Sadly console life stopped after PS2, couldn't buy em. I heard of Journey and saw one of the nomads at E3 one year. Sky was the closest I got then I bought it on PC and finally got to play it~ I even met a player!

In summary of journey tho, it’s a beautiful game, the soundtrack surprised me at how good it was. A bit short but still impactful I feel. Definitely replayable

Also if you haven’t seen it, “Mega64” did a video on journey over a decade ago that I still find hilarious. If you haven’t seen it i definitely recommend it, it was how I discovered journey years ago 😂 I’d post the YouTube link but I think it’s against the rules

It's worth noting that besides collecting all the symbols and unlocking the white robe, there is not much progress to be made either way. Journey is all about playing it through once, and playing it again if you (hopefully) enjoyed the first time enough. It's a relatively short game too so you wouldn't need to play half on one device and the rest on another

I looked into this for a friend. It is very unlikely. The Switch's networking library is not friendly to the sort of thing Journey does, so it would be far cheaper to develop it as a stand-alone game., removing some of the point of the game.

Also, Journey concentrates on experience, not action: the scenes and sounds and atmosphere of the game are far more important than the PC's actions. And the Switch has a small screen and there's a big chance that you'll be playing without good stereo speakers or headphones. This dramatically diminishes the impact the game can make.

My feeling is that although a port would be possible, people playing the ported version won't walk away saying "Wow, that was an immersive and transporting experience. I'll never forget it.". And that removes a lot of the point of playing the game in the first place.

It's also unlikely simply because Sony is not investing in Journey anymore. They stopped support (updates and bug fixes) to the iOS version. The Epic Games version has a broken multiplayer. And they never bothered hiring any company to port it to android.

'Honks' in Journey would work like knocks on wood or using something metal to bang on a metal pipe. It would require the other person to understand Morse and, very important, to understand how you are distinguishing a dot from a dash from the space between words. (This is not obvious.)

It could be done. It could work between two strangers on the first attempt. But It would be slow. Perhaps one minute per short sentence. And, given the type of people who play Journey, it's unlikely to work between two strangers.

wrong, Phyre Engine does have android support but it arrived late and doesn't matter anyway since sony dictates this and the companies under contract had one job of porting it to x and y platforms, no more no less

It amazes me that the need to make the Journey images undetailed had such an iconic result. Not only in the people, but also in the sparse details of the ruins, and animals. It's perfect. Whatever you add or subtract, it always makes it worse.

You'd think there should be hands or arms. Nope. Just eyes and legs, covered by robe, hood and scarf. Not even feet.

Looking at the development of the artwork, in the art book and elsewhere, you can see that it started off good and got better. The artists, and whoever else was making the big decisions, did a wonderful job.

You can get up to half of the trading cards a game offers through play time alone (exception being free-to-play games which require you to spend money), however after those initial card drops you'll have to buy the rest through the community market

Hi, I bought Journey yesterday and finished it without having any problems, today I logged in again and it started lagging like hell, I looked up how to fix it but the nvidia control panel thing didn't worked either. Hiii everyone I’m currently downloading Journey and wanted to ask if anyone is playing it too and might want to show/help me a little bit

while arranging a meeting with someone in Journey is possible, it's quite tricky to do as the game matches you randomly with other players.
but the game also isn't all that vast and complicated that you need guidance. it's fairly intuitive and fun to explore on your own.
my advice is to just start playing on your own and see what happens. the first journey is something truly special, and I hope you meet a great travel companion along the way

Sony owns Journey, and they ported it to PC and iOS, but never ported it to Android. And support for iOS has since stopped. Unlikely that they will port it to Switch at this point.

It has 5-6 levels iirc, you keep eating until you reach the end of 1 level and then respawn as a different creature and can eat again

I really like that concept, like you have an end ess at the end and after that you eat an egg and then become what you ate - you basically restart as a creature that has been your enemy before

and zero crossplay across all platforms, tho ps5 uses the ps4 version so thats the only kind of exception
epic games version unfortunately has the worst situation since there was a server to help connection for restricted environments which has been shut down
ps3 is the most reliable along with steam
there's no server on any version of the game, just built on top of the network platform.

How would you fine folks rank the other TGC games, with my eyes mainly on Flower and Journey? I have only ever played sky and I am a little nervous about "moving backward".

Flower makes me go dizzy, but it's more of environment and artistry and truth be told, it's beautiful to see and feel

The issue you mentioned about Eden being impossible to fix is indeed a problem, but I remember that the official Sky lore originally had a concept similar to a battle between the King and the Children of Light, followed by a redemption process. I think it was part of Eden’s original setting, though it was later removed. What I’m describing here is just a conceptual idea.

We went through everything together, and at one point I was having a lot of trouble flying in a tower but them were super patient and try to help me lol. There's no ui or anything, you play by tilting your controller
Very calm game at first but very beautiful, can definitely recommend

motion controls are only available in ps3, ps vita, ps4, ps5bc and ios and ds4 on pc

playstation 5 backwards compatibility and playstation 4 consoles, the former means that the ps5 runs the ps4 version of the game
they basically turned the screen into a trackpad mapped to the joystick/keyboard/mouse
effectively downgrading from 6dof to 3dof

yay, i recommend to play that one with motion controls either on ps3/ps4/ps5 (not sure about vita) or with the tilt steer option in pc with a ds4 natively connected, its also on ios but the tilt leaves a lot to be desired unless you stream to a display/tv
