up, but don't actually HAVE beta, others missed the invite waves or are newer to skycord and therefore have the roles to be notified of new stuff

But the season is still based on aurora so I wouldn't expect any extravagant masks since she doesn't wear any afaik? Maybe in future seasons we'll get more unique masks again, definitely think more anubis options would be fun, like egyptian deities have some incredible details that if they ever wanna do more inspired by that I'd be 100% down for it

Truth be told, I actually find the facepaint aspect of it more unique than some of the masks we got from the early seasons -- I'm happy enough with the current ones as this season's particular look, even as someone who doesn't really know of Aurora. aurora isn't necessarily the season for extravagant design, like except the wings which as cool as heck but they're still pretty basic in terms of the actual base design of them - I think she wears simple yet beautiful items irl and they're trying to replicate that within the season whilst also giving us transparent wings that we've been begging for forever

but I definitely do think in future seasons it would be good to see more unique mask models, it can be tiresome seeing the same base mask but with just a lil detail added. I think we should feedback about it probably in live feedback or wishlist more so - you can also still share views on your thoughts about aurora cosmetics though I still think it's important for them to hear if things like the masks aren't sparking joy

I like various animal masks, and it's a little pity that the Creature Face Mask didn't come out this time like creature mask with details such as prophecy and Gratitude. However, the face-painted Aurora's face often appears in the Aurora music video, so I think the current Aurora masks are based on them.

After it's been used to protect you it breaks and looks dull, you have to go visit the elder at their temple to get the power reinstated. the closet should hinted that, as well! If you go check your mask it should say to return to the elder to get the power again :)

I see. I also feel the capes still need work, but overall I feel everything else feels pretty finished. I could also say I want more pant details, but for my personal opinion I think the season feels finished and don't wanna knock down to unfinished based on capes alone. Love the quests and visuals and the emotes are fantastic. So it's good to me. I understand why some people would feel it's unfinished though as there are a ton of capes and if your priorities are on cosmetics in a season then it makes sense.

Anyone have other reasons? More perspective would be nice.

a lot of the cape issues come from the standard cape rig itself, they just become more apparent with smaller ones, or, in the butterfly's case, more symmetrical kind
I don't think there's much devs can do aside from changing the behavior of the cape base itself, which sounds.. very complicated

i think that might be due to it using the same animations as every other cape all capes are slightly tilted because of the wind but it's only noticeable on the fairy cape because it's a flat object
i don't think tgc would or could make a whole new set of animations for one cape and get the season out on time

Invisible cape is very doubtable to ever come to live imo, I think it was meant as more of an Easter egg for beta than something to beta test. It lets you see pants better which could be useful for beta. I think tgc mentioned something about it in #beta-faq

Personally I think if we get elder masks then next might be the pants. Only after pants would I think if tgc were to release capeless it would be then. Because the elders aren't shown with capes-- so it would be neat and give a good reason to then release the invisible cape so we can fully cosplay as elders in game.

Honestly I don't understand the choir explanation myself, but I'm no professional, I just feel like the first version was such an incredibly unique instrument, showcased beautiful vocals, and was really nice to play regardless of if you were playing a specific song or messing around on it. The current version pales in comparison, the only nice way it plays is if you're using elongated notes and even then transitioning between them doesn't feel smooth enough, it feels like they took aurora's voice and roboticised it, some of the notes still sound out of tune for some reason and I'm sure she recorded the vocals specifically for each note, but somewhere along the line they've become honks rather than singing and if I wanted to listen to someone honking along to a song I could just do it myself with my kid idk

the good thing is that the instrument wasn't listed in the season blogpost, which means that it might be saved for the latter half of the season. maybe it can be salvaged and worked on more before it's actual release. it really needs more testing, the current version is subpar.

What made me so excited about version 1 to begin with was because it didn't sound like a choir
It could sound like two people singing at the same time and no other instrument has ever conveyed that before and it was just so fun to listen to because of it
A lot of other instruments in the game all have the same sounding note so having an random sound instrument was such a breath of fresh air, and I play a variety of my instruments in the live game regularly

Like it's an opportunity to have a human voice as an instrument and the greatest power it has is the variety of sounds it's able to make

theres this issue that came up with the creation of a voice synthesizer (KAFU, from Cevio) that i thought was similar to this - the first version they made of KAFU was the one that sounded most like the voice provider, but it was changed in the end as the voice provider didnt like that her voice could easily be replaced by the voice synthesizer.

of course, aurora instrument itself doesn't have the same issues per se, since its only limited to the 15 keys we have, but the 1st version being the best and sounding the most like aurora made me think of that issue.

maybe the reason why we can't get the 1st version back as good as it was, is due to problems like that. but its all speculation from me so idk lol

I was thinking today that it has been so long since an ultimate gift has actually felt “ultimate” to me. The previous seasons have been good, but I haven’t been wowed by a UG since the Season of Prophecy. The Aurora cape finally brought that wow factor back, it’s so gorg.

The voice instrument was available from the start of the season in beta, although the item has changed several times. I think TGC may still be working on it, judging from the fact that it just changed again in beta.

There are some devs hanging out right now in genchat, so one may answer your question. Just don’t ping them. 😊

Arriving to coliseum after races became a disappointment in this patch. The whole feel of arriving fast into a race is gone, screen flashes to white which makes me squint and blink, camera turns around which all are inconvenient. I lost my arriving momentum to grab the light fragments as well. Very chaotic feel.

I think also if certain things aren't being tested in beta, there's a copyright reason for it (like how the kizuna ai stuff disappeared for everyone after it was tested for feedback) so it's probably something that could be handled internally instead
