Ive been tempted to get some 3440x1440 monitors for the widescreen advantage on some games but i also know that it’s not always supported.

Idk im curious myself as im figuring out which one im going to get when more drop. I want to know for myself for the future lol. I usually just play it on a 4k monitor since the higher resolution plays the game better than widescreen. I could hook up a few 1440p monitors and then use the nvidia tools to span across them to check myself but then i have to reconfigure my desk just to put it back 🤣

A lot of games get really wonky over 2560 x 1440p. Many get really bizarre over 5120 x 1440p. Incompatibility comes with the ultra wide lifestyle, but maybe it’s something else who knows

The Mantis grind is horrible. Broken/stuck hostiles make it even worse. When the F2P get their ships, it will be unplayable. Please increase the loot drops for actian hostiles. This activity should not take more than 10-15 mins per day. I wish I could get a refund.

@tacit obsidian @royal solar The reason why events don’t score or work is that there are no consequences to Scopley only to their customers/players. The solution is to give credit to the players for several events. For example, the Espionage event Business As Usual failed to score to give all impacted players credit for ALL of the ESPIONAGE events and all milestones. Make the pain be felt on the other side. Same for Lat Rush on Mondays, if scoring doesn't work after reset then give all impacted players credit for the entire event and all milestones. There is no reason for anyone at Scopley to change if there are no consequences.

Another sad change in Scopley's desire to increase profits on the back of the players who continue to cough up cash. THe past event arc epitomizes the greed this company is succumbing to. A year ago buying the elite BP assured you of not only the rare officers offered in that event arc, but the epic officer as well. 6 months ago this changed to give you only the rares, with no chance of securing the epic even when placing on the SLB boards. with this latest arc Scopley has sunck to a new low. Not only do you not get the epic after purchasing the "Elite" BP pas, you don't even get the rares. To what end, the $140 (CAD)? So you get more res and other meaningless trinkets.

I'm not sure you balanced these solo armadas properly. The uc loot pull is 743k at my rank (almost double from last rank), but only gives 155 credits, rare solo directives and otherwise nothing very useful. The grind would have me getting uc solos, to get rare solos, to get sisko shards... but I'd be sacrificing a LOT of credits, rep, and favors (research) to get there which would more than make up for the boost sisko would give in armadas. Those favors are also impact more areas of game play including pvp. Even the solo armada SMS's have mediocre loot with point scaling that punishes players for not dumping rss into multiple ships. By not participating in these I've actually done better in terms of power, research, and overall progression.

The toxic behavior on S72 has gone way too far.
So far that the trolls of s72 managed to use Scopley's own Support system to exact their harassment on me.
I have been done dirty by players literally cheating and Scopley has practically ignored me.

I did contact cs. That was Saturday without any response yet. My usual wait for any cs response is 8 days and they close tickets without resolve. So, scopley added alliance starbase and made it locked with alliance rep. So if you leave your alliance, you lose all rep. Fair enough, however, why didnt scopley add a way for Alliances to remove a Admiral that gone AWOL. I would really like to know how this can be fixed as it is a problem for my alliance but I am sure there are other with the same problem and its insane if we are to abandon the alliance and start a new when loads of players have invested quite a lot into the alliance.

Is your server or alliance always at war? If not, it shouldn't be difficult to do max pulls on 3* all the time. The bonus refinery is definitely a worse conversion rate than the normal pulls, but its all extra bonus. If you are constantly at war, I'm not sure I'd even bother with the bonus refinery if you aren't regularly doing max 3* pulls. The extra normal 3* pull will be comparable to the bonus refinery at a much better rate...

1. Your ships mine while you're offline, you don't have to sit there any watch them mine 😆 . I set mine before bed and rotate them in the morning, that gives me enough for max pulls everytime. 2. If you don't have enough raw stuff to pull your normal refinery at max, don't bother with the bonus refinery and instead pull extra on your normal one.

Change pvp levels. A level 50 and up should not be able to punch down more than 10 levels. It pushes people to quit not spend. A 56 hitting a 41 is pvp in the same sense a baby can take on Larry Holmes. Time to fix it.

Borg is nice. You have to go through the pain once every two weeks. For that borg is a meaningful time investment. Actian hostiles are a time burner. And as i do not do them because of it, it frustrates me enormously

It’s funny how so many complaints are of being bored. Whales are bored because they bought everything. Free to play get bored for same old grind for same old rewards. Worst part of the game is no matter how high a player is they all get the same lvl 1-10 rewards. You hunt in lvl 30 and above systems yet still get the weak 1&2 star ships as a reward. Rewards really should be based on lvls .ship bp should have a cap just like officers. I mean cap it at a certain amount tell at least they spend some . No one needs 40 billion of one freaking ship bp especially not of 1&2 Star ships .

It really should be done like all the other ships . Let people build and scrap this just like all the others. Yes it's why. If you move your base in a warp 40 system, then you need warp 40 to send ship out too.

the warp range requirement is based on the routes between systems, any single path between two systems has a warp range requirement attached to it
so if you are in a system that has all the routes with a minimum requirement of 40 then you need 40 just to exit that system

I have no trouble logging into my account through the game but merely the complete absence of web control. What I seek is to reset my player ID if not the account it's self. Deletion will due fine. I'm not worried about loosing any progress. In fact I'd happily create a new I.D. if I could keep it. But I now have two accounts liked to two different email addresses both with the same payer I.D.. And being locked into the same ID on the wrong server is counter productive. Your whole account system in this sense has backfired. If deletion is the only solution then it's ok.

Incursions have proven that Scopely is capable of transferring accounts between servers past lvl 12. So why can't we get that as a permanent thing? I get not transferring to a brand new server while in your 30s or higher. But transferring between servers of the same general age or older? Why not?

Any idea of when all the zoom issues will be fixed? Dealing with lag is frustrating enough but having to exit the app and re-enter as soon as you enter the game cos the zoom is stuck is beyond frustrating. That's not even the only zoom issue, the game zooming in every time you go into a menu makes multitasking while grinding hostiles difficult, especially when you're grinding actian or traders and need to be zoomed enough to see which one's have exos or which traders are light or heavy

I know I say this as if other's haven't complained but with everything else going wrong in the game, these shouldn't really be a problem since the zoom function is an important part of the game

Yeah, this was a pretty trash way of handling this. I know it's not your fault, but this is not how you treat your players. Just so we're on the same page, here's a recap of s65 over the past week.

1. short notice incursion prep, implying will be matched against a server.
2. we get 1 day notice of a merger maintenance and an announcenent mentioning to expect gifts and events.
3. merger happens, territory resets, no events/gifts. Support has yet to respond to any tickets regarding this.
4. announced we have a bye week for the first week of incursion with f2p mantis sourcing and st officer sourcing.
5. now we find out we have another merger coming next week?

I get that scopely likes to keep things close to the chest, but this sort of treatment is what gets players to quit.

S65 and s64 are two different types of servers in general let alone the details of the two servers. Mergers like these with little known information to the players and little known information about the servers from the company generally lead to mass quitting within the first few months then a stablized period then next thing you know, mergers are being talked about again because of population. The servers in this game have a life and soul of their own, each different. Forcing a unification of two lives and souls without knowledge of either can be disastrous.

As u might have noticed, my alliance tag is "IT", i'm italian. Italians on servers are very very rare, and as a nationality and group we struggle A LOT to keep our italian community together, while other communities are quite rich: like germans, russian, british and so on
Thanks to the incursion we managed to have contacts with italians of other servers and we formed a group, a discord hub that collect italians playing STFC in all the server, situation is the same everywhere: few and scattered.
we would love to play together in one server, to form an italian big alliance.
I'm leader of one of those italian alliances, the biggest so far, but our mid-level is low, due to the fact, that in order to keep the alliance alive we had to recruit lower level (below 12) from the newer servers
You might rightfully argue "ok, why don't u just go in an international alliance? Why stick with all italians?"
Badly, as u might know, italians, french and spanish people are not really fond on english language, plus, this is a game that has a lot of "mature" people that knows just the Italian language, so the language barrier is a big pain for them
hence the need of having an IT community (i'm just an exception, i love english language :P)
So, since the help desk can't help with this issue, i'm trying to do all the possible things to make this "merge" possible.
I have also some ideas on how to that, but ofc, i wish will be a consent for this request

I also understand that playing the game should require some effort, time, etc. That being said, I believe there's a time and place for it, and I don't think that trying to grind out hostiles should be the place for a struggle. The main example I have, for myself is capital traaders. The spawns on the regular transports, in all three systems is abysmal, not to mention the broken ones that float for weeks or months before the script is run to clear them. This is hostile grinding for dailies. Most don't hunt there for the fun of it. I feel that this is a "quality of life" issue that could be addressed. You want players to advance. Scopely has been pushing that for some time. So maybe it shouldn't be so hard for players to work on something as simple as theif daily rep grind? Just something to consider. Thanks for listening!

Wouldn't want anyone to get those shards they can sell for the low low price of $100 for 25

The threshold for being allowed to attack other players is ridiculously unbalanced! 2-5 levels either side is adequate! 12 levels though??? Does nothing but allow bullies to throw their weight around and ruin the game for others! I’m level 25 & get assaulted by a level 37 and his credit card…..you facilitate this! This allows others to feel bullied, threatened & lose interest quickly in playing the game! Some have even quit the game because they can’t enjoy it anymore without some credit card or other player beyond their scope assaulting them…often for pennies! Just because they want to make a statement! You facilitate this culture of bullying! To expect players to shield to safe is a example of poor gameplay mechanics! People don’t always remember to shield or at times shields elapse whilst sleeping, at school or work!

Please review this! Decrease the levels between players required to attack others! Maybe consider just reducing the level to attack lower levelled players as they’re, we’re the ones at biggest & most unfair risk and can do nothing except “shield” to stop it!

Just to put a different take on this, the large brackets allow you to steal things (and RSS) from higher ops players who have tons comparatively to you. Yes, it means warship for warship you’re not in a great spot at times but these players can solo eclipse armadas (and you can then rob them for that loot) and when they oversleep their shield you can get millions upon millions per Amalgam scoop. 🙂

Regarding webstore. On 3 occasions in last 4 months I have tried to contact support to fix my problem with access(which was working fine earlier). Problem still persists. Pretty much all 3 occasions looked similar. I have stopped checking my email after 3rd day, and support would contact after 5th day or not at all with a questions which was already answered to a bot and which could be clearly seen from transcript. I have sent screenshots of a problem, tried different browsers and computers but with no luck, with all information passed to support. Simply put problem is ignored by them... I have contacted them numerous times during my play... Paradigm of communication with support was follow up questions which I got at one point "Did the problem resolve by itself?"

Anyway I'm 3.5y into a game, but in last few months technical problems with a game, pilled up problems like I have with webstore and especially lag in recent weeks make me questions if I want to take a break from a game. Today more features will be added and what is normal more bugs. This would be considered OK if there was actually some will shown to actually respond and fix problems reported by players.

While I reserve the right to come back here grumpy when the event schedule comes out, I want to give credit where credit is due. 100 days to completely FTP the Defiant is amazing for FTP players, and the ship brings enough value to inspire the spenders to get it earlier (if it’s priced from $20-$50, I would think).

Morale also boost your piercing stats (so more damage gets thru). Combined with the extra shots and damage boost (yay more damage!), it may may Explorers fairly strong. But I still think the ST crew is bonkers strong and none of the other crews come close. But time will tell

scopely has trapped a lot of players that are 40-45 now with the bajoran armadas and now defiant, players were encouraged to push ops while only upgrading 1 ship, as that was enough to do things ingame, now players of that ops will find it almost impossible to do bajoran chest pulls, and thus get defiant bps, as they don't have the amount of ships upgraded to do them at the level they need to get the solo armada chests

Perhaps I completely misread the officer descriptions… but it seems to ma that the Explorer Strike Team has been designed to almost completely counteract the effect of the Interceptor Strike Team. The officer ability of Pon (reduce critical hit chance each round) counteracts that of Garak (increase critical hit chance each round). In fact, a tier 1 Pon (-52%) completely nullifies a tier 4 Garak (+50%)!!! What the heck?? Is that correct? The Interceptor ST crew gets its advantage from critical hits (and hull breaches to boost their damage), so this crew GUTS that. How is that balanced at all? The Interceptor ST crew doesn’t nullify the advantages of the Battleship ST crew, and the Battleship ST crew does not nullify the Explorer ST crew. WHY THE HATE FOR INTERCEPTORS, Scopely?? Seriously, after all the money you squeezed out of players to obtain and upgrade those officers, then you turn around and completely betray them. (But why am I surprised?…)

there were times, when new ships came with the free to play way (!) of the battle pass like the vidar and the stella at the first arc (!), so that at least since part 2 of some those arcs, every player (paying or not) could participate. now you bring ships at the 3rd part and hide them behind paywalls.
there were times, when primes were reachable without spending like the 3* refinery primes and all that stuff. now it's all paywalled.
Some parts of the game are just massive grinding which is not possible for anyone who has a real life.
It's building up more and more frustration and the game ceases to be any fun at all.

Completely disillusioned with the Defiant. In the Lore, it is a powerful escort ship designed for fighting the Borg. What do we get? A support ship. This is as far away from the Star Trek universe as it could have gone. Please, for the sake of your player base and retaining players, rethink the defiant! If you want it specialising against dominion, fine….but make it like the Vidar so it has buffs for itself against Jen hadar targets, not supporting other ships!!!

I paid for the full unlock. In order to get the ship-specific parts to upgrade it or the currency needed to complete the research to activate and upgrade the buffs, you have to buy a daily allotment in the Bajoran faction store using Bajoran credits. This ship is supposed to help progression through the loop, but will require a long term diversion of credits to the ship rather than the favors and rep. These don’t appear in the Bajoran faction store until you build the ship.

I sent in a ticket for the same issue (missing rewards, transporter patterns in place of officer shards for maxed officers from Swarm Sunday events) and the bot did the same thing to me.

I did not learn of it until after I had completed this past Sunday’s swarm events so I will have to verify this on Sunday when they have the events again.

Per the video @molten sequoia did The transporter patterns are NOT being awarded properly and at least one person received some from support after pointing this out.

We all need to know how long the issue was occurring and be given any transporter patterns we are missing which we should have received. Plus the events need to show what is actually awarded so that players can track and make sure they are receiving the full proper reward.

This is a basic concept that start up gaming companies understand, so in established company with a high value IP shouldn’t need to have this explain to them by their customer base.

Then to upgrade the research, you need another material and a pack for that. Imagine when the ftp players finally get it? Scopley isn't getting enough money, and people are dropping this game quick enough especially after incursion, which scopley thought all those players who got raided to the Moon and Back, to no Rss at all, who Buy more packs and get their rss back. Tons of platforms have been dropping game packages to help the players out knowing players have no much to play with to keep them interested and all. I'm not far from quitting now. This could be my last arc or maybe I'll see the end of the year. Haven't decided yet. Too many new ships and officers, new loot for new ships, all things that are just making the game bigger but not more exciting. Been a great 4 years but the last year or so more for social reasons. After TC spiced it up a bit it got better then with incursions the first few battles were great. It's died again sadly and constantly introducing new ships and officers just doesn't do anything for me anymore.

The new explorer crew is a joke right? It has way less extra shots than the other 2 crews, because its only added for 2 rounds compared to 5 or unlimited… and the extra dmg is crazy low if you take the current research level and crew buff into account…

This cant be real right? Have you tested if a explorer can win vs an interceptor on equal power? The interceptor crew gains so much more dmg, that it may compensate the ship advantage and win…

Since yall haven't seemed to figure out the coding for the event and basic use flags to notify players that something needs attention, why don't you code a button to let us TURN THEM OFF! any feedback on the new explorer strike crew? I am pretty sure the Heg'ta will win vs. an equal power Enterprise A... with the ship bonus it gains way more critrate, than the explorer crew can mitigate and after about 3 rounds, it starts to do his huge crits while at the same time gains about 2x the extra shots of the explorer... this will easily outpwerform the ship advantage of the enterprise.... adn the extra dmg from the explorer wont change anything if you allready are at 1000+% dmg from crew and research...
Is this how it should work? I am realy exited to see the first combat log...
