that's the intention, yeah. to avoid misuse of commands that won't be commonly used after the event ends (the exception is basically just !er since everyone uses it) a mod will pop into qnh and use the command once, and people who are active in that channel will eventually pick it up

imo very bad, ive never been frustrated by doing Eden ever before but now i was only feeling frustration. As a solo runner the crawling mechanic is the most awful thing ive ever seen in this game. I used to never do glitches to get trough Eden as it kinda ruined the level imo, but now i will definitely be learning how to do them so I can skip as much as possible. Everything just takes so long now

In the practice room you can only use instruments that you own, you have to equip the instrument you would like to use before going into the room. So if you don't own it, you can't try it out in there right now, unfortunately

went yesterday with a friend and we’re both pretty experienced in eden but we somehow got lost in ||pnr||, i think the whole layout has been updated + the difficulty increased

and the crawling reminds me of the “no running” feature back from my switch moth days, which is how i learned to do eden except the crawling is even slower

This whole “making Eden slower” thing should prove to the devs and the players that Ascended Candles suck.

The Eye of Eden should be without a currency reward. It shouldn’t be something that should be optimized or ran through. Going though Eden should be its own reward, whether you’re a moth completing it for the first time or a veteran helping moths out.

Remove ascended candles entirely. Wing buffs happen naturally. Elder hairs are unlocked at the temple. Please.

here's the thing right, it's scientifically proven that the more you try to push/force someone to do something, the more likely they won't do it. so the more TGC will push this horrible bond making scenarios like crawling and all, the more likely players are to "rebel" i.e. not put themselves in these forced bonding situations. i can confirm this for myself and my friends. we used to play a LOT when glitches, tricks, cr and and eden were easier. we were spending 5 hr together daily, not grinding but actually having fun i.e. bond making. and now?? i barely see them. we're long term fans and barely play together. it's really so counterproductive what's happening in sky right now.

The only reason crawling is hated is because Eden is improperly seen.

Instead of trying to take away the parts of the game that god-forbid make you get candles slower, address the problems with Eden first. Please realize that if you remove ascended candles, crawling will not be as disliked.

So the new icon that appears when skykids have lost their light alerted me to a moth that needed help in the beginning of golden wasteland. They were just wandering around the muck, and had the “help me” hand over their head after I lit them up. Helped them relive the fainting spirit, they friended me, long story short I took them through to the temple, and as I pointed towards the gate and frantically honked they stood there for a minute and then ran towards the krills. I got spotted and booked it through the gate. They’re probably still crawling around in front of the temple as I write this.

Not sure what you mean, DoR is an event, not a season, events usually don't have any quests DoR did however bring new rainbow daily quests in 2021 or 2020 don't remember- But that's about it. All that there is to DoR is the cosmetics sold at home and in the shop ^^

You can kinda AFK on the jellyfish and collect some of the light there. Not sure how well it works though, I’ve only hung out on a jelly for a minute.

Personally I think it’s kinda fun to fly around and divebomb the rainbow. I think maybe that’s what they were going for, what with activating rainbow trails when you fly close

I'm not a staff, but I think they began making these events with wax spots difficult to collect due to players attempting to go AFK to collect waxes and leaving their device on for hours solely for that. The team may have noticed how players began abusing such things that emit lights since Bloom's days (that one event with the bloom tree at homespace, which is also why they added the AFK timer.) Mistreating these things, I mean, being AFK to collect waxes from these isn't really the main purpose of it, nor is it why the team implemented these, but rather to enjoy, admire the added details for the occurring event, socialize with people, and etc.

There’s one jellyfish that travels in a loop along the rainbow, then below it in the opposite direction, and then back to moving up and along the rainbow. One can afk/relax/chat on that moving jellyfish for the rainbow’s casual wax.

The only small hiccup (which turns out to not be a hiccup or problem) with that moving jellyfish for afking on for wax is server merges/changes at home can warp that moving jellyfish to elsewhere on its looping-path and drop the afk character into the water, although that moving jellyfish will pick up the afk player from the water again as it passes by.

you can use the jellies to afk on, but if you have some sort of prop like the assembly tent or chat table then you can quick place it in the air and sit on it instead
i have no idea if its better than the jellies or not but its something you can do if you dont want to be dropped by server merges

I wouldn't personally recommend the season, and I wear the hat/beanie quite often. So I would say beanie.

$10 for one item or $10 for unlocking many items. Eventually all the items will return as TS I suppose (or will they?) and beanie should return next June as well, so maybe it's less about the quantity and more about your desire for the items outweighing patience.

A bit of a late reply, but since Rainbow doesn't end until a few days after the season starts, you can always wait until then so you can see and try on all the seasonal cosmetics before you decide

And I don't know, from what I saw from Noob Mode's video it doesn't look too bad if you head in with as many WL as you can. Moths will struggle, yeah, but moths already struggle. (Know from expirence) and devs actually (vague Eden description past pnr) ||made parts easier with the new hiding spots and the fact that they pushed back where the constantly falling rocks start along with the new lamp spots.||

Usually there's some sort of barrier in the area for the entrance and THEN people break in from OOB. When this season was first teased devs said that it might not feel like a season at first, so there might not BE a seasonal area. Wouldn't be the first time, as the first few seasons didn't really have a dedicated space. If you want to see what might happen, you can check in the beta channels, but things can change last minute before they hit live, so I'd just take it as a rough idea of what could happen.

Yes, I believe so. You have roughly 9 or 10 days to get it tho. So, if you try to get atleast 20 candles daily until July 12th prior to July 13th reset time, you may have atleast 190 candles, if not more

that woulda only happened if you were low on light already.
plus, after the first gate (where the rain starts) your light goes down much faster than it would ordinarily (a remnant of the cutscene where your skykid steps into the rain, starts losing light, then steps back out).
