TA doesn't use Avo B btw. She opts for newton B instead in the context of SS MA 0s kills

but every scenario is technically different. There isn't really a specific amount. It just depends on if it's enough to kill or not

if you're already killing, don't affix. if you're not, and barely off then you can affix further

if SS kallen ever shows up she might be one of the tankier things to measure on.

Or SS hellmaru? but you might opt for a different team in that case

Affixing makes sense when you're using the valks in Abyss in Redlotus/Nirvana or in SSS MA, which you defo aren't doing with those 2
Getting some baseline stats for SS MA can make sense, but considering that you're asking about the stat you should be pursuing you don't have a specific strategy in mind

there's alot of other factors in the equation too such as your dorm squad, dkeys, emblems, ELF (i have been getting my kills fine without durandal or project bunny ELF)

but for now the most concerning aspect is your lack of MEI for SnS. You can try and see if other things are viable but i'm not going to know what.

and if MEI ends up being too major, then no amount of affix will fix that issue

affixes are just minor. SS MA really isn't important. Prioritize your abyss clearing and newer valks with your affix resources until you're confident you're truly in excess

well hold for now until a use case you care about comes up

but yeah you might especially want some kind of swap cooldown reduction elf depending on the team/strat

kiana is the main one to consider because she also covers fire/lightning, and at high enough stars can find very niche use cases even for astral ring teams

but if you're only focused on these TA kills, then

• durandal is more usable out of the box but is weaker in the long run
• project bunny is stronger but cannot ult right away until you upgrade it further
  • pb elf might also find niche cases in astral ring teams at 3* or more but even less so than kiana elf since it only covers phys

in the meantime you might want to consider other options for SS MA clearing if 0s is your goal.

• HoHE w dkey as leader with thelema main dps is very common as well

• HoO main dps with HoFi w dkey support also might be viable especially against newer/probably tankier SS bosses (sampo/lantern)

• shigure kira main dps is something i also personally use but i don't expect you to have it and wouldn't recommend spending resources to reach for
• and i'm sure there's more since SS MA is so powercrept by now

just keep in mind the main rewards to get from arena are

• 100 crystals and 1 source prism from just clearing enough fights
• 20 crystals per sss boss from clearing them quick enough (quite lenient. use buffed mode if you have to)

again no need to rush for a decision now if you don't see any actual specific strong uses out of it

if you're already not making any notable use from getting it now, better to keep the flexibility of the box in case something changes down the road

maybe they'll give a free kiana elf directly in the future. Maybe you'll encounter a hyper specific case that wants something that isn't kiana elf

but the moment you choose to take from the box, you can't undo it

If you are a f2p meta player, you should not pull gacha AstralOps - only players who are retaining or trying to retain Nirvana should consider it if they have the funds (unlikely for f2p players).

Reasons:

• Dreamseeker is good enough despite being free.
• Too expensive, especially if they need SS (~20-30k).
  • AstralOps have the same cost as a gacha weapon, therefore pulling one may result in being unable to afford a Valkyrie's weapon down the line (for meta players, this means skipping said Valkyrie entirely).
• The damage and score increase they provide in Redlotus and below is often minimal and not needed to retain.

The idea of a best team in a vacuum doesn't truly exist in HI3. Abyss is the main meta mode of focus and scenarios there change constantly. These scenarios are very biased that you're basically constantly counterpicking against them

i can still attempt to answer your question anyway though. Just be mindful that whatever team i give you shouldn't be used constantly in all content. Keep an open mind on what else to use

• LoA wants supports to have the heavenly shift tag.
• HoHE has that tag. Nobody else does.
• So to fill in the last slot, use VBm who is RoO for partial benefits (activates leader skill).

If HoHE was leader, this is a wheel of destiny team.

• WoD wants Harmonized Shadow Star tags on supports
• only thelema has this.
• use VBm for RoO
• WoD doesn't suffer as badly with only one Shadow Star support. You can still appreciate the full outburst as long as you pay attention to your Rondo durations.

If thelema is leader, this is a wheel of destiny team too.

• HoHE has shadow star tag. Nobody else does
• VBm for RoO in last slot.

just focus on saving up crystals to get new releases when you can afford them (valk and weapon together. 40k total to be safe)

reruns aren't really recommended no matter how best or good they may seem

all gacha astral ring valks can be used as a dps or as a support nowadays depending on how you place them in a team

but their dps use cases go niche shortly after their release.

Support wise as long as they match the leader, they can get pretty close. Some are still better than others but this finer difference only strongly matters in the highest ranks of the game

the important thing about bleed are more when a boss has a trauma bar it needs you to fill with a particular status to interact with its mechanics

one boss in particular takes a long time before it moves on to its next phase if you don't bleed it

and there can also be situations where effects (think leyline effects in genshin abyss) can emphasize bleed where you gain a huge damage boost if the boss is affected by it

the reason why i say to stay away from logic in other games btw is because while there can be similarities, hi3 is much older. Trying to force some similarities can lead to costly mistakes

a common one is everyone thinking elementals can crit in hi3 (they cannot) and spend alot of resources building crit stuff for their ice dps

so the finer aspects can make the difference

but for now don't worry about gacha ops

• the s rank selector: all of the valks are free there so ideally its for affix device if you're minimaxing attack on a valk (ideally one you use a lot, there's no rush to use these because usually the affixes you farm with ncc is fine)
• weapon box: nothing is rare or relevant, only get something if you have a rare case

First one is a ticket which max levels a prism stigmata for free.

Second one is a weapon box, seems old to me but you can show me which weapons are included if you want to know more.

The rest of the boxes except for the 4th item give a free prism stigmata for a specific valk.

Then an outfit box, stamina potions an a lot of mat boxes + another outfit box and an a rank egg at the bottom there are trial tickets for two valks and the stamina item you get for levelling up.

Xentinel Mei is just around the corner, I'd like to ask you about my pull strategy. First I'll pull Mei + her sig. Then pull Luna DK weapon. I'll use Mei + Luna DLC & VBM as the team.
Later for carnival I'll get Badum & FDD to complete Mei's team. This should be enough for me to clear MA at least SS consistently.
Now if I want to get another hypercarry team, I'll get PAWS, and have her team with Luna DLC + VBM. My crystal is at 60k now. Not counting a couple tickets. Is this good strategy, and is my crystal enough?

Can you tell us more about what your current roster is like? and what kind of personal objectives you have? Are you a spender?

For most players that may be f2p or light budget, I'm only looking for them to get XDC Mei with her Weapon, and probably also LV Dkey. Nothing else. At worst luck this can be roughly 57k crystals in cost. Even if you have any luck and leftover crystals, they should be better saved for future new releases. F2p might have to skip in the long term so minimizing these skips is ideal.

Yes there's carnival pulls but you should only spend free pulls there and the rates at that point are too low to expect anything. Newer players may opt to reroll here or on starter but other players should avoid this since crystals spent won't give you 100% value in the long term. These rerun valks are seeing less and less use and will likely fall off the meta sooner, regardless of how good/popular they may seem now.

Memorial Arena is not important to focus on, especially not so at SS difficulty. The only thing I recommend is to participate and clear for the 100 crystals and 1 source prism (challenge rewards). Ranking higher only really gives you more Ancient Willpower (AW) which only helps you get more outdated valks. Still something to appreciate but not a priority.

What does hypercarry teams mean?

• A team that carries you in clearing most content do not exist in the game. People who are forced to play their teams that way because they have nothing else. Abyss emphasizes all sorts of scenarios that eventually you want a wide roster to handle many different situations
• Or maybe you meant teams that rely on one dps, but this is most teams in the game. The leader is the dps
• Teams that focus on one dps staying on field for prolonged periods of time are common but also doesn't mean anything in terms of abyss coverage.

and you said you only have 60k crystals currently. Keep in mind that any full cost valk+weapon is going to be 40k crystals

• subtract 5600 since we're getting 20 tickets for free
• subtract 17k if you're not getting weapon. In some cases (not all) with some valks (e.g. FWS) this can be ok for support only uses.

long term i don't recommend it

but see how your mei and luna pulls go first (beware luna banner ends sooner than mei's) and see how much more you can get for FWS kiana if you really must consider this.

do you understand how team building works in this game? While Kiana does give various benefits to Mei and is possibly one of her better options, Mei is not forced to use Kiana. Other options can be ok

yes you can do them. For the first one you can afk the multiplayer matches

just be mindful of your remaining time. I don't know how long it'll take to match even with bots

for star tempering clash, you may consider going straight to the three man teams to get points immediately. 50k is across everything should be lenient (higher rewards are at the 80k range)

you do forgo 60 or so crystals from not doing the single character side, and that side also strengthens your 3 man side

main story prob takes like 3 or so hours if you want to sit through all of it but if you're mashing and skipping you might be able to get it done much sooner

Star tempering clash wants you to play a different team for each stage/boss

you can prob just follow the recommended lineups there even though this isn't typical advice

For Grail teams, your playstyle is generally buff with teammates > focus on dps for extended periods (25s). The dps generally wants to attack until they can ult, and focus on ulting as much as possible.

In outburst, DPS starts first then after an initial full sequence, supports swap in to perform their actions to restore a bunch of sp. Then the dps does one more sequence before ending the outburst.

Law of Ascension teams, emphasizes swapping around the team often with QTEs. Supports want to swap in every 15 seconds.

RoO teams. Buff with supports, and then stay on dps for extended periods (25s). Repeat. No real special gimmicks here.

Wheel of destiny teams. Buff with supports, stay on dps for extended periods. There are gimmicks here but that should be enough for this.

In outburst, use a support to start a rondo effect timer above your hp bar, which enhances your attacks. Use the other support when it's about to run out. Keep rondo up throughout your outburst.

Dragon Coralie and Vita are a bit more special. They buff with their ultimates.
