People are sick and tired of the trajectory of this game consistently aiming for the investors toilets.

Stability is worse than ever. Incursions are self-cancelling. Event role outs are a hot steaming pile every time.

Wave Defense for a whole new faction? I thought it would be cool for a source of Strike Team cards but as per usual, it’s a virtually unplayable joke, like Starbase Assaults.

I’ve spent $120 CAD over 22 months. This game was waaaaaay more fun a year ago before all the useless repetitive armada farkle of 2023.

Can’t keep up with all the to dos without being on for 90% of the day. This is supposed to be recreation, not a job.

You ruined what could have been a great legacy game.

Player sentiment is at a new all time low as far as I can tell.

There are just so many great games out there to spend money on. All gamers have a gaming budget of one kind or another. But Scopely has broken the trust repeatedly enough to withhold the 💰

I’ve saying for a long time that they need to convert those three 30s systems at the top into dupes of Delta, Karpinnen and Mige. The addition of more 40s systems was welcome, but my mid-level players shouldn’t be forced to start 40s (and need to be carried by bigger players who will take a bigger share of the loot) because there are no 35s and 37s to be had. There’s no guaranteed loot in the starter chest on eclipse uncommons and rares, so starting ones that are too big doesn’t have the same benefits as it does with normal armadas.

Dear Scoopley, you charge $100 USD or $130 CDN for a single in store pack that often has officer bps, millions of latinum and mats. Your 5 year anniversary is giving me x4 epic or x12 rare officer bps. Comparatively your 5 year anniversary is providing not even 10% of the officer bps value of the $100 pack and this doesn’t even include the millions of latinum and mats provided in a pack. ex-borg mechanic was supposed to help lessen grinds by trading ex-borg currency for other grinds currency, but you added so much vital research to the ex-borg tree, people will never have the opportunity to use the ex-borg currency to actually help with their grinds, as the research is much more valuable. ex-borg currency should be split into two difference currencies, one for research, and one to pull in the ex-borg faction store to help people with grinds. burnout is becoming a huge problem in this game, even clicking claim boxes takes 10 minutes each day

The game crashes everytime I do anything or nothing and it happens in less than a minute on my Android platform so in my view of opinion this app is completely rendered inoperable.

So here is what happens when I bring up STFC I attempt to go to Alliance Chat it errors then prompts a forced Quit. Same if I attempt to engage a gift claim or if I engage a ship repair, or as I stated attempt to do anything and if I just start it up it and do nothing eventually it times out and forces a Quit.

This latest update has made the client show hostiles in wrong location. I have my ship target hostile and it jumps across the screen. It's like there is a synch problem between client and game. Client is several seconds behind.

Voyager token systems have 1 hostile, and it's a specialty rare spawn that is not always present. Most attempts at summoning it will fail. That mechanic is working correctly. If you're trying to hunt 8472, it doesnt take a token system to do that. You need to go to the other systems in voyager space.

Feedback for Defense Waves:

As has been suggested by someone in my server Defense Waves can be looked at as a team building excercise. As Section 31 is hiring us to assist, why not do the same and hire players? Bringing in stronger players to help others say at reduced cost etc will allow weaker players to progress, not grief players when a random jumps in and ultimately lead those players to be able to pull some weight and not just feel useless while getting carried.

There should be an Event Store in the New Year, where all the smatterings of older coins can be used to both empty inventory, and to acquire something of use. Picard Coins, Shamrocks, Orbs... always a few left over each arc.

i'd even would opt for skipping a whole quarter of new events to fix bugs, but the problem is that Scopely only makes money on new things every arc, hence they're continuously action-packed with paywalled items. The money made on subsequent purchases are low. Why do u think we suddenly have 3(!) Battlepasses.. it's ridiculous to the extremes.
I'd be surprised if they would opt for dropping 3 months of new items (read: new stuff to monetize) and fix bugs. That would be too controversial against the current status quo and i'm sure shareholders and mmgt would lose their bonuses/profits 🙂

You managed the wave defense relatively well in terms of gameplay.
It's a lot of fun to fight in the wave defenses. You just need to be able to see who is currently in the system before you join. And perhaps the first player in the system could also choose whether it is free for everyone or only for alliance members. This would make things a lot easier.
You could still work on the strength of the ships and perhaps offer more different levels of wave defenses so that weaker players also have a chance.
Example:

• Wave defenses level 30 for players from level 28 to level 34
• Wave defenses level 35 for players from level 35 to level 41
• Wave defenses level 40 for players from level 42 to level 49
• Wave defenses level 50 for players from level 50 to level 59
• Wave defenses level 60 for players level 60+

New Lvl 46 here. I was trying to form a plan for research advancement, I like to know what I’m doing ( or pretend 2 ). But seriously, what power creep. None of the math really matters anymore. I am sorry you are experiencing that. I am ops 54. I start at least one random wave defense a day, usually me and another 55/56 fleet mate together, and we generally allow first come first server, purple or blue. Usually the other three folks are between ops 33-43. We rarely get past wave 6, but that’s really all you need. The folks who are pushing people out, well, they just kinda suck.

yea and sinc e pretty much all research is based % of 'Base' it all of a sudden isn't thht great of research after all. Plus, because overnite something something got changed, I now have to kill 12 lvl40s to charge this beam once instead of 1, it is nothing but a waste of time. There already is plenty of grinding inthis game, like having to replace 8770 Tier-up catalysts at 300/day because of a failed tier-up. Or getting on average 50 4*Rare gas /day but needing over 5000 just for some kelvin parts.
I guess I could always boost my play with 1 of the 97 USD 100/CAD 129+tx or the additional <USD100 pkg in the $$copely store.

I don't know if this has already been addressed, but with the Section 31 missions I still can't progress due to lvl 50 waves near Bravo. I am a lvl 43 player and any players who could possibly do lvl 50 waves aren't interested. Can you offer a suggestion as to how I can bypass the requirement to survive in lvl 50 waves.

The game is good. When it works. Unfortunately it doesn’t work.
There’s so many bugs that it makes it almost impossible to enjoy the game and in some cases complete the events.
Every time they release new content it breaks the game.
Very poor use of a great license.

As for Scopely……..this last year in hiring @tacit obsidian & others the communication on things from Scopely has notably improved and that’s no small thing, imo. If things are communicated more quickly & efficiently then I know what to expect & personally I’m much less frustrated. HOWEVER, to your point, the game still has constant problems that negatively & significantly effect game play. Here’s the thing though, Scopely’s made literally a Billion dollars each of the last few years…….so unless all the whales suddenly stop spending where is Scopely’s real motivation to tangibly improve the game & address the problems?

Well if you want to get into definitions, “free to play” means it costs you nothing to play, nothing more, nothing less. my guess is he refers to a similar problem I have raised with scopley myself, as did many others and nobody of us got an answer in over a week (saw the same complaint several times on discord). Which is that we didn't get matrix diodes to start the holodeck mission in the tng holodeck tab. According to some of my alliance members they have gotten the diodes with a chest. Level requirement is met but never got any diodes and therefore can't score in the event.

Now that is the worst timing xD They actually got back to me while I was writing this and granted me access to the mission I was not able to start. I hope others will get it in time to score in the event as well.

At ops 50 I can finally upgrade my Talios and Defiant, but they now need 5* materials.
However....
At ops 50 even after upgrading the refinery I cannot refine 5* materials. None of the packs in the store offer 5* materials so what exactly is the game here.?

Ops 50 was the highest lvl of grade 4, not the start of grade 5. The start of grade 5 is 51. The unlock of the tiers allows you to use grade 5 material to build up the components.

Just to be transparent, I believe my transgression was spelling out a redacted word in GC. Which I guess would break Scopely TOS?? However when personal attacks are made daily with religious, political and societal comments and nothing happens even though complaints are lodged with Scopey, I find that suspect. Support finally succeeded in opening the elite line for me.
It took me:

• 1 email to support with screenshots and all which was closed down with the default response we already have seen here.
• 1 chat ticket with the bot first, then some time later with a supporter. Again describing problem, upping screenshots.
  Response was a the info that devs fixed it and i should go restart game.
  Posted that it did not work for me. No response over the night.
  This morning asking them if there is something new? No response until this afternoon.
  Supporter asks me to try again and post another screenshot of my battle pass so he can escalate.
  Event rollover happens
  Some minutes ago another message in support chat to restart game again, they made some changes to my account.
  And voila! Fast pass elite line is opened.
  Only took them 24h to do it and the help of 2 different supporters in support chat which did not close everything at once.
  Thanks to those supporters for really doing their job. 😍

Best lesson to offer is ignore the hull and mitigation boosts until last. Impulse, iso damage, and crit chance/damage will have the more noticeable impacts up front. Most people already have ridiculously high hull and mitigation buff percentages from other researches, favors, and artifacts so even 400% to 600% gives maybe a realistic 2-3% ship power boost at times

I used to be so invested that I would joke that Scopley had my soul on a shelf.

Now, I have a feeling of dread about the game ‘chores’ and regularly give up after a succession of crashes.

I procrastinate playing because its all just too frustrating. Even collecting daily chests is laborious.

For my mental health I need to quit playing, I’ve invested too much to jack it in just yet. But the proverbial straw is nearing.

Things that would keep me playing:

When the officer Flash Pass was activated 4 days ago there was a error to prevent the activation if bought from apple store.

What Scopely did with 100% of the tickets is to make a fix that only fixed 80% of the problem.

Then they autoclosed ALL tickets and the rest of the 20% players got screwed.

I have a (new) ticket open for over 4 days. Absolutely zero responce from any support!

This... but was able to find the reason for this issue. A hidden cache folder within home directory tree is preventing game client from reloading game status files from server, so it got stuck, without any exception and timeout for a retry or resync. Found in local temp directory folder, deleted it, restarted and game client was able to reload game status, now working again. This folder will not be deleted or initiated by uninstall or repair the game client. 🤬 In Germany we call it "Einmal mit Profis arbeiten!", or "Einmal ohne Vollpfosten und Klappspaten arbeiten!". 😤 That cache got corrupted by 24h internet disconnect, the client ran into this and isn't able to flush and reload the cache by itself. 🤪

It was a theory suggested by someone, that makes sense. The game seems to use a lot of ram, the suggestion being things are being sent from the server rather than stored and loaded from the client, or it’s possibly leaking, or retaining data inefficiently. And as devices run out of ram, the app crashes. My iPad (Air 5) has 8gb of ram, and the app doesn’t crash. Most of those reporting frequent iPad crashes say they have a regular iPad. The 10 has 4gb, the 7, 8 and 9 have 3gb. I find that a reasonable argument. Of course, the app shouldn’t need huge amounts of ram, that’s just silly.

I would argue it violates the player community guidelines specifically the principle on “Play Fairly” obviously incursion is intended to be a server vs server event and by griefing someone would not be playing fairly. Also this player had quit the game and that’s an issue within itself that this person isn’t actually playing anymore and weaponized their account to throw an event and make it impossible for another server to have any chance of winning. Game s.ucks. When I am not even involved In incursions and just killing hostiles for daily event I crash after every 3 or so hostiles about every 45 seconds. You can keep this game, I can spend my time on better things than constantly rebooting game after constantly crashing.

You then gave them the borg cube so they have 7 shots against us free that will eliminate most players ships. And the only counter was a 40% chance of pon activating. But then you give them Sloan which can negate him completely. So you have completely and 100% removed the ability of any player not a titan to defend against them except to shield and do absolutely nothing.

You can't beat money. You have made this game a pay to terrorize ftp to big spenders. You are absolutely killing this game with pay to win. We have no counters whatsoever now. Why?

This is a combination of worst traits of dictatorship and socialism. Those at the top make everyone else the same bottom feeders.

And the real kicker, raiding is dead again for the most part unless you can catch a titan. I need 1t+ par a building now. Even if I was getting 1b a scoop, that is 1000 scoops. Even at 5b a scoop, that is still 200 scoops. At a max of 10 scoops a minute (not sustainable, that is 20 minutes. More like 40. At 1b a scoop, that is 3.5 hours. And each scoop returns less and less.

I don't even look at bases unless there are T's on the resources.

Dev's: server 172 seems to have an issue with a player for a couple of incursions now, not being able to login/no notification of raid/other problems. all during an incursion obviously. this player will request the raided resources back, customer service will do a basic job, give tokens rather than investigate and allow this player to stockpile unraidable resource. This is an exploitable situation that is completly brought about by lack of foresight. if a lack luster investigation is going to just compensate the player, please provide the resources directly not tokens.

why do we have a donation event where you donate against the server against which you now had the incursion and before the incursion you already had a donation event against the server? It's probably not enough that you're below level. 60 players versus over lvl.60 players donate resources and I only get resources at g6 when my level is over. Can't you balance it out slowly?

There are many players in the 50+ range that 40+ consider whales that are low or ftp spenders. The titans is a new term for the whale of whales, the 61+ crowd. You have to have spend 10's 1000's to be up there.

I "reset" the system after every node as habit at this point. Force closed the game multiple times because I have see them appear/spawn that way also. I just couldn't believe I cleared that many nodes and not one rare node. I needed 400k more for my second chest.

You target a ship, click the button and it brings up a log, there's another button you have to click, and it brings you to the station location
