Honestly... I don't speak for anyone but myself, but if this game were actually playable, I would want to make the time to play it.
It's not even just about one thing or another. It's the fact that for the last nearly five years, this game has gone from something with a manageable and sort of expected number of bugs (of which the devs were informed) to whatever this mess is. Rather than do anything to maintain the game and ensure it had longevity and playability aligned with their intended life span and other development plans, they simply kept pasting over code and implementing events and mechanics which have no hope of running well.

And yeah, they expect us to pay for this. The fact that some still are is their own business, but I know that I was raised not to buy broken things.

Planned obsolescence is also within the gaming industry, and this is a really good example of a product designed to degrade over time.

Generally speaking, in the 15 years of games in mobile… it’s more focused on marketing, little things to make people buy in sense of necessity. It’s changed to getting the little ones to spend in the last month with 0.99 and 2.99 purchases, team up bundles. Unfortunately their focus is pivoting to the wrong way in sense of game direction

There are other posible explications that have nothing to do with the devs but with the speed of development and lack of a testing team which is a management problem. People when rushed make mistakes and this game develops at breacknecking speed to milk money from the whales.

It’s ridiculous. I kept getting the “ cannot dispatch to target area” every time I tried to get in garrison or besiege for the whole hour. Plus auto update came on twice during that hour with game updates. Second time I was burnt minus 2 million troops by the time I could get back in. Stop this event now and give everyone full rewards. It’s broken every day it has been active. What happens tomorrow. Kill it now!

Nexus what a pile of 💩. As well as bugs the whole event is a set up. It’s clear why the first few days were boring, they had to make the buildings super quick to take so today the biggest could take literally all of them (also really hard to defend when you can’t besiege it), but gave a few days to make smaller alliances feel like they got somewhere. The matching isn’t bad it’s an intentional setup to help some alliances over others

Matchmaking has gotta be the priority it's ruining so many events. Today's nexus for us saw us (a modest alliance with no maxed accounts) go against an alliance tried their best but were not near strong enuf

And then us against a mini alliance of super maxed whales who took and held everything without any real challenge. Before obv getting bored and burning every hq in sight

I got no probs with whales. Its their money to spend but at least put them up against other suitably sized wallets.

Nexus is the worst event with unfair matching and we can't do anything outside safe zone once we lose lv1 checkpoint, not like RR. We got matched with a whale alliance as our neighbor which took 5 lv5 cities, 2 lv2 checkpoints, and almost all lv1 checkpoints today. This whale alliance should be matched with other top alliances. Within the first 10 minutes, it's done for my alliance. It's definitely not fun at all. One more reason to quit the game.

We had a similar experience. Our only lucky break was that they were tied up in too many battles, so we managed to take back our L1 checkpoint.

However, I paid the price. I lost 1.3M troops in a single hit from their top whale.

We were actively rallying a weaker alliance to knock them out of their own L1 CP. We were far stronger but the fact that we couldn't use besiege at all let them win it. Bc they got in first and besieged a few times. We had other priorities initially... which we lost early bc we couldn't besiege.

I've enjoyed it whilst it's been working, but it's evident that it's been balanced very poorly, that some alliances have been unable to take part at all and, for those that have, there has been continued network issues causes lag and other unwanted effects.

My concern with that, YG, is that even though they see it, we don't. And that's by intention. So we can be told things are successful and blah blah, but without seeing the hard numbers of the actual effect, we could be getting lied to.

Considering many are primarily followers (and I don't mean that in a negative manner), they might see what the devs say as a reason to stick around. When in reality, people are jumping ship and being replaced by noobs from ported games. If players actually knew that, they wouldn't stick around. The company knows this, it's why they don't want statistics and metrics to come out.

It is true that they do, but there are other facets as to why feedback fails. This is simply because the extent of where we are today has gained more momentum than prior. I'm not saying that people were never happy, threatened to quit either, I've done it 1000 times as you well know. But its another vehicle. If it fails, it fails, but there will be a reference point also to point back to.

Survey/Poll though, needs to be clear on what we are doing because both deliver different things.

In context, it came about as something different (pinning messages and tracking the "I quit" crowd), but this at least is a little more balanced in approach.

EDIT: also just to add, it can be taken wider a field, than just the multitude of broken, illegible and unstructured feedback requests that result in something being removed or change we then later all wanted, or something being implemented no-one wanted.

First days of Nexus were not that bad for us, but today all problems just started, only a few in our alliance could attack lvl 2 checkpoint, then alliance who should not be able to jump to our territory did that, and took almost half of map, they would take probably more but other lvl 5 buildings were already taken.

Nexus has serious issues most notably it's a damage based mechanic and because there's no ability for the defending side to repair durability it's drastically weighted in favour of the attacking side, for the defending side to hold onto a building they need to hold a whole hour versus only a handful of minutes when attacking? This either needs to be changed to allow the defender to repair the building in the same manner that the attacking side can besiege it or the durability mechanic needs to be scrapped in favour of time duration as was the case in MM.

Mayhem didn't allow opponent on opposite side of map to take your r1 on day 2 and restrict your entire match. It had healing on top, thrice per day to aid recovery for any "war" efforts made so smaller hq had a semblance of hope.

The "randomness" is in the tiers they matched. There's a tier of A, B, C. A tier comprises finalists and those with a shot at it. B is mids. C is cannon fodder.

The only thing random about it is which of the 2 A they throw in a random selection of the fodder set

I noticed it kinda weird, saw it did t sell. Went to relist, it wasnt there. So i went to mail and double checked. Saw the mail is sendt in 30 minuts 🤷
