Hiii, sorry for interrupting the discussion but I’ve got a question. I’ve been playing A LOT for a year now, since season of radiance. When I hyper fixate on a game I spend many hours every day playing it. I’d like to know if I’m still to be considered a butterfly or if I’ve become a vet. I did some Eden runs in the past but recollecting all wl was too overwhelming for me so I decided to never do Eden again and just to red shards ( I’m very patient lol). I always play solo cause that’s my way of playing every game. I can do cr smoothly and quickly and I know the shortcuts. I know most of wl locations and best routes to cr (that work for me). I enjoy decorating my nest and collecting cute cosmetics or just chill around and take photos. I completed all trials (at first with some help obv) more than once. Idk it’s just something I’ve been curious about. I know many people consider themselves to be veterans when a spirit from their first season returns as a ts but I feel like intensity is what makes the difference, idk though.

veteran is really a definition I dislike for the main reason that the definition is entirely subjective, but people take it as their view of the title is objective and true always, there's so many different requirements to be considered a vet for everyone I just wouldn't bother about it
some people think cosmetics make you a vet, some people think it's time playing, some people think it's how many passes you have, constellations completed, etc ect
i personally think it's about experience and how much you know about the game
but again, there's no actual definition of it, and that has caused a weird imbalance on the community that hasn't been positive

I honestly think in general, the server needed a reorganization. But there's no need to merge memes, music, and fanart into one channel, that's too limiting.

The main thing is the "community" category and" Sky: COTL" category should be moved, and some channels are honestly pointless. Like #pc-questions and #android-questions , which should be moved into #questions-and-help . Also, #eden-spoilers , which is entirely pointless (apparently, eden used to have strict spoiler rules, but not anymore)

I think in a server this size with a community as dedicated and old as Skycord is, there probably was a lot of thought into these changes and it probably wasn't done on a whim. I don't know if we'll get more information down the line, but so far it sounds like the creator club is more like a sub-community of art, music, craft and content within our main community?

to clarify, the creator club is separate and different to the sky creator troupe programme, the latter is something that you can apply for but members are hand-selected by tgc, whereas the creator club is open to all and anybody can join in this server

For me, I dressed up in my moth cape and challenged myself to just walk everywhere. I stopped buying things from TS just cause they were available and instead waited to see if I liked it.

I also officially moved into Aviary and set myself a long term goal of making my Nest all nice. Nothing stressful or time-based. I also made sure that all I did was dailies once I was starting to feel the burn out. Made me feel involved but didn’t spend more than 10 minutes on the game

The thing that made me fall back in love with Sky was viewing it in a different light. I was playing for collection and cosmetics, but there’s a whole other side! A lot of love really did go into the game by the devs and you can really feel it in the details! If you let your camera go, the game will guide you

The server rearrangement debacle did bring to light how many folks are depending on discord to store their image/video/audio files... That's a bad idea skiddos. You need your own storage that doesn't depend on a service or the internet. Like a flashdrive at least if you can't keep your files on a computer or larger external drive. ^_^;

Yeah I have a giant TB driver to store and backup my works

I use my own server with only me in it for ease of transfer between devices
